I Rain black complements white though. Her cape stands out so much because it is black. As do her lips and eyelashes. Scientifically, pupils are black because they are holes. We can see because light passes through the hole. Since whites pupils seem to be illuminated, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to say that she could be blind. It’s possible for her to have looked in Steven’s general direction, even if she was blind.
Ikr! White, as you said, is a big part of her palette. Also, black is meant to compliment her essence as an antagonist. But that wouldn't make sense, since she IS the MOST powerful diamond. Everything has to be PERFECT for her. What I'm saying is, it's really off for her character.
Roem Ichor firstly, the other diamonds have irises that match their pallet, not pupils. Secondly, you’ve made quite a few assumptions about white. If everything has to be perfect for white, why would she have a pearl with a cracked face? Why would she care so much to make her pupils white, but still have black all over her cape? If anything, having darker pupils would make her gaze more menacing. From afar you wouldn’t even be able to tell where she’s looking, because her whole eye is almost the same colour all over. Not only that, but blindness would give her more reason to lack empathy. If she can’t see the faces of suffering gems, she wouldn’t care as much. She didn’t even acknowledge Steven’s unusual appearance. Of course this is all just a theory, so for now it should be assumed that she can see, but it isn’t a weak theory in my opinion.

Actually the color doesn't really fit a Morganite that well. Morganites are usually a pale, peachy pink. The heart-shaped gem in the trailer is a more red-pink/fuschia color. That color fits better with red beryl (bixbite), or pezzottaite, another kind of beryl.

We've seen Crystal Gem Rose Quartz, who was later revealed to actually be Pink Diamond, and the bubbled Rose Quartz gems in the zoo, But we've never seen an active true Rose Quartz gem. So it would be interesting to see how they differ in abilities from the disguised Pink Diamond and other Quartzes like a Jasper an Agate or an Amethyst.

I think the new gem is Morganite, there's a real Morganite gemstone nicknamed the "pink sweet heart" and it is the largest Morganite in the world. Maybe a gem with such size and importance would require the pearl and ruby we now know as Rhodonite. Also note the vast amount of hearts in the teaser.
Pink was never said to be imperfect... Her attitude, likely, but otherwise she's perfect. Her cut is perfect. Her size is in perfect ratio: 1/3 of Y or B which are 1/3 of W. Besides, the colors are more like Yellow Cyan Magenta.
Pink diamonds in real are defective gems and the one in the show is really small like amethyst is, basically a runt, so yes, she's imperfect. Both B and Y are normal sized gems as White is basically her own thing too, the "too perfect" diamond. You can see this on quartz too, our Amethyst is defective, normal amethysts are ...normal? And Jasper is a super quartz, bigger than them.

It's unlikely to be a Rose Quartz because in the song Whats the use of feeling blue, we see all of the rose quartz gems(probably) are bubbled because everyone thought its a rose quartz who shattered PD so in order to stop this they bubbled them all.

The pink princess is the only morganite of that size and color, so wouldn’t that automatically make that gem an off color? I agree with the Harmony Core theory. I didn't get to read the comic but I heard it was cool based off of reviews and previews of the comic. It will be cool if the harmony core actually became a gem and then became evil because of the abuse of it's power it went through and the cracks that were given on the core from the Topaz's mistake of hurting them.
If Red Diamond had a Pearl, it would be red. The Pearl has to match her Diamond so it gives out the signal that she belongs to Red Diamond, so i'm certain she wouldn't have a PINK pearl. I'm still hoping for (but thnk it unlikely) that the Steven Universe movie will be about the orginal war - from the perspective of the Diamonds. Basically a long flashback sequence where the diamonds describe their side of the war. Most likely it'll just be a tv movie - like a 45 minutes long episode.
I came up with this theory, maybe Blue Diamond was full of sadness then made another gem to replace pink diamond's fake death, then when pink diamond came back the new gem that Blue Diamond created tries to kill the real pink diamond. ~Thats my theory anyway.
This is what I think about the white diamond theory. I do think white diamond is blind, but white diamonds pearl used too be pink diamonds pearl. The pearl that we know and love used too be white diamond, she doesn't have a pink tint. I disagree with white pearl's eye, I think she was abused and can't regrow her eye. It wouldn't fit with the Order of the Diamonds since Sapphires already see the future. Some people believe that White knew everything and that's why it was all a game. It just wouldn't make sense. Why would the gem be Red Diamond? Pink Diamond's are rarest and most valuable and we've seen 0 foreshadowing of a red diamond. We have however seen lots about Morganite - that are often cut IRL into heart shapes. We also know that the film doesn't impact the Crystal Gems directly, we saw in podcasts and comics that the film features the Topaz fusion we know. The Onion is just a joke come on. I agree about White being blind could be possible. White's Pearl = Heart gem?? We've seen both of their gems and that's just - moronic. It's very obvious this pearl was originally Pink Pearl, and we see it has been concretely foreshadowed that our Pearl was originally White's Pearl. Furthermore, saying we never saw any rose quartz is incorrect; Sure, we never saw the physical form of one, but in "That Will Be All" many can be seen, mostly during the song "What's The Use Of Feeling Blue?" (which they even mentioned in this very video, too).
a theory that i heard, which i like, is that the new villian is the one that created the diamonds. She is part of that group or Era 1 that created the diamonds and put them on homeworld to govern. But it would also make sense if the villain was one of Pink's other pearls who is out for to do what Pink was meant to do.

I think White Pearl was Pink's, but after an incident where W.Pearl broke her eye, White Diamond gave Pink Diamond Pearl, our pearl, the one in the intro. This ties into the theory that Pearl used to be White's, but after White Pearl broke, she traded pearls with Pink. Also, after White gives up power over everyone, White Pearl turns Pink and says "What happened?". I thoroughly believe White/Pink Pearl is *not* evil.

It's unlikely to be a Rose Quartz because in the song Whats the use of feeling blue, we see all of the rose quartz gems(probably) are bubbled because everyone thought its a rose quartz who shattered PD so in order to stop this they bubbled them all.

I think the gem is going to be a red spinel or tourmaline, with a small possibility of ‘red diamond’ I don’t see why people keep saying morganite tho, morganite isn’t intense red it’s more of a rose blush tone. There’s also a SU comic where they’re trying to contain the “harmony core” and it’s a bright red heart shaped gem thing. Maybe it’s a gem stuck inside the heart similar to lapis in the mirror.

Leenie Nadeau I’ve seen that pic of that stone already but wouldn’t be weird to base a character off of one gemstone. The pink princess is the only morganite of that size and color, so wouldn’t that automatically make that gem an off color? Also there’s a different picture of the pink princess where is looks lighter pink vs this vibrant fuchsia shade. I’m not saying it’s no way cuz you never know with SU. I just hoping my theory’s right, going for 4/4 😊
I agree with the Harmony Core theory. I didn't get to read the comic but I heard it was cool based off of reviews and previews of the comic.
It will be cool if the harmony core actually became a gem and then became evil because of the abuse of it's power it went through and the cracks that were given on the core from the Topaz's mistake of hurting them.

If Red Diamond had a Pearl, it would be red. The Pearl has to match her Diamond so it gives out the signal that she belongs to Red Diamond, so i'm certain she wouldn't have a PINK pearl. Maybe that Pink Pearl that is fused into Rhodonite was owned by a different high ranked gem.

I think the gem could be morganite
I'm still hoping for (but thnk it unlikely) that the Steven Universe movie will be about the orginal war - from the perspective of the Diamonds. Basically a long flashback sequence where the diamonds describe their side of the war. Most likely it'll just be a tv movie - like a 45 minutes long episode.

This is what I think about the white diamond theory. I do think white diamond is blind, but white diamonds pearl used too be pink diamonds pearl. The pearl that we know and love used too be white diamond, she doesn't have a pink tint. I disagree with white pearl's eye, I think she was abused and can't regrow her eye. And this is why everyone is afraid of white diamond's pearl, because she may have control over her pearl like a puppet.

Some of the theories presented here aren't very well thought out. Really badly so.
Who actually believes that White sees the future? It wouldn't fit with the Order of the Diamonds since Sapphires already see the future. Some people believe that White knew everything and that's why it was all a game. It just wouldn't make sense.
Why would the gem be Red Diamond? Pink Diamond's are rarest and most valuable and we've seen 0 foreshadowing of a red diamond. We have however seen lots about Morganite - that are often cut IRL into heart shapes. We also know that the film doesn't impact the Crystal Gems directly, we saw in podcasts and comics that the film features the Topaz fusion we know.

a theory that i heard, which i like, is that the new villian is the one that created the diamonds. She is part of that group or Era 1 that created the diamonds and put them on homeworld to govern. But it would also make sense if the villain was one of Pink's other pearls who is out for to do what Pink was meant to do.

I think White Pearl was Pink's, but after an incident where W.Pearl broke her eye, White Diamond gave Pink Diamond Pearl, our pearl, the one in the intro. This ties into the theory that Pearl used to be White's, but after White Pearl broke, she traded pearls with Pink.
Also, after White gives up power over everyone, White Pearl turns Pink and says "What happened?". I thoroughly believe White/Pink Pearl is *not* evil.
