    Thank you for this video! I went full kemper with the remote, and while I'm super happy with it, I spent so many years with my pedals I really knew them inside and out and knew how to get sounds out of them the Kemper just can't. I've been debating making a board like this with the PBC.
    Great rig, great tones, and I appreciate you taking the time to do this!

    The best worship tones that I've heard from a Pedalboard into a Kemper. That's inspiring Gregory. Thanks !
    I own a Mastermind PBC too, and can't wait to try my pedalboard into a Kemper...

      Thanks a lot Nathan. I love your tone and your chops, not to mention the work you guys do over there at tone junky.

    This is my exact routing setup also. the kemper controller is not that useful. i was looking at the new G3 gigrig switcher. nice review. perfect.

    You don’t need pedals with the kemper lol kemper has everything you need!! I JUST upgraded mine! Reverbs,delays are killer!

      I run Kemper both ways. Many times I run Kemper only but the beauty of Kemper is that you can still be a pedal guy.

      @@gregoree197878 do you think external pedals actually give you a better tone and feel? Or is it just an enjoyment thing being able to use them? I'm very curious.

    • @gregoree197878
      @gregoree197878  4 года назад

      Derek Anderson I do not think they give you better tone pr feel per say. There are just specific pedals that have a certain character that people might like. It’s impossible for modelers to create a model of every kind of pedal out there.

    is that a volume or expression pedal you're running? are you running it in the front of Kemper or through the effects loop?

    • @gregoree197878
      @gregoree197878  3 года назад

      It is a volume pedal. I am running the drives before the volume and the volume in front of the kemper. I am running the delay reverb in the kemper effects loop.

    Tone sounds great! 👍🏼, what distortion are you emulating on the Kemper, or is it the kot

    Hi! Nice video! I am currently setting up my pedalboard using musicomlab V looper that has similar capabilities than the mastermind... the only thing I am struggling on is the use of pedals in front of the kemper... I have tried to make a comparison between overdrives in front and in a dist loop and I feel that in they are more organic without top end fizziness that I can hear if I put the pedals in front on the kemper... the input signal is not clipping since the input light is always green... do you setup the clean and dist sens in a certain way to adapt the kemper to the overdrives in front of it?
    I am struggling because if I run overdrives in the dist loop I won’t be able to use my delays and mods after the amp stack since kemper has only a single fx loop (this is to me the only thing that has to be improved in this thing that is amazing to me...)
    Thank you
    Sebastiano

    How are you running stereo out of the big sky to the kemper??

    • @gregoree197878
      @gregoree197878  3 года назад

      the kemper will let you run a stereo effects loop. I think there are videos on youtube about it.

    I love the tones you are getting! I recently added the PBC to my rig and have a similar setup to yours except I'm using a Flint for washy reverb instead of El Capitan for additional delay. On the PBC, my dry signal goes out 5-6 to front of amp and wet FX go out A&B stereo in through FX loop on amp and then stereo out of FX loop (using insert cable) to In 7-10. For certain sounds (i.e. auto swell on Big Sky, I don't want to hear the dry signal) but but I run 7 - 10 in parallel and enable trails. Are you running Loops 7 - 10 in parallel with kill dry enabled on big sky and timeline? Do you setup foot switches on PBC to change strymon loops to series when you want to kill the dry signal through wet effects within the PBC mixer? Also, is your Benson profile on Kemper from Tone Junkie?

    • @gregoree197878
      @gregoree197878  6 лет назад +1

      I actually put my timeline and bigsky after the pbc. I put the El Cap in loop 8 set to parallel. That way I get trails on the El Cap when I switch from swells.
      I also put the Timeline and bigsky after because I want the El Cap to go into them.
      And yes I use tone junkies Benson profile.

    Hey there, i noticed a disaster area foot switch on the side, are you happy with it? Im looking for a effects switcher mainly for my efx loop and i was entertaining the Voodoo Lab PX-8 but it does color the sound a bit. I wanted to know what you think about Disaster Area switches in terms of tone, functionality and reliability. Thanks

    • @gregoree197878
      @gregoree197878  6 лет назад

      I absolutely love the disaster area stuff. They are built like a tank and don't color my tone at all. Some models do offer a buffer that able to be turned on or off.
      As far as functionality, they are simple to use once you learn the basics of how they are designed to work.
      I use the pbc a lot now because it lets me program it to do whatever I want but there disaster area comes preprogrammed to work a specific way which is nice for certain applications.

    Hi Greg,
    I have a Kemper & PBC. What channel do i assign the MIDI CH A. & MIDI CH. B to? That way the PBC can communicate with the Kemper.

    • @gregoree197878
      @gregoree197878  6 лет назад +1

      I set my Kemper to change 4 then I built a device on the pbc set to Kemper in channel 4.
      I then made a buttom page that has all my midi devices on it that let's me scroll through presets on my midi devices. Once I'm happy with the presents I hit save and it will remember the current preesets for each midi device.

      Mostly Tone junkys profiles. I like their hc30, Benson, peaty 100, AC Silver bell, and empire.
      I also use Brian Carl's stuff too.

    This is just awesome!! I just subscribed to your channel and I'd love it if you did the same and let me know what you think of the demos and tutorials I've put up with my own pedalboard rig!
