Calcium for squirrels: amzn.to/3XvSK1h
Mix the entire quantity of ground walnuts(1 pound), chopped walnuts (1 pound) and Kirkland nut butter, and add 2 tablespoons of vitamins and 1 teaspoon of calcium. You can make less of a quantity, but I like to make it all at once and store it in the fridge.

I feed the squirrels at my job. I park by the fence of a wooded area and i feed them peanuts in the colder months. They know my car, they know me by sight. They show appreciation. That's for peanuts and water. These guys must LOVE YOU! ❤

Okay, I just binged watch a few of your older videos. I loved them all and will get back to more of them.
We had a squirrel family move into a cupboard under our kitchen window. One day the babies all came out and sat on the patio ledge hanging onto the screen. So cute. Then we discovered mom had died. I buried her and fed the babies in the cupboard until I saw they had learned to rob the bird feeder. We’ve had such fun watching their clumsy antics on the feeder.

That cake looks so delicious, no wonder squirrels are so happy.
I love the little hand gesture where squirrels point to themselves. If you do it back, it helps them relax and see you as less of a threat for some reason. I use it with new squirrels especially

It's amazing how much pure joy can be attained from making an unexpected friend such as a squirrel (or multiple). I had immense love for a garage toad I caught eating spilled dry dog food one day, which led to me not parking in my garage, with containers of meal worms, drinking water, "restroom water", and freeze dried toad food. Thank you for sharing these adorable friends who are as lucky to have found you, as you them ❤

This video is precious beyond words. We had a squirrel who was the runt of the litter abandoned. We built a cage and he had a good few years with us. I love their mannerisms and boundless energy.
Your Kiara is very calm. My cats hunt down anything that moves around my flat. My landlord, who lives on first floor below me once said if we did not know you have two cats we would think that a horde of boars is raiding your apartment.
Amazing that you can tell them apart and have such cute names for all of them.

One year the squirrels ate most of my grapes! The next year I put out acorns for them and they left my grapes alone. Now it’s a tradition! And they have burrows all over my yard.

I live in Williamsburg VA. The squirrels in the historic district barely have any fur on their tails. I asked an interpreter why they were like this. She said it’s because the tourists feed them scraps with lots of sugar in them. So sad for them.
Why ask a stranger, Google ‘squirrels in US’ and find over 10 types of squirrels. I suspect that the squirrels you saw were a different species. Squirrels where I moved to in California were small, black and had very little fur on their tails. Google and learn about squirrels 🐿️
A "historical interpreter" isnt a random stranger. Most are native to Williamsburg and all are trained in the history of colonial Williamsburg as well as other information about the area includingthe animals to a limited degree. We only have 3 kinds of squirrels here, and 2 of the 3 have bushy tails. The third is totally different and rarely seen (flying squirrel). The squirrels in Williamsburg are so used to all the fast food in some areas that they're unfortunately quite aggressive. I can't speak to sugar but I know salt will make them bald and they mostly get offered fries. I don't live I Williamsburg but about 5 minutes away. Thankfully, our squirrels are nice and fluffly tailed here. 😊
I think many people have kindness in wanting to feed the birds and squirrels but may give them the wrong foods at times

It's amazing how Kiara is so relaxed and the squirrels don't even remotely see her as a threat. Our cat would have completely lost her mind if she saw a squirrel at our window!

my biggest joy was adding a squirrel feeding station near my bird feeders. very quickly the squirrels stopped stealing the birds' seeds and stayed in their own space with their favorite foods!

I think they like the bushes because their fingers and claws give them security. Metal is very slippery for them, like us on glare ice. Their natural response is quick movements when startled, so slippery surfaces feel less secure. They might like a rubber mat on the metal box.
