Do you have more vlog vid, I just subscribed to your channel, from the comment you did saying thank you Dave for posting your car, the 409 bel air, I’d it right, thanks BigAl California
Raced 62 2dr HT SS 3685# 4.10 rear 4spd 327 w/202 valves and Chev 2020ths cam stright out of parts solid lifters. Did 13.36 112mph in 1970 . Amze yoyrs is in the 12s
My buddy in high school had a 64 Impala SS with a 283 and a 4 speed. It had the solid lifter Duntov cam in it. That thing ran awesome. It could have used some more cubic inches but it spun up to 8,000 rpm nicely :-)
@@dloneyv8good rpms… doubtful more in 327cu. in. that was why ‘66½ Camaro z-28 came out with 302cu. in. ‘cuz 327s quit making hp ~7500rpm. Bored ported, polished and solid lifters never could make hp with the 11.25:1 piston 2 bolt main 327 with 202 valves and hi-lift cam from Chev. . Its was sweet but you couldn’t miss a beat or you’d get run down at the finish - never lost
Yes yes yes m if we can see a shoe box 62 kick some butt, is really nice to see, p.s. is that car a 348/409 or what is it , thanks BigAl California, more please more, like share and subscribe, thanks people
Thanks for posting my car Dave! It’s been a fun ride and I’m humbled and flattered by the interest in the old girl!
Itching to go race again!
There is something special about it! 200,000 people can’t be wrong! :-)
