You'd have to spend a few more millions to make it tasteful again.
You'd have to. Which is N/A kuz you'll never even come close to having anywhere near that amount of money.
Some people, however, would like it as is.
Other people do have different taste to you, you know..
Haha yes indeed
You’re not wrong. It’s hideous. My guess is they’re trying to appeal to a Saudi prince who will no doubt snap it up and then forget they even own it.
Pfff 😂 true...
And just around the corner you can find a few homeless people
Only one word could ever describe that interior: ghastly.
I agree
I've seen a few London homes like this. The ornate opulence is really too much for me - I'd get a headache if I had to wake up to it every morning.
Ya, it ain’t pretty.
Wow to be able to only need 2 bedrooms in that home with what looks like a large family of potential visitors from the photos says a lot about the family’s wealth, huge and impressive space for London
Indeed. It was the home of a very influential billionaire investment banker who passed away three years ago. His family has extensive properties around the world and perhaps didn't see the need to keep a leasehold house in Eaton Square.
😯I think you'll need another 40 Million to make it look nice
😂😂😂😂😂😂
House interior is shocking but more of Amy please 👍🏽
I think it must be darts legend Bobby George that is selling it! 😉... proof that you can't buy class.
Each to their own. I think if you hadn't collected the pieces around the house or been involved in choosing the internal decor you would find this very hard to live with on a day-to-day basis.
i agree. it looks bloody awful to me
@@tonyclifton265 I was thinking; imagine doing the removals for a place like that. You'd need about a dozen removals vans.
Looks like it is designed for Indian or Chinese, very gaudy. Proof money doesn't buy taste, lots of marble that doesn't flow well with other colours. Only the library looks half decent but even that needs ceiling redesigned.
Love the exterior, love the location but........horrendous interior 😂
The interior of the houses matches the owners personality
Ghastly, boring, horrible, old fashioned , dull, stubborn, ugly ....
To be honest - this house is essentially missing two things: taste and an explosion chamber.
I had no idea Liberace had a London home.
Money and taste are two VERY separate things
Gobsmacked is the word I'm looking for, I guess. Amy did a phenomenal job for keeping a straight face. I would be hysterical. How would somebody end up with a decor like this is beyond me. I think you would get your money back if you organised tours and charged a tenner per visitor! Well, it may take 100 years
I LOVE the interior and the bathrooms are out of this world
Probably a Russian oligarch
@@gwendolyn7462 You must be 60 years old then.
totally agree,it is awful, the next owners will spend a fortune just bringing it up to date,
@@axnlogix pretty close---and still kick'n TAKE THAT!!!!!
Host describes the outdoor terrace as a “sun trap”… impossible considering it is a north facing garden with no exposure to sun at all on the rear elevation… 🤷🏻♂️
The entrance is incredible when you walk in. Nice place. My favourite place in London so far though has been the Belvedere Gardens penthouse.
Could not imagine ANYONE from the UK purchasing this home with its interiors ? Must be from the Middle East ?
Nah, it's owned by either European or an American..didn't you notice a pic of the lady of the house with Michelle Obama? As for ppl from the ME, well, one of the first things they look for is a lift..as they have huge families with older members. But this is configured as a 2 bed house, so definitely not someone from the ME or even anywhere in the East.
@@sithlordrj8883 I spotted Arabic calligraphy on one of the walls. There is a lift.
Perhaps the owner is Russian. More money that taste.
@@alanmckibbin5862 The home is flamboyant but no taste …their women are beautiful
Nah. Photo's on fireplace don't point to Middle East.
I suspect, currently owned by a Middle Eastern person. Would be very interested to know if I’m correct.
I thought russian.
It is definitely impressive, but living there I would constantly feel like I’m in an episode of Downton Abbey.
This nightmare makes Downton Abbey look homey and understated.
Not for me! But I can appreciate the quality of decor of this property 👍🏼
Didn't know kitsch was that expensive.
The 1800s Aristocratic interior actually looks pretty nice in some parts of the house. I'd say the house is worth 10 million at most which means the rest 30 million value is for the Location, Location, Location 🤑🤑🤑
I’m not disappointed by the interior. Love this! There must be so much of the owner’s history in this home, unlike houses that the wealthy only buy to park as an asset.
This is a recent reno, babe. Probabably Arab. They would gild their camels, if they could.
This is NOT antique... everything is just a little "off", a little TOO modern, in proportion. Still inspite of being overdone, it has a certain charm...
At least it has character. Not just a space with some interior design that will date every 5 years.
"London Exterior, Emirates Interior" - Sure there's nicer properties in London and the surrounding areas for 10% of the asking price of this place.
Amy did a really good job with this video presentation.
Thanks Philip!
Great upload. The interior is really nice. I like this house. I'm looking forward to the next video. 😄
ugh.. needs a complete makeover before they get my £40m
There is traditional, and there is outdated, this is the latter. Definitely Eastern European or Middle Eastern ownership.
Hopefully they can find a buyer with similar taste otherwise that’s a heck of a lot of landfill
AMY great job as always on the tours that you do, sorry this certainly is way too ornate for my liking, do like the room sizes and the bones of the structure, could use a complete remodel, Besides contemporary one of my main styles is 1930's ART DECO this would like stunning in that style, like the stone pillars in the living room and the skylights though!! And again you are paying for the premier location and size of the actual property!! GREAT SEEING THAT LOVELY SMILE WHEN YOU SAT DOWN ON THE SOFA, KEEP UP WITH THE GREAT TOURS AMY!!😀💯👍
My right ear loves her voice and my left ear likes the music.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.
Amy is so well spoken and sophisticated
How can this be considered tasteful. The owners wouldn’t happen to me from the Middle East?
Love the location and the phenomenal size of the house - but the decor and interior is vulgar and tacky. I am sure it is very very expensive but personal preference is minimalist and neutral colours.
I mean my God, this is so beautiful and exquisite!
WOW This is the one for me!
Very palatial, but I'd be overwhelmed by the amount of visual information within a week living there.
Eaton square in Belgravia?! Has this got something to do with that good looking Duke Westminster? Also I've been up for a day and I'm so tired my eyes saw the price as 40k. I narrowed my eyes thinking there must have been some sort of hardcore haunting going on there for it to be that price, then I realised I was just exhausted.
Absolutely stunning property! Congratulations!!
Amazing presentation.
Thank you !!
4:52 and it just keeps getting better
I would transform some of the room into guest rooms. But generally I like the vibe of the interior, taking me back to Victorian age. I just can't believe the toilet on the ground floor would look like that.
I think you skipped the kitchen---Nevermind 2:39 That the Iraqi billionaire never stepped foot in
Just removing every piece of furniture along with the pictures & portraits would make a dramatic change for the better. It's would make a remarkably beautiful home with just a bit of reimagining after that.
I know that you think bigger and more expensive is better but i subscribed while you were Mat and Summer and touring more down to earth places, which was really refreshing after watching american mansions all the time.
the principal bedroom so awesome 🤌🏻
All that’s missing here is Count Dracula and his Coffin, then the decor will be complete.
This one or the Heathfield Park Mansion in Hampstead London?
Same price but there's a big difference.
Looks like Elton John's Bathroom! Got to be New Money! Possibly a Russian Oligarch or Arab Oil Sheikh...
Thankfully a decor that reflects the period of the house. Not done perfectly by any means but at least the house has not been destroyed and a soulless ugly modern interior imposed which is so often the case.
i agree 100% so many homes these days lose their charm by modern designs i just think modern is soulless and empty in my opinion
I understand the house was done to complement the era, however I would get a headache living here. It’s like a Christmas tree with way too much tinsel.
Would have been good to show the kitchen.
5:35 lovely
I would move in tomorrow
4:09 WOWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t think I’ve seen anything as hideous as the ground floor, albeit it did get better on the higher floors. Amy has a good presenting style but a couple of things. A “food lift” is a called a dumb waiter’ and the 101 Dalmatian bathroom two toilets, one was a bidet
Looks like it was styled by someone born in 1850. Never seen such an expensive house with such ugly decor. Seems like somewhere you would expect someone like Jacob Reese Mogg to live. 40 mil for what is essentially a terraced house is also a bit of a joke.
You get a £5M Mews House thrown in at that price don't forget 🤣
1850 ? You're being really nice here, i'd say around 1700-1750...
It's got little to do with any past century or Englishman, everything to do with Middle Eastern taste in interior design.
The current owners clearly have more money than sense, the decor is hideous
I agree! It’s baroque
Imagine spending 40m for a property that doesn't have an indoor swimming pool., off street parking, cinema room and barely a garden.
The place looks cluttered and dated plus your wall to wall with your neighbours!
If I lived here, I'd stay here until I die
2 OFFICIAL bedrooms--I guess all his friends stayed at hotels
Thank you for sharing such an unbelievable tour! The residence is outstanding.
@3:30 you get exclusive access to car shows ?? Yayyyy. ❤ Bob Mann LTD
Good Lord, who was the interior designer? So much “gold” and shine everywhere, you would think you’re in Versailles.
So this town house doesn’t have any indoor garage? Where the owner will park his/her Rolls Royce?
Elegant and beautiful. The house is ok too I suppose.
Belgravia , that is to say Eaton, is simply my favorite location in London... east London is gorgeous.
I don't mind period architecture matter of fact I love it. However, I'm not a fan of modern - its lack of detail is sold as uncluttered, right... how about just uncluttered between the ears.
But this is just over the top gaudy and conspicuous...
But again, is the counterbalance, the push towards modern has been so pervasive in london, going the opposite direction may have a benefit.
2:50 I guess 23 is the new 8 with that short skirt, but with the black leggings, it actually looks classy. No 30 year old plus could pull that off
Just a few tips for home showing:
Lavatory, never toilet.
Wash-hand basin in a bathroom, never a sink.
Communicating bathroom and never ensuite.
Sanctions sure have opened the market up in this neighborhood.
"I have never seen an ensuite bathroom quite like this before." The interior designer made bank on that monstrosity. Nightmare room.
Call me whatever but this interior is amazing! Added to the list of dream properties. ❤
2 bedrooms, 40 million 🙄
Fine example of money can't buy you taste! Who lives here, The Munsters?
It seems more a museum than a home. Personally I could never feel at home in a place like that.
Fullfilling a house of marble doesn't means good taste!! 👎🏻
I like it for thst reason tbh
Often I've gone to castles and felt like I'd love to live there, not changing any of the decor lol.
Past life vibes, maybe 🤣
Gave it another go and it makes me want to clean. Absolutely hate it but I love to clean so I would have some fun ripping appart every decoration, furniture etc. Put i on fire outside then get rid of this ugly profanity of marble.
Completely over the top. How can you be comfortable in that house?
40 million gets you a lot more with no neighbours here in Devon.
Why a 2 bed terrace costs that is crazy! It's essentially what it is.
as decorated in the 1980s by Arabian Gin Palace interiors Ltd.
i can live forever in this house
hole house need to be fix up again. + x amount of mill to fix it.
Its like 5 star hotel
Lovely property. I just LOVE It ❤️....of course I would change its decoration.....a little bit. The property is amazing ! Perfect location !!!! 🇬🇧 #Belgravia
not everyone's cup of tea for sure! I would hive to gut it and start again so I will give this one a miss. LOL
Dear The Luxury Home Show!
I really like your videos!
But please for the love of god, can you guys use less of the slow mo effect, specially when the presenter on the screen. Its often looks stupid then awesome .
what are he chances of the previous owners being over 60 yrs old ? :)))
Keith Richards lives in a house in London that looks similar to that.
I,d have to gut it and start again
I’m I the only one that likes the interior?
40m? it looks more like a 10 to 15 millions dollar house
There was a developer called Davy Price who was EVERYWHERE on social media and then completely disappeared overnight.
Does anyone know what became of him? I feel viewers of this kinda channel would know!
A great tour, but I can't decide whether some of the room's interior design is "Regal" or just plain tacky!
Sometimes less is more 😄
Incredible interior design. Amazing house!
Absolutely hideous interior, it's like Lawrence Lewellyn Bowen on a bad acid trip!
Oligarch or gypsy ... take your pick.
Wide angle camera makes me sick
Frozen….in another time…Great for a movie set.
Amy did a tremendous job even making this two bedroom £40 million house look incredible value for money 😅
i don't think they have enough shoes!
