This is such a fantastic album, quickly became a favorite of mine honestly
Glad you like it!
Love this album! A lot of great stuff coming out of Denver, CO!!!
I do think this is a great record. It takes a while to be understood, give it other shots. I found a lot of '90 Swedish Death Metal influences in it.
I don't have the luxury of listening to the albums for weeks as I have so many albums waiting for all the time. Nor that I have the interest to the albums for dozens of times. But I'm glad you liked it.
Its crushing. Members of Blood Incantation/Vermin Womb/Khemmis.
Glad you like it!
Haha! Great analogy used here. Mentioning veterans of the scene, your accurate and honest review will probably lend to bruised egos, and some, crying foul. But. They're members of so and so. So what...
Thank you! Yeah, some artists can be sensitive while they really should not.
Funny thing, the first thing I thought about this band was "how come nobody else used this name?" as well. These guys and Death Breath! This is one of my favourite albums of last year because of how heavy and evil it sounds, but it also sounds very chaotic, paranoid and unique and the vocals help a lot for this. I understand why you don't like them. I guess you don't like the vocals on Macabre, or the high screams of Destruction and Absu. This album personally reminds me a lot the early black and death era and bands like Sarcofago, early Sodom, early Kreator, Hellhammer, Morbid etc.
It's always very context dependent which kind of vocals I like. I don't mind them at all with Absu, for instance. But then again I don't like King Diamond vox. Destruction is OK in my books as well. And never had a problem with Macabre vocals either.
It's a rare thing for me when vox ruin a band for me. Or I shouldn't say "ruin", when I essentially mean "can't enjoy the vocalist" - I am talking about Gun's'Roses here, too.
My favorite album that came out this year so far. Similar bands with vocals like Eli's on this album?
Glad you liked it!
I'd suggest giving Body Void a listen if you haven't already. Some sick vocal work on their albums! Crushing!
Their demo is cool but I will check out their debut
Lmao
Laughing does good to you!
I tried to like this album but vocals have put me off.
