I used to have a Ducati 900ss. It was my favorite bike of all time in hindsite. Listening to the audio of yours gives me flashbacks. Enjoy it's quirks, part of the charm.
I love your videos because they show me the English countryside ... I just discovered them a few days ago. I'll probably never get to see England but this is a great way to see it. Aces!!!
Welcome to Ducati. The sound alone is worth the price of admission. I've had hardcore Harley guys in the states give me the thumbs up when they hear my 1098.
Never test ride a Ducati. You'll leave the dealership with a Ducati. That's how my Diavel happened. Even my wife was like, "Buy it." We went there looking at the 848 Evo for HER. Made more sense for her to just stick with our 1098. The riding position, brutal acceleration, and exhaust note of the Diavel was just like, "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF ME." Test rode it twice because I couldn't believe it the first time. Enjoy your 899! It'll be tits in the twisties come summer. I did an overnight Dallas to Toledo trip in a thunderstorm on the 1098 the second weekend I had it.
7 years late on this, but this is very much true haha. I test rode a Streetfighter V4 2 weeks ago, and I'm riding a Panigale V2 today. I wanted the Streetfighter so bad after leaving. That ride home was incredibly sad haha
4:40 when I brought my Ducati home couple years ago a neighbour (who I hadn't even seen before) popped his head out of the balcony and yelled "I recognised that sound when you rode in, I love Ducati, I'm from Italy". It surely attracts attention whenever I ride through the town, too. I's a Ducati thing.
Callum Bateman Did I do what you suggested on this video? Do you know the definition of the word 'every'? Thanks for mentioning that I own the HP4 and Panigale R for me. Much appreciated, Sir Douche.
SpeedDemon Z You pride yourself by trolling me and making an ass of yourself by mentioning nonsense. Don't you have a Pict of your bike in your profile Pict? Your jealousy has reached epic form.
+650ib I'm like yourself I have multiple bikes and have posted pics of them on Facebook for my friends and family to see and share with me. And no matter how you position it the jealous haters always come out the woodwork! I say keep it coming with the pics and vids because if you really appreciate motorcycles then you can enjoy them. And also well done to you for being able to afford them as I know about the hard work and grind required to get yourself into a position to afford those things!
Well done on buying a true aficionado's bike. One you have had a Duke you will never look back. Oh, by the way, you never tire of the admiring looks from strangers! Ride safe
Soon be time to put my Street Triple away for the winter. Come the spring, I'll be changing up to a sports bike. I can see an 899 being between my legs by March!
good on ya mr baron , its a nice feeling when you leave the shop on a spanker, I did it the yr they bought out the new Honda cbr600rr , hated it after month traded in for a brand new k4 gixer loved that bike had it 3 yrs,,, wish u all the fun on ya new machine and all the reviews think its a better road bike than its big brother ride safe shane
Enjoy your new toy Baron! My mic never picks up the true sound of my twin either! Oh and my Thruxton track day is the end of the month! Getting anxious!
I had V-twin once but it was a Virago 750. Been rocking 4 bangers ever since. Wouldn't mind dabbling with a Speed Triple, or possibly a V-MAX!? Nice sound on your New Duc!
Haha 😂 watching this made me laugh so much. This is the very reason why I’ve owned Ducati’s for the last 20 years. I resonate with all that excitement 💦
Congrats on the new bike Baron, I have the exact same one in red too. Still running mine in but they do sound amazing with the Termis on. Hope you have many more happy miles on it.
Hadn't seen this vid. Just wanted to say that I also ended up buying the 899 because of your review. Problem was that over here (Spain) dealers don't let you test the bike... So any who, thanks and great job Baron.
Congratulations man, I'm sure you will but make sure you keep us up to date with your thoughts on how it's all going. This is like my dream bike (only on a 250 at the moment) and love hearing/watching your interaction with the beauty!
Congratulations! An amazing machine! Regarding the scraping against the screen issue - I believe that Panigale can be fitted with what Ducati call - oversized windscreen. Perhaps that could solve the problem.
Welcome to my world Baroni. I prefer the harder run in but within reason. It is hard keeping her under 7-8K though. Mate, awesome Bike. Look after her. Hope you are as happy as me. Cos I am ecstatic!!
the thing is with that for instance Kawasaki dyno there bikes as soon as they come off the production line taking to near red line not sure if triumph do that but I wouldn't worry soo much about it but shows u care I suppose ahaha
lukethekanefan Hey Luke. Makes perfect sense to me mate!! Modern engines are no way near as Delicate as 'OLD' engines. And I know for a fact that the Triumph Mechanic ragged the Arse off my bike once he's tightened all the Nuts, Bolts etc and I don't mind at all :-) Yea, I could probably run her to 12K but I don't because it's not the done thing...Yet... I will be there soon though :-)
Jeez, the things you get people to donate to you now that you're "F'mous" (get the Alan Partridge link there?) A Jucarty! ;-) There's something about Italian machinery. They have a certain character where a lot of Jap bikes simply don't. Just been and hugged my Tuono and told it it'll be out playing with me veeery soon but yes, gets VERY hot in traffic, asbestos nads needed. The Diavel is now sold but that was also great fun to ride. Take it easy geezer. :-)
It's true everybody were checking you out!!! Specially those three women standing by the sidewalk. Lol!!!! Congratulations she's a beauty!!!!! You deserve Mr.Baron ;)
Nice bike mate. Love it! First Ducati that I actually really like and feel more comfortable on it. Red is the best choice. Rubber side down! After I'm getting a house next year....I'm getting this puppy. Love it!!!! I'm an R6 fan..but after this came out....seams the perfect choice. Beautiful, great sound and more comfortable then the R6.
God man how I love that ducati sound. I just road the 1200s to do a bike review with the local dealer and honestly I almost wanted to sell everything along with my soul just to get that amazing engine sound and power. Hope to see a bunch of vlogs on this one :) enjoy the bike.
Congrats with your new bike! I got a fazer as my first bike, then when I got my non-restricted license after 2 years immediately got myself a monster 696. Puts a smile om my face even when I think about it now :D
:))) I like your attitude hahaha and the bike of course! It has to be RED! Ferrari and Ducati:)) gotta love them! After seeing this...I went to Beverly Hills Ducati..in LA here.....and the 899 is SO comfortable! I could not believe it! I'm a die hard Yamaha R6 fan...but this new 899 it may just be my cup of tea. Panty dropper! Love it
Great real life review's, looks and sounds great, I need one badly ! You take your life in your hands driving around London, get a good open road review up, look forward to seeing it. Enjoy.
Looks and sound gorgeous mate! Also good to hear you deciding to just use it rather than keep it as a fair weather bike (or whatever). Enjoy :)
I used to have a Ducati 900ss. It was my favorite bike of all time in hindsite. Listening to the audio of yours gives me flashbacks. Enjoy it's quirks, part of the charm.
The mark of a true rider... Takes a maternity leave upon the arrival of the new bike... Happy riding, Baron...
I love your videos because they show me the English countryside ... I just discovered them a few days ago. I'll probably never get to see England but this is a great way to see it. Aces!!!
Running in is like a lap dance, you want so much more, but have to resist lol
Congratulations! Many, many miles of enjoyment and new videos with the panigale!
Welcome to Ducati. The sound alone is worth the price of admission. I've had hardcore Harley guys in the states give me the thumbs up when they hear my 1098.
Congrats on new bike!

Congratulations Baron! Welcome to the familia.

Congrats Baron. I have a similar experience when on the 675r... giggling half the time riding it.. and grinning the other half.
Your test ride video sold me this bike. I will own it once I am off my learner license.
congrats BVG! What a lovely looking and sounding bike!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Italian twins. Very nice bike, I'm tempted myself, I may have to chop the R1 in.
what a lovely sound in that tunnel.
Congratulations on purchasing the 899 Panigale and welcome to the Ducati family!
As a note of warning. This man goes onto every Panigale or S1000RR video he can find and makes sure everyone knows he owns both :D
Callum Bateman Did I do what you suggested on this video? Do you know the definition of the word 'every'? Thanks for mentioning that I own the HP4 and Panigale R for me. Much appreciated, Sir Douche.

Sir Baron, You are an Alton legend :) BP at the end of Tower Street (my road) needs a plaque to commemorate your visit
Damn congrats Baron! Beautiful piece of machinery!
You lucky lucky bastard. Hope you two have an amazing time. Very jealous.
Aah, good old Edgware! Only just clocked that bit at the very end... was thinking, this all looks rather familiar!
A week off work, picking up a new Panigale; can't think of anything better. Well done!
Congrats on this magnificent bike. Have fun (and I'm sure you will).
Test rode one at the same dealer! Funnily enough he mentioned you buying one and I didnt believe him. Cant wait to get mine.
I live two minutes away from that Shell station you filled up at, at the end. I wish I could have seen you and that stunning bike.
Nice Baron I want the white one with red wheels. Although I must admit i wish they atleast made the 899 Pani available int he tri-color though.
Great buy! Ducatis have a tendency to make you feel very special while riding them. Guarantee to stop traffic all the time :).
Really enjoyed this Baron, Congrats on the buy!
Beautiful... I am picking up my first "big" bike tomorrow since passing my test, it the Monster 620, quite excited! :-)
Sweeter than sweet bike .. Wishing you the very best of blessings on her ..
Congrats on the new bike :) she's a real beaut!
Knew you'd get one ever since your review, could tell you we're hooked :)
Well done on buying a true aficionado's bike. One you have had a Duke you will never look back. Oh, by the way, you never tire of the admiring looks from strangers! Ride safe
what a twat driving off after crashing into an old lady! love the bike mate :)
Green with envy!!! You jammy b'stard Baron,,,,,,,,,,,lovely bike
Soon be time to put my Street Triple away for the winter. Come the spring, I'll be changing up to a sports bike. I can see an 899 being between my legs by March!
Finally a video that does Ducati's exhaust justice! Most audio of Ducatis on youtube make the bike's exhaust sound like shit.
good on ya mr baron , its a nice feeling when you leave the shop on a spanker, I did it the yr they bought out the new Honda cbr600rr , hated it after month traded in for a brand new k4 gixer loved that bike had it 3 yrs,,, wish u all the fun on ya new machine and all the reviews think its a better road bike than its big brother ride safe shane

Absolutely stunning bike!!
Nice purchase - just bought my first Ducati last week - Multistrada. Termi's need to be done :)
I had V-twin once but it was a Virago 750. Been rocking 4 bangers ever since. Wouldn't mind dabbling with a Speed Triple, or possibly a V-MAX!? Nice sound on your New Duc!
Nice little new toy you bought for yourself. Enjoy!!!

Congratulations on the new bike and good luck with it.

It is the Ferrari of the bikes!! Enjoy it & ride safe ;)
I sincerely enjoyed watching this little vid. :)

Congrats on the new bike Baron!
Baron you are outrageous!
Great review. None of that technical jargon. Just a guy who loves his bike.
Congratulations on becoming a Ducatisti! My new Hypermotard comes home on Thursday!
Nice bike mate. You have to love that Ducati grunt!
Congrats Baron what a stunning bike!
I had a feeling you weren't going to go for the S1000R, but more down to the wind factor. Enjoy the new ride.
Baron, Please do a video showing all the bikes you currently own. Great video btw and what an awesome bike!
After that test ride you did, I knew you were going to get one. It is a beauty, enjoy it.
gotta love the V4 sound! :) I have a small 2 small V4's a VFR 400 NC30, a RVF 400 NC35 :) everyone tells me they love the whine and sound :)
Congrats Baron! Someday I'll be able to afford something like that... someday...
"Uhhh, I got it back inside..."
Yup, hahaha
Congratulations! An amazing machine! Regarding the scraping against the screen issue - I believe that Panigale can be fitted with what Ducati call - oversized windscreen. Perhaps that could solve the problem.

Good man Barron, enjoy the new beast, you have earnt it

Ah mate she's a beauty! So happy for ya. I'm sure it will bring some great memories, ride safe!
I was really trying to decide between this one and the big one. You convinced me.
God man how I love that ducati sound. I just road the 1200s to do a bike review with the local dealer and honestly I almost wanted to sell everything along with my soul just to get that amazing engine sound and power. Hope to see a bunch of vlogs on this one :) enjoy the bike.
As you drive out the dealership I see the Waitrose I work in, never realised you were this local. Snells Alton!
Bloody Braaap fest..respect! can hear that beast just fine. Congrats mate, stunning.
The sound is just... Orgasmic.
All other bikes have been cast aside I now want a Panigale lol

Very nice bike. I'm thorn between this 899, white, used 2014 with termis and 1K miles and a new BMW S1000R ... same price both ... what do you think?
Fair play Baron. I watched you test this bike and thought you were smitten!
thats a real nice bike, best of luck with it what a nice sound….hmmmm i may have to visit the Ducati Dealer...
Great real life review's, looks and sounds great, I need one badly !
You take your life in your hands driving around London, get a good open road review up, look forward to seeing it. Enjoy.
