0:42 damn that's some shit pitch correction. I've listened to it on the full track and it's there also but barely noticeable. It sounds too bad to be an error, must be the sound they were going for.
@@mbalc909 You may be right. It's not as noticeable on record so guess they got away with it. I've heard him sing live and on other albums andd there's no way he needs that much pitch correction lol. He could 100% sing that harmony, or get close enough to only need a pinch of PC. Sure they ALL use PC a bit (Litterally EVERY band uses it to some degree) but that line should really have been punched in during post, unless like you say they messed it up during recording and Daron wasn't available during mixing to redo that part. Maybe his harmony didn't sit well in the final mix? I mean they did record, what? 20+ tracks for the double album. They released them only about 6 months apart so all tracks were likely recorded simultaneously. And Daron took on alot more complex harmonisation on this release. The amount of overdubs on tracks like Radio/Video and Dreaming must have been alot of work for him, and we all know he's responsible for like 90% of the words and music. Hence why they've not gone back to studio, cause Daron is writing for his other projects.
@@Jamie_Wilson some songs have their separated tracks transfered from games like Guitar Hero, some of them (and I think this in particular) have been processed trough software like Audacity etc. So "deleting" some frequencies from the song causing Serj vocals and some instruments disappear but it also affects Darons voice and because of those missing frequencies in his voice he sounds so shitty. So theres no deal with autotune I believe
