Sincerely pleased to hear that Status basses are still being made. It was a real punch in the gut to hear they'd closed shop a couple of years back.

I wish they would still make the Streamline though.

As a modulus owner, I have to say that I just love the sound of graphite for basses. Such a clean and interesting bass tone to me. I equally love the sound of this status.

Rob built me a Series 3 Paramatrix 4 string in 2021 and the sound is outstanding, absolutely love it ❤️Nice review Alexander 👍🏼

Just seen a band using the black headless one and i have to say it sounded fantastic. Extremely punchy and you could hear ever note and pop in the mix

Thank you so much for this video! I've had three S2 Classic 5 Strings Headless Bass Guitars, I'm working towards getting the S23.
Rob just released the Electro new model.

I didn't think I'd like it, but actually I might prefer it to the carbon one.

They look so cool. I also like the string spacing too. I find musicman/p bass spacing too close.

Hi thanks for the demo. I was waiting for someone to do the S23. I have wanted one all my life since I was 13 and I'm 50 now lol, but they are few and far between in Canada. I had a musicman with a graphite neck and loved it but it was unforgiving and loud. So now I use fender jazz basses. I have decided to get one before Rob retires. Someone in Canada was thinking of him during his sickness. I'm so glad he won the battle. He is an artist more than a Luther. Anyway my question. Being a jazz bass player would you recommend the soap bar pickups or single coil. It's hard to tell the difference when you hear it over a computer. I'm not gonna get the paramatrix. I watched some mark king videos using both single coil and soap bar but I can't tell. Which is more versatile.

Thanks for you comments. I think the best course of action would be to email Rob and see what options he would suggest - mail@status-graphite.com

Oh one more question. Do you know if he would be willing to take a fret out? And make it 32" scale. I'm not concerned with the "bendwell". I just prefer 32" Thanks

Again, the best thing to do is get in touch with Rob - he no longer works with carbon graphite, so can tell you if that's still possible.

I love how they look, but loath how they sound - too bright, no guts to the tone.
