I've had problems with my pc too, it was because of a task manager thing called "sys info cap" it used up 88% of my disk. idk if its the same problem with kwil but that was my problem

When freezing and lagging do a clean on the temporary files, check for updates, updates the drivers, install bloxtrap, clean your pc from any dust and check the temperature of your components to see if its overheating or not.
Obs:The voice of your friend lagged so seems to be not the game i think
