I usually pray Mage when i first get into the room as he's almost guaranteed to use a Mage attack as you run up to him. Then switch to Melee. Good guide man!

I know I'm late here but, I just wanted to say I've watched other guides avoiding longer ones just cause I'm lazy but I watched this one just now and the other times I tried killing skotizo were a mess I used a ton of sharks and even one time I had to dip because other guides said get towers as they come up, but you said to only worry about 2 so I did.. only used 6 sharks no stam pots it was a damn miracle so thank you for posting this sorry that this was long anyone interested in my stats it's, 75 att, 75 str, 70 def, 60 prayer, 71 mage, I used super combat, I wore, helm of nez, amulet of fury, obsidian cape, arc light, d def, bandos d hide, karils plateskirt, dragon boots, combat bracelet, and warriors ring.

@@AsukaYenOSRS good point, but its not like your inventory is being stretched in this fight. I hardly use 5 sharks in a whole fight, finding a slot for the potion isnt hard for this guy.

Blowpipe with Addy darts or better. As a quick tip that I learned way after this guide: Attack skotizo until all 4 pillars spawn. Start with one pillar and get it down to about 5% HP, then do this for the next 2 pillars. On the 4th pillar, kill it completely, then rotate around and kill all of the pillars that are 5% or less. They will not respawn if done correctly.
i'm baffled right now. came back after a long ass break - 1st time killing skatizo. Maxed stats but went in with what you're wearing and I COULD NOT hit above a 5 for 5 minutes straight. Ended up teleporting out... can't figure out why I was always hitting 0s.
You have to destroy the alters when they appear. They raise his defence making him practically impossible to kill. They are located on every wall (N,E,S,W) choose to stand between two and destroy them when they pop, make sure to pray mage when u run from skatz though or he will mage smash you then when u go back to him switch back to meele.

If you're really concerned about dying, e.g. due to a DC, you may want to invest in ornament kits. They make the paired item untradable, which makes it always protected on PvM death. Better to spend 150k on an ornament kit which can be removed and resold later than to lose a 300k pair of dragon boots.
First 3 kills were suuuper smooth, used only 1 shark per kill, and that silverlight just dropping massive damage. Then suddenly on kill 4 he kept using magic attacks even close range, and got hit continually for 25ish, used almost full inventory of sharks. So I guess you can have a large disperity between kills...

Great guide, thank you. One correction though, Darklight is used on the Dark Alter inside the Catacombs of Kourend with Ancient Shards in inventory to turn it into an Arclight. Using the Ancient Shards on Darklight itself does nothing.
Can you range this boss at all? Can’t use arklight but could I pray mage and do the first half with a pipe then come in close with a whip and pray melee? Great guide btw

80att, 75 pray, I had 5hp at the end and 0 sharks left, have destroyed every eye which popped out. Bring a Stamina potion with you!

You can use the 4 portals in each corner of the room and they will tele you outside the altar

Also, you can use the walk-under method (like you do at Bandos) to trade 1 for 1 on attacks with Skotizo.

hey, this is incorrect. you use 3 shards on the darklight.

It's treated as a normal death. Untradables are kept any time the death isn't considered a PvP death. You'll lose anything the falls to the ground.
