लातेहार जिला का मनिका विधानसभा क्षेत्र एसटी आरक्षित सीट है. वर्तामान समय में कांग्रेस के विधायक रामचंद्र सिंह यंहा से विधायक है. रामचंद्र सिंह मनिका विधानसभा सीट पर मजबूद पकड़ रखते है. बता दें कि पिछले बार के विधानसभा चुनाव में गठबंधन की ओर से रामचंद्र सिंह अकेले चुनावी मैदान में थे. लेकिन इस बार समीकरण पूरी तरह से बदलने की संभावना है. क्योंकि पिछली बार भाजपा प्रत्याशी के तौर पर चुनाव हारने के बाद रघुपाल सिहं ने राजद का दामन थाम लिया है. ऐसे में प्रबल संभावना है कि रघुपाल सिंह राजद की टिकट पर मनिका विधानसभा से अपनी दावेदारी कर सकते है. वहीं कांग्रेस जिला अध्यक्ष मुनेश्वर उरांव भी टिकट की रेस में है. मुनेश्वर उरांव मनिका विधानसभा से दो बार चुनाव लड़ चुके है. दोनों बार वे महज कुछ वोटों के अंतर से चुनाव हारे थे.
