My wedding is coming up in a couple months and when I first met my fiancé I had waves but over the last two years I grew out my hair and had some 2 strand twist braids in for the past couple months and she’s been begging me to get my waves back for the wedding I didn’t want to at first but i then decided to cut my hair off a couple weeks ago and decided to go waves been struggling since I lost my good brushes and had to buy some new ones but they don’t do me justice bought some brushes online and they been doing well but for some reason the back part of my head towards my neck never sets properly which is annoying watches a bunch of vids tried different brushes tried wearing double or even triple rags/caps that sort of worked but still messed up. Also struggling with keeping my waves straight

After my hair drys in durag I take off the rag and it looks good. Then I start brushing with soft brush and waves go away. Why ???
