- Eric Vernon at Memphis's The Bar-B-Q Shop is a second generation Pitmaster. He was nice enough to give us a tour of the restaurant, shares it's history and introduces us to his legendary dad, Frank Vernon. Eric and Robby talk dry, wet, and glaze ribs and eat the #1 ribs in America (maybe the world). They top it of with the Original Texas Toast BBQ Sandwich, Smoked Bologna Steaks and Bar-B-Q Spaghetti.

I'm proud to say I've eaten here. Absolutely the best ribs I've ever had in my life. Wonderful atmosphere, exceptional service, I can't wait to visit Memphis again just to eat these ribs again.
It has a nice down to earth atmosphere . Love the bar too. Easy parking behind the building area. Has a great local vibe
Covid has hit them hard, so you might not have as quick of service as you used to. But please come eat here if you come back. Food is just as good and this is a national gem. Needs to stay around. Best bbq is Memphis.
Going to Memphis soon and will be sure to check this place out. Excellent interview with both guys demonstrating very good people skills.

My dad used to get Baloney rolls from a local place here ( its no longer in business now). cut it thick as a hamburger and fry it. It made the best samiches !!
The best spicy BBQ sauce hands down!

Memphis has some great bbq places! I’ve yet to try this place but I’ll go next time I go and when I do, I will give an update! Most likely I’ll devour that Spaghetti!

Ate here last night. This bbq spot is the real deal. I only been in memphis for a few months but this and Elwood's shack are to die for. Took two sauces home, so yummy!
