That thing is pretty fun to take for a spin sometimes, but it's not the same mechanics anyway.

Best thing about the ts54 is you can almost constantly double barrel, 560 dmg every 13 seconds, makes it a weird TD heavy hybrid, best thing is its gun handling, feels very snappy so you can always chip away at the enemy
Yeah if you can get the dumb double barrel mechanics to work, I cant even get oit to fire one shot when I want, I wont be wasting anymore money with WG its shite

This thing needs the improved survivability equipment no matter what. That ammo rack is made of glass. Before I put it on I was getting racked every single game. Afterwards it never happens.

The way i see it is that alot of the american tanks tend to have slightly above avg stats overall, so they never are the best tanks but they are pretty good tanks. Like this tank is definitely decent but not the best. its basically the is-2-ii gun mixed with an body/platform closer to the obj703.
TS-54 is a good tank.. Skoda T56 and Progetto 54 are also really good but.. hey.. under 7s one shell reload for a T8 heavy is insane :D And on the hill this tank is really, really good. Finally something that can compete the game braking BZ prem. I'm paying anyway, because I can, and because I benefit from the pay-to-win option, I think that's a great tank. I needed 4 games to get the "M"astery badge! :)
Transferring bounty equipment ofcourse helps a lot.

Don’t forget about the Caernarvon. It’s by far my favourite T8 heavy, coming in with a reload of 5.4 seconds. The TS-54 basically has the same gun but doubled and it reloads slower.
@@stevenbradford6138 i don't have the Caernavarvon. But the 6.5s reload for one gun is still insanely good. Armor is not too good unless you can hide the lower part of your tank. But still with bond turbo etc it's really fun. I am comparing it to Progetto 54 & Skoda T56 - my two favorites. But could TS-54 take down Obj 703-2? Maybe with much better mobility, yes, depends on the map.
My first 8 games have 75% win ratio and 1137 avg xp. We'll see how 100 games look like.
Haha, I just checked-my TS-54 has an average XP of 990 after 448 games, which is the highest among all my tanks (I'm an average playe, one exception- CS-44 has 6 games with an average XP of 1025). I adore this tank. If it were possible, I'd purchase it. To me, the stats of this tank are simply incredible. Absolutely love it.

dang, i never thought of this, a function they should add to the game is when you quickly press the salvo button, you'll swap barrel you fire out of when single shooting, imagine the tactics it could apply to the game that you would be able to fire out of one gun continuously, when sidescraping.
Needs a penalty. Im thinking a mix of barrels wearing out/over heating. Fire out of one barrel too much in too short of a time and your accuracy is decreased for a set time. keep doing so, and your accuracy is decreased until you pay a set price to "replace" the barrels in the garage. Best part about this is that it can be applied to all tanks

I don't think this tank needs a Stabilizer if I'm honest. Did a little experiment with a Bounty Stabilizer and Snap Shot directive on mine and it's very minor improvement over no Stabilizer and Snap Shot directive. IMHO, you can easely have two setups, one of which with Improved Hardening, Turbo and Vents, while the other one drops the Turbo for a Config, to prevent those annoying Ammo Rack damages. And if you have the Experimental Survival Suite T3, then maybe jack up an Aiming Device on ?
Yeah, Safe Stowage doesn't seems to be of great help - already had my "head blown off" 3 times since I've got the tank. I'm considering running a directive to rectify that one. Big issue !
WoT plus aswelll as premium and then the battle pass? how is it not already just the ultimate pay to win game!
I struggle to keep up when you don't spend anything on the game.
Here is the big question: If you subscribe to wot plus and grind out the field mods on this thing, then drop it and get it again a couple months down the road. Will it keep it's field mods or do you have to re-grind them every time you get the tank back from a break in service?

I love the 703 II, its my favorite tank. TS-54 is also awesome! My biggest gripe is the fact that we can never "own" it. That being said, the tank is a beast!
first double barrel tank for myself, how exsactly does the shooting work? What are the hotkeys to switch from left barrel to right barrel? Everyone on general chat Ive asked have said you are unable to do that. How are you firing your double shot without a wait time? In order for my tank to fire that double shot I have to hold down the LMB and wait for the meter to finish loading when I watched you do it it was instant fire. THere are some things going on in the game to where I am questioning certain players skills....like are there aimbots people are using or third party programs, legal mods to improve game play?

"218 penetration is bad" I have been playing long enough to remember when the 212 standard pen on the FCM 50t and the CDC was considered amazing.
I feel like the TS-54 is a hybrid of the Italian Progetto M35 mod. 46 and the UK's heavy tank, the Conqueror considering they are two popular tanks. The ammo rack, in some cases, seems fragile similar to some German & other UK tanks, which requires the survivability mod. It's very maddening that Wargaming hasn't learned from the feedback and simply wants to dig itself into a much deeper hole with these outrageous & expensive P2W microtransactions

Met this tank all day yesterday and didnt feel it was a threat and could easily take it out. Maybe I was just lucky.
This is my first time doing a build in this game, but I checked your build link and did not see what perks you chose for the crewmen. So I am not sure if that is a seperate video, etc.
I'm yet to achieve ant T8 tank, so I use Wot Plus for this tank for grinding credits. I only after 3 months learnt how to fire both shots at the same time lol. Handy when you think you'll only get the 1 shot off before the enemy hits cover. I also love how you can sit in a dip with just the turret exposed & rule your area, that is until wallet warriors load up their gold rounds & then your armour is useless..
I don’t really know how I feel about this wot + thing. I don’t play every day but I would say I spend at least $9 per month anyways. If it covered the premium days for the month I would do it .
They could add a feature where you only use your premium days when you play. Then for me 9 a month would be worth it.
Who in their right mind would give Wargaming $9 USD every month, for a lack luster tank that you don't keep if you don't continue to pay and still have to deal with the shitty RNG/MM.
So do you loose it if you stop the subscription?

What is with the delay when firing?
A WoW subscription is $15/mo, if you pay monthly. So, $9/mo isn't that bad in comparison, for what you get out of it. I don't pvp with WoW (Classic), so I'll be paying both. Looks like that tank is a blast, maybe I'll use it to refamiliarize myself with t8+.

Now everybody wants to use this new tank. Last night I came into a match with seven TS-54, three on my team and four on enemy team. Although the armor is good, the front cupolas are big and easy to pen, and if you have a higher Alfa you can just trade very well against it.

Hi Quick..., a question ? lets says you get wot plus and you grind this tank (TS-54) feild modification etc , and for a while you cancel the wot plus and then you come back to wot plus . Do you think that what you grind etc on the tank will keep where it was or you will have to start over .

If it stays in the garage nothing really changes, just no access to play until you pay again.
On the other hand, if they remove it from the garage it is like selling the tank: you keep your progress but have to buy the modifications all over.

I think wot plus is worth it. N I think there are alot of people will pay that mostly 4 the extra map slot exclusion. If your grinding some slow heavies u can exclude open maps. Few days later u wanna grind some arty n glass cannon td's. U can exclude city maps

I appreciate your regular push-back on pay to win, QB, but I'd still love a video on how you think Wargaming SHOULD monetize (I brought this up in response to a previous video as well). I don't get the impression that WG is just looking to increase their barrels of profit, but instead they are trying to survive having taken a moral stand that lost them many of their previously most important Russian player base (unless you know more that suggests they are doing just fine?). Many games struggle with how to best monetize. Some stick to only offering cosmetics and quality of life. For example, for the last 6 months or so I've been playing Fallout 76 and paying for their monthly Fallout 1st subscription. It doesn't provide any combat buffs but instead just quality of life and more cosmetics and crafting items (crafting is a fairly big thing in Fallout 76 because lots of people like to build interesting camps/housing). But I think a lot of people in WoT are like me with regard to cosmetics. I'll take and sometimes use new skins if I get them in an event or whatever . . . but otherwise I really don't care what my tank looks like. So, how to get people like me to invest in the game? Well, in my case, I like to just buy boxes at Christmas or whatever to get some premiums tanks but also with a strong intention to just support the game. But if not enough people will do that, then what? How does WGing stay afloat? I don't like pay to win. I'm a somewhat better than average player (maybe 70th to 80th percentile based on stats) who regularly gets out-competed by better equipped and more experienced players, and I don't relish such players getting an even greater advantage, but if I'm tired of getting my a$$ kicked at Tier 10, then I may just drop down to Tier 6 or something and have some more casual fun where I'm more likely one of the better players on my team. I just treat Tiers 8-10 as the more "end-game" part of WoT where those wiling to grind and/or engage in a some amount of pay to win have an advantage, and for WGing to be profitable and continue to invest in the game, I'm not sure it can be otherwise given this type of game.
wargaming could easily make a lot of money by adding microtransatcions that do not impact the gameplay. Skins for example, i still dont understand why i have to pay insane amounts of bonds to buy 3D skins. No way im paying 5k bonds for a single skin, that takes me a LOT of grinding T10. They could make new 3D skins and sell them for like around 5€ per skin and people would buy a lot of them. I for one dont really like the 2D camos, 3D skins however i find really cool and im sure many people (even the more casual ones) do care how their tank looks. Thats how most F2P games monetise these days, with cosmetics. They could add a feature to buy crew booklets with cash (could be problematic), maybe new commanders with new voices etc. They could even add an option to buy blueprints. They certainly have some options but they are foolish

since players don't actually buy this tank and own it, WGs premium balancing policy does not apply and has no reason to not balance or nerf tanks like this in the future
bro i killed in my Pantherm10 an ts-54 alone bc you can shoot easy on left and right side from the turet without any problems.

This thing is the trash can of the barracks, picking up any spare member that just stood there. As for it being OP or not, it's just the flavor of the month as I didn't see that many of them running around like their "permanent" cousins.
I needed to see this video. As a player that played every single double barrel soviet tank, with the 703 being my favourite, that knows that doubles are fired sparingly, in the right situation. It seems that this tank can double and get away with it, even when you double at a wrong moment. I've been playing this one the same way i played my soviets, which this video made me realise, is not what you should do. This one is more flexible and less punishing.
As far as the subscription point, and to the point of months or years from now, it would be nice if that after say a year of WoT+ you could have the TS54 permanent on your account (or other vehicles when the inevitably add more)

Nice recap, and appreciated, yet you failed to mention the lag when firing a single shot. There isn't the usual click-and-fire mouse response, but a short but very evident delay before the shot launches. I find it disrupts my shoot-and-reverse rhythm. Otherwise, its a fun tank.
it usually fires when you press the mouse button. With dual-barrel, it fires when you release the mouse button. The delay is how long you keep it pressed.
@@antontkachenko1644 Typically that's true, but not so with this tank. There is definitely a lag when trying to fire a single round. I'll test it again tonight.
@@johnhymanful yes, its there and very noticebale. With every other tank you aim, shoot and instant damage and you hear the shot. This thing you click the mouse button and it feels like a second later the shell fires. I hate this tank with a passion. 26% WR, its a liability. VEry few people using them, obvious why.
If you don't have some credits to spend on gold ammo, it's a struggle at tier VIII, penetration isn't the best with standard rounds, although the precision is nice overall. The problem here is the armor and the gun depression, 1st one difficult to get used to, 2nd one can't work in situations it would do.
The low profile can help sometimes, but the lowerplate can be easily overmatched even with a T6, and yes, i was killed by one of them.
Also the gun mentlet, i got penetrated by a T VII
@@alessandronardi6714 Remember mate overmatch is not the same as penetration, there are only about 3 or 4 tanks which overmatch your lower plate
had some fun with her but WG cancelled my WOT+ tonight for some unknown reason (in game, it's active on my WG account), I guess there are some bugs involved there :P Didn"t have the feeling it was OP, ROF does for the low dmg and the armor is good not God (arties pummeled all my games lol)

Since yesterday, I've had my "head blown off" 3 times already. Been going to repair kits like crazy ! That's out of 14-15 battles in total. Safe Stowage on one of the Loaders doesn't seems to be helpful. Like - at all ! Planning on running Safe Stowage Directive on this sucker.

You can't subscribe to WoT+ unless you already have a Premium Account. From what I've read Premium has more useful benefits for casual players.

I guess this is fine if you want WOT+ and play American tanks often. If you don't however, then it's made WOT+ look pretty poor value for money. Most of the TS-54's i've seen on the battlefield have not been difficult to destroy, so it's not an OP monster tank in the hands of most players.

Might just be me but I find that there's an annoying delay on this tank between the time I click the mouse and the time the gun actually fires. It's the only tank I have that does this.
Double barrels are finicky I've found. Just recently got the 703 II, and I struggle with the same delay you speak of.
Rebind a key to double shot, then the left mouse will fire a single shot with no delay.
WoT moves further and further away from reality.

I don't like rental tanks. They should just allow PLUS players to get early access and maybe a small discount to buying tanks like this, then selling the tank to everyone about 6-9 months later.

The subscription tank model having a garage of tanks like this could backfire. Why do you need any other premium tanks if WG makes it so they have a few good tanks that all crews can go into for a subscription. If they do that then why buy any other premium tank, why buy loot boxes, why grind out tech tree tanks. When you have paid hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars on premium tanks its hard to walk away from the game do to the sunk cost fallacy. But with a a subscription if you stop playing you also stop paying and can just cleanly walk away, since you have little left without a subscription. I think WG is going to push this to hard and this possibility will come true. People coming to the game, paying for a month of WOT Plus, getting their fill and seeing no progression advantage, getting board and leaving in a few months. They lose nothing because they will own nothing, all they need to do if they want to play again is pay for WOT Plus and have access to the best of the best. There is no investment into the game of time or money (things you own), that will keep people playing if they push this too far, and I think they will, its WG.
