It is such a"hoot" getting to watch Jack learning as he goes. Your patience and kindness as a father is reflected in Jack's behavior ... Roloff too.
I think your idea of providing a number of different experiences on your outing is genius. Jack won't have a chance to become bored. He seems so eager about things ... as you always say "good job!".

I can't get over how many fishing related videos you have recorded. A veritable treasure trove of father and son exploring the great outdoors series! Anything worthy of mention while you were in France?

Wow! Super quality fish!! I'd love to be able to spend the entire summer up there. Can't stand the long, cold, dark winters. Winter is bad enough in Wisconsin. Great video. Makes me think of all my time on Dinorwic.

dankirkjuggler Yeah…the winters here are ridiculous! But with a snowblower, 1200cc snow machine and a love of ice fishing and a wife that lets me fish as often as possible its bearable.

vishuscirquel I hear ya. If I had a snow machine and could ice fish more it wouldn't be too bad.

Fishing Lac Seul was the best time of my life. I was a young teenager when my grandpa took me up there and stayed at the Silver Water Wheel Lodge. My biggest was a 29" walleye, he caught a 31" walleye and a 43" pike. I'm from Illinois and after fishing that lake, fishing anywhere else just isn't the same. I'd love to go back but the prices to stay there are outrageous! Are there camp sites there? Can you use the lake on a regular basis? Great video, awesome son, and good looking pup.

Jake DeGraaf Hey Jake, great to hear your experience, I feel the same way. It is difficult to compare Lac Seul to anything else, it is a special place, spoiled for sure. You did good with a 31" and 29"! I am not sure about the campsites, and I know it is not allowed for non residents to camp it rough. Perhaps try asking that question on the walleye forum www.walleyecentral.com, somebody should know. I agree it is expensive. I get to fish that lake every week if I want to, but usually fish it 1 or 2 times a month through the summer. Only fished it a couple of times on the ice but would like to change that this year. Thanks for watching and commenting.
