  • In this video, I explain how to Deploy Printers to users on the field, and it is assumed that employees in an organization use the printer for different purposes. Unless employees have a printer installed locally on their system, they will use one of the shared printers in the organization's Active Directory (AD) network. And I explained creating a policy to Deploy printers for users, groups, and computers. You can also Deploy the printer for a specific user or group. Also in the video is an explanation of how to Install the printer service server role to a server machine. Deploy the following steps and share them with users is very simple, and you as an administrator can do the steps without complications. Watch the video well, and I am waiting for any inquiries in the comments.

hi, why you dont edit the printer GPO? i mean in order to add security group or something? otherwise everybody could print in that printer.

    Hi,
Does this work post PrintNightmare with type 3 drivers?
Does this method prompt users for an Admin account to install?
    Many thanks

It works, but the trick is to have the drivers pre-installed on the client PCs. You can deploy a login script via GPO to push out the drivers, then the printers will deploy via this method without an admin needed.

Under Print Management for 'Drivers', for some reason the column where it says: "Packaged" says false. What does this mean?

Sorry, I did not understand your question. Do you mean you have two domain controller? . Why not install a print server on all of them. will work successfully.

@@DOITMOSTAFAAHMED "Antol" will have to install 2 domain controllers at least anyway, in case of replacements. The 2nd dc always is an exact copy of the 1st one.

yeah but is we can't install printer in server we have USB printer install client pc so how is deploy with GPO ? ....

    • @jawosammadennhier7062

A USB printer can only be connected with a single computer. Only a printer with an integrated TCP/IP network card can be used in a TCP/IP network. But then it is connected with a print server or router. (You cannot connect a USB printer with a TCP/IP router technically, so you have to make a decision beforehand: either..., or... .)

If you are connecting a printer to PC via USB, it will not work. It has to be connected to the network. Printers that are connected to the PC via USB are dedicated for 1 PC only.
