Whoa!! Happy to hear that! Thanks for the headsup! The only beef I have with my fh31 is needing to press flipper tab before it can fall to closed position. I find pressing the tab works better than pressing the blade like you do. Easier because you use the thumb thats already there :)
LTK thanks for the heads up on these budget friendly knives, I have just started back collecting after financial setbacks and I have purchased the 11, 21, and 31 all of them are great. Back in 2012 when during my first stint of knife collecting you couldn’t have bought knives with these features for less than 60 or 70 bucks.

I bought a bunch of Ganzos earlier this year but I didn't get the FH31. It didn't appeal to me. My favorites since 2021 have been the FB760, FH41 and FH91. I went to the shop one afternoon. I wanted to get another new knife but none really struck me and then I asked the saleslady for the FH31B-GR they had on display. She handed it to me and after handling it I decided to get it just to add to my collection. I didn't notice it immediately and it took a few days but I noticed I liked the ergonomics of the 31 the best and as time went on, I realized I began liking the styling more and more. Now, it's my favorite Ganzo model hands down. I tested the blade this morning (06/30/2023) on some cardboard. It slices like a dream. I'm thinking of getting the BK version.

These ones are definitely worth more to me. I had 3 ganzo's from a year or so ago and they are ok. These ones though are great. I just got the 21 and 13 and the actions are the best. I have not used them yet but a very satisfying 25 esh knife purchase.
3 years later and the fh31 is still an amazing knife for the price, one of Ganzo's best. Just got mine and it's great. Only issue with it is the angles are a little sharp, at least on the g10 scales
Great idea to do a shootout LTK. Have the 11, and the 21 is on order, but think I'm going to pass on the 31. Thinking seriously about getting the 12-SS though! It's a great little knife.
I would never buy a Ganzo knife until they started using D2 steel. I just bought a FH 31, great knife especially for the price. I am satisfied the D2 steel is legit after using it (hard) for about 2 weeks. Look out competition!

I love the direction that Ganzo is going in, to compete more with other Chinese manufacturers like Bestech, Real Steel, and Tuyaknife. I love the FH31!

This model is one of my favorite Ganzo knives. I got the green G10 first. And loved it so much I've purchased 2 more for gifts in the carbon fiber version. Great knife. Even on Amazon they only cost $26 and I get it the next day. Can't beat it.
I really hope they go back to the axis lock, not using it won't make the haters stop hating, they'll always make up a reason (now they're criticizing the choice of ball bearings, because these are "cheap work knives and you don't want bearings on those." wtf?!). Anyway a ganzo D2 axis lock model would be awesome.

Ya, the " filler plate " still takes a bit away from the aesthetics from the design.. It probably wouldn't look as bad if they matched it to the handle scale to stealth it...That stainless just draws my eye right to it....
It is so hard to make a choice between fh31 black G10 and fh31 carbon fiber,which i can purchase them at less than 1 dollar price range(20 vs 21 bucks).A little bit concern about the ergonomics because i have small hands.Of course,the style,the feel of the carbon fiber liner(perfer a smooth edge),and other things.
I have the FH51 which has a strong enough detent and small light blade so you can not "Gravity Flip" it which is what I have to have in NYS. I suspect you can not gravity flip the 12 or 31, both of which I would like to buy.. Can anyone tell me if this is the case for sure .. Thank You

I've noticed most dhgate/aliexpress/banggood/gearbest knives have a blade that has roughly the same amount of metal on both sides of the knife (if you draw an imaginary line from the pivot to the blade-tip).. Ganzo got the choils and almost wharncliffe right this time, but the cut line needs to be way further down.. The quest for finding a knife that I can grind into a poor mans Kershaw Tilt continues..
Ganzo has got to cater more to lefties. The only thing between me and the new fh models is the right hand only carry. I know righties hate the holes and plates but lefties hate not having knives they can actually carry. Just hoping and wishing.
I own two Ganzo knives and they are pretty much CRAP. 😁 The one that looks like a PM2 has wavy steel (NOT FLAT) blade. I sent them a picture of it...they sent me another one...LOL! Same wavy steel!!!! Maybe they have improved...but once burnt.......🔥🔥🔥
I used to have one of those Pm2 looking Ganzos and yes the grind on the blade was not good. After seeing LTK’s review on the FH11 and Baz’s review on the 21 I decided to order both. These are definitely a step up from the Ganzo’s of a few years back as far as the fit and finish, (even the edge grind and blade geometry’s seem good on my two). And at 25 bucks it might be worth checking out.
well its going to be a big deal to me... i just recieved my fh31b-cf 2 days ago. the one i have is caged copper or brass with steel barings. i would think that they are all the same unless an announcement is made for either an upgrade or downgrade. looks like they downgraded! at least the ones from amazon are! and i gotta tell ya, the more time i put in to this knife hobby the more im begginning to see how there is absolutely nothing great about budget knives. sop much for ganzo being a solid knife co. the pivot in my sencut sachse gets lose after a few flicks to open! yeah thats what a budget is, nothing but a cheap replica that will end up failing! dont know why im putting so much into this rant!!

I have the FH 11 and the 21. Of the 2, the 11 has the best action and easier detent to overcome and close.

LTK- This one caught my eye, but I dislike late detent balls. I'll get one of the other models. I like filler tabs. Makes for a more finished look.
Have you seen the FH51 model? Power Cutlery said they expect them to arrive in late March, 2019.

Do these newer ganzos compare to the Civivi knives in terms of symetry, edge thickness refinement and such?
nihontoman I think the Civivi Knives are more refined in a certain way. I think symmetry is good on both. Edge thickness ? I haven’t checked.

I just got one of these. Damaged out of the box on the backer plate and on the "carbon fiber" thank God they are cheap as hell

Bobby G I had it tested. I also had the FH21,FH41 & FH51 tested. It’s real D2.
