A really helpful video, thanks; although there's no need to show each stage quite as briefly as you do. However, I must mention to you that the loud music is terribly irritating, especially when one is trying to concentrate.
I am quite disappointed that in the Installation Preperations section, after informing us about using a protective cloth for tools and safety glasses, that you failed to mention that we should double check that our shoes are tied for safety. Tripping over loose shoelaces, especially while simultaneously chewing bubble gum, is a reason 89.7% of injuries and deaths occur while installing island hoods.
It's a recirculation hood and filtered through carbon filters. Most hoods have an extraction or recirculation function. If you want it ducted out, this video doesn't show it obviously
When I did mine I used a stud/floor joist on one side and then slid a decent length 2x4 piece into the ceiling where there was no stud and attached to that.

That will have some great airflow. Congrats
Those plugs in the ceiling - what a joke. You're going to be wearing that chimney...
Easily done when you can move the island out of the way while installing the hood 🤨

they should tell you when to breathe in/out during the installation or you might die...

Is this a joke? They don't connect the exhaust pipe.🤔
Those plastic inserts don’t seem like enough to hold the hood up. Is that all you need?
NO! Obviously no carpenters involved in the script for this video!

Incomplete installation. Exhaust Pipe not connected
