How can someone now profit from this strategy since you are only compensating your lose from your gain and vice versa when it reverses. The liquidity of a thing only extends your time of getting liquidated. So how exactly do we make profit. If its one way now, and the trade goes our direction as predicted, we make gain. But this two ways, the gain we are supposed to make is only used to compensate our loss. I dont know if am the one not understand your trick.

Hello, very interesting content, let's say i've go for long and short a the same time with 125x leverage on btc at binance, and the prices goes go too far away from each other, with a huge profit in short and a huge loss on long, how do i bring the long entry position price closer to where my short profit are right now? is there a way to do that? if i've buy mor long the average price goes down?
@@Bitroko ok, i understand, now if as soon as you bring your long negative price to "0" you could put a new short order(stop market) instead of a stop, like your stop now is another triggered short order..then your liquidation basically will disapear again if the price goes up ok you gain on long, if goes down it will catch your stop order. This could be a perfect strtegy, right? can you try that? i mean.. man i've think we just found a perfect way to trade, dificult but, perfect

only when you aren't sure which direction the price action is going, or you are already in a wining position with high leverage but market is kinda flipping and you don't want to close you position in fear of not getting a good entry.

I tried this and instead of me expecting coin to go long, it went short dip and I closed the short but price didn’t change for long and was still losing so bad.

If you enter with the same long and short prices, it will be canceled and the profit will be zero minus the fee.

There is nothing illegal here, it just how the hedge mode works. He hasn't shown any trick. Binance allow you to hold two opposite positions at the same time with hedge mode. And the long and short have almost equal sizes the liquidation price go high or so low that you cannot get liquidated. But if you have close at some point one position to take profit and close part of the losing one to balance the loss.

is it still reasonable to open a hedge mode when the price already so far away from your 1st open position ?
Yes, I tried this and it avoids reaching the liquidation price, So that in some cases if the 2 opposite positions too close to each others, it shows you this sign "-" instead of price. Which means there is no liquidation at all, as long as your trading pair does't have big movement.
But if these positions far from each others. The liquidation price will be very far from the big position which means this mode is more safe. In some cases.
If you demand in your trading to 3:1 strategy it could help you to safe your assets upto 40% from liquidity disaster.
