+Khairul Anam Nah, that's my least favourite part. The whole mysterious tone from 0 to 0:34 and 1:01 to 1:08 is pure orgasm. I could easily do without that "rock" part. It reminds me a lot of the Pink Panther theme and since she's a private investigator, that part represents her the best.
I love how this music perfectly fits Jessica's character; like her, it starts off all shady and sassy, but then right out of nowhere, the music gets serious and really starts hitting you and showing you what it can really do, but still retains that sassy attitude and before you know it, the music is over and has left it's mark, and it scurries off confidently back to the shadows.
One of the best opening credits ever. The theme and vibrant colors set up the tone perfectly. Then the rock aspect gives the more energetic modern feel. Absolute brilliance.

Just because the Defenders were anti-registration in the Marvel Comics Universe doesn't mean they would be in the Cinematic Universe. There's an argument to be made that Jessica would be in favour of registration after the massive fallout of Kilgrave showing her the damage that gifted individuals can cause if not kept in check.
Jessica Jones > Daredevil > Luke Cage. When Jessica jones was coming out, I truly wasn't interested in it, even after enjoying Daredevil. But this series blew me the fuck away. Soooooo good. Edge of your seat.
Yeah, it's turned me into a fan of her and I have to be honest, I didn't know who the heck she was before it. I only knew about Luke Cage moderately from Marvel Ultimate Alliance and the biggest exposure I had to Daredevil was the somewhat bland Ben Affleck film.

From detective to full hard rock and back to detective. I used to watch it back in 2018 when I took Netflix's subscription fir the very first time. One 8f the few series whose intro I never skip..
This is my favorite Marvel show theme. I imagine the first part is Jessica's day to day life, the unexciting private detective work spent spying on adulterous spouses from fire escapes and whatnot... then, as the music picks up, she's been drawn into something dark and serious, with life and death stakes. The return to a playful tone at the very end is a reminder that she's not intentionally a superhero, probably didn't want any of what she's gotten involved in, and won't stop being her flawed, snarky self when all is said and done.
Nope, DD season 3 actually. After not hearing the DD intro for so long, I decided not to skip it for the first episode, then I remembered I loved the JJ intro so much that I had never ever skipped it, not even while binge-watching the show. So here I am, feeding an addiction I thought I forgot about. Hope JJ gets a season 3 as well.

I think both fit beautifully. The noir theme fits because she's a private detective, but the use of unconventional instruments fits the idea that it's not in a "film noir" time/ setting, and she has superpowers. It's literally an unconventional detective theme for an unconventional detective.
