Tray Taylor, author of "Haunted Illinois," introduces viewers to haunted sites in Alton, Illinois including the Alton Prison site and the Mineral Springs hotel.
**NO JOKE** ... I worked in Alton Il reading utility meters from 2002-2005. One morning at 6am I started in the parking lot containing the Prison Wall. I pulled in and seen a man standing by the south side of the wall. I wondered to myself that it was odd seeing a person hanging out that early “sight seeing”?! I hop out of my vehicle and grabbed my equipment out of the rear of the vehicle. I look up and walk south towards the man and wall... HE WAS COMPLETELY GONE.
Lives here all 25 years of my life. There’s definitely something here this place is to haunted. Oh god how many people from Alton have had to go to a million wedding receptions at mineral springs mall
I was born in Alton, still have a lot of family in Alton. I was born in St Joseph's hospital, now St Clair's. My grandma was the switch board operator for many years.
I explored Alton, Il. I had contact with the Jasmine lady at the Mineral Springs Hotel and The Revern at the Unitarian Church and via use of the Spirit Box, we also received clear demonic voices in the Church. Alton, Il is very active with Spirits. The only bad thing about Troy’s haunts they do not allow video recordings, but yet when I had my encounters the ghost tour lady used her own phone to record my encounter’s for herself or for Troy that was not right and came off shady, so save your own money and explore on your own. Troy does not allow recordings, so people can go on his tours. Go on your own.
