Awesome!! Love the look and layout of your van! Absolute game changer with the huge lithium setup, just works so well 👍🏻 looking forward to seeing the weekly episodes.
Hey Kathleen! Patrols are 3.5 tonne so you can’t tow 4 tonne unfortunately! You are basically looking at your American rigs to be able to do 4 tonne and above legally! Thanks for watching!
Great walkthrough. We pick up our brand new second hand 2011 19'6 Trooper this weekend and looking forward to hitting the road again. Does the battery vent take in any dust off road?
Awesome guys congrats! We dont get any dust through the vent no, I think having a dust reduction system on your van will help with this also. Thanks for watching and safe travels!
We have the Kingjack antenna on our 18.6 Zone RV van and the first time we tried to tune the tv it wouldn't work. Been ok ever since. A lot of people hate them, but you re-tune the tv every time you move and it works. Lotus do make a nice van. What's your tare weight? Assuming the ATM is 3500kg's... Wouldn't mind another 200Ah Btec, (if you can find stock) to take ours to 600Ah..... Y62 FTW......
Yeah it didn’t bother us much if we didn’t get much reception to be honest, would much rather the extra solar panel! We covered the weights in the video mate. Yeah you gotta love a big battery bank! Safe travels mate!
Been watching all your videos with anything van related as we're starting to look into getting a Lotus. We're looking at a freelander but keen to know the weight difference between standard coil suspension and upgrading to these airbags, if you know please? That'd be a game changer for us but need to keep weight down as currently only have a Ford Ranger.
Oh beauty thanks guys and how exciting! From my understanding it actually saves weight. Give the guys at Freestyle RV a call in Melbourne or Lawrence RV zone QLD and just double check. I couldnt recommend it enough! Thanks for watching mate!
@Travelling Campers that's what I was hoping to hear, so fingers crossed 😄 We're in Adelaide so planned on just doing a roadie to Melbourne to have a look in the flesh. Thanks very much. Merry Christmas!!

Love your van! We have an Off Grid and are considering moving to a Trooper and this video has given us so much info :-) How do the outlets in the tunnel boot charge when you are driving? Do you have another inverter just for those ones?
Thanks guys! Awesome! I hope the off grid has been treating you guys well! It’s all off the same inverter, just simply have the inverter on when travelling if you need, sometimes we will charge the vacuum as we drive and can charge a battery or two as well! Thanks for watching guys!
Great van and the battery setup is tops. We have a new Freelander so enjoying watching your walk around. We just carry two jerry's of water in the back to take a bit of weight off the front and good for a small top up. Thanks

If you don’t mind me asking, can you tell me how much setup and monthly charges are please. Seems like the way to go if you are going to be remote camping a lot. @@Travellingcampers Please don't adjust the way you speak, i ride a 22 KTM 300, I don't have time to sit and listen to slow dribble. When you speak it's quality and you mean business. I feel my time has been well spent watching you. I have been following you guys from almost the start. You are as genuine today as you were back then. You're a lovely couple and down to earth. We pick up our Titanium 21.6 Hardcore ATX next week, will also run the moto on the draw bar and my sons 65SX on the rear. I'll have to look up your mate who custom made your bike carrier. Cheers
@@moto4x4adventure9 Thanks mate appreciate that! You can never please anyone haha we are no where near professionals! Looks like an amazing set up mate! Tub built industries is who you want for the bike carrier mate!
You need to slow down your talking a little. Nice van 👌
Just being me mate! Thanks for watching
👍👍👍🇦🇺caravan
Cheers Bruce! 🍻
Dude you do NOT need 900amp/h of battery to travel Australia off grid. There is no one in the entire country needing this.
Mate for someone that lives full time in a caravan, it has absolutely changed EVERYTHING to the way we live and the comforts, it is absolutely not over kill at all. Not for everyone no! This is just our setup the way we want it for what we do and just sharing it mate. All of our friends with 600 amps thag live on the road wish they had more. Happy travels mate!
Nice van. Try to stop saying absolutely every 3 seconds josh. It would be great to Michaela in front of the camera.
Thanks mate! If it’s not umm it’s so, if it’s not so it’s absolutely lol sorry mate hard to not make any little mistakes when talking for 10 minutes straight, we aren’t perfect! If you watch our weekly episodes you will see more Mikayla mate. Thanks for watching!
@@Travellingcampers all good. Just some feed back so you guys can grow.
@@waynelloyd9360 appreciate it mate 🙌🏻
Weapon.
Thanks for watching guys!
Did I hear right? Did mikayla say “very affordable”. Since when is $165,000 affordable…..you have both gone from being humble and down to earth to arrogant and spoilt.
How the hell are we arrogant and spoilt? What she meant was comparing it to the price of a house, we have most things a house does and living in the van is much more affordable option for so many people these days. Very unfortunate you think that of us.

@@Travellingcampers Please ignore the noise. You guys have not changed a bit. You are as humble and down to earth today as you were from the start. I enjoy watching you and will continue watching you, both of you. You are a quality well run channel that should see large growth this year. I'm happy to like and comment on every one of your vids to help you grow. You bloody legends!
@@moto4x4adventure9 Thanks for that mate! Don't worry it doesn't get to us mate its only a small amount, and always comes from jealously haha its all apart of it! Thanks mate we will always stay real as we don't rely on RUclips to do what we do, its all just fun for us and enjoy sharing our travels and inspiring others to get out there and get into it! Cheers mate!
I’d love a dollar for every time you say “again” turns me off sorry.
If it’s not umm, it’s so, if it’s not so it’s again.. sorry mate no professional! Not as easy as it looks filming for 10 minutes straight unedited. Have a great weekend mate safe travels!
Fair enough it’s feedback that may help in the future. I’ve done some filming and it’s never easy. Good on you for replying as most would skip over a comment like that.
