Some commemorative notes and coins maybe, but replacing all of the currency would be expensive and futile.
It generally takes 10 years or more to exchange old notes and coins in circulation for a new one.
By which time King Charles will be in his mid 80's (near death).
Upon which time, the new king will be William V. And we start all over?
we change our currency designs all the time, plus the costs have very likely already been factored in.
I don't think they will replace the currency any faster than they usually do.
Ive already added a few of every coin with her face on them, some with portraits from all the way back to 1971
I am Guatemalan-American and I have coins that have Queen Elizabeth's face on them.
The fact that you mentioned youre Guatemalan American was really important,
You might probably got it from Belize (the one's bordering Guatemala), Belize is a Commonwealth Realm, basically had their own PM, cabinet, parliament, parties, democracy and civil liberties everywhere but with the British monarch as head of state (represented by a native governor-general).
people who got fake notes gonna panic big time 😆
Dont need to change the notes , already enuff charlie on them

A New 💷 Note !! 😎
1:05 Why is there a picture of her as a child in the furthest left image? She didn't become Queen until she was 26, and she wouldn't have been on bank notes before then!
They were Canadian dollars in the 30s :)
Here's straight from the Canadian government website.
In 1935, she was just one among a half-dozen of King George V’s family members to appear on the Bank’s first series of notes.
This portrait of the young Elizabeth has sometimes been called the “Shirley Temple” owing to the similarity of her curly hair to that of the famous child film star. The engraving is by Edwin Gunn of the American Bank Note Company. The original photograph was taken by Marcus Adams, London’s leading children’s photographer of the day. Adams would also photograph the young Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
Long before Queen Elizabeth acceded to the throne, a $20 banknote featuring her portrait as an eight-year-old was issued in Canada. Princess Elizabeth, the granddaughter of King George V, was a part of the inaugural banknote series issued in 1935. The bank note’s engraving was based on a candid photograph taken by the royal photographer Marcus Adams.
Sad part is no one gets a penny of it until Charlie gets spend his money 😂😂
I am going to find the banknotes as soon as i can (third comment)
The expression on King Charles III's face is so miserable that it makes him look ugly.
Think about all the people that have 20s and 50s obtained illegally. They're about to watch it all psychological evaporate because they can't trade it for the new bills.
Can we vote on which picture will be on the money?
Such strong family resemblances, everywhere in this family.
"Such strong family resemblances, everywhere in this family."
Well yeah, inbreeding tends to do that. 🙂 Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip were cousins.
no any new portrait of king charles will have to be approved by him
@@curlywurly70 can’t all Europeans trace their blood back to Charlemagne?
That's not really how a monarchy works.
❤
They will make money because people won't spend money with her picture on it ! Keep on make people who don't work rich for history sake!
Diana fans all be like : where is my creditcard?? NOOOOO
Japan's banknotes have Abe Shinzo on them
It's Shinzo Abe in English.
On April 9, 2019, Finance Minister Tarō Asō announced new designs for the ¥1000, ¥5000, and ¥10,000 notes, for use beginning on July 3, 2024. The ¥1000 bill will feature Kitasato Shibasaburō and _The Great Wave off Kanagawa,_ the ¥5000 bill will feature Tsuda Umeko and wisteria flowers, and the ¥10,000 bill will feature Shibusawa Eiichi and Tokyo Station. Shinzo Abe is not on any banknote.
and they will have to do it again in 4-6 years...
I like how it shows initially "specimen", I think that should be updated to say "poser" , in reality: that's all he'll ever be.
People will be buying Charlie with Charlie.
Obviously
Nah I’m outta here there you go…
Why not just leave it alone? The USA doesn’t charge or money like that.. we have the same faces on our money forever
