- The boulevard is KCs oldest continually operating theater. It was updated with DTS digital sound in 1999. It is the only DI in the area that still includes a playground for the kids. It has endured almost yearly flooding but remains open for business. Long live the Boulevard!
It's great to see that the Drive in theater day's are still alive. We lost our drive in theater here in San Antonio due to vandals. Thanks for posting.
The Boulevard has updated to a 4k digital projection system. The picture is great!
You're fortunate to have such a drive-in. Let's hope it keeps getting good business in this economy.
WOW That brought back so many memories, and the movies, The Blob, Billy Jack, and who can forget Carrie! a lot of Great times and a few Bad Times! Thank you so much driveinights, and i cant remember the owner/security guards name, i think he was both owner and security wasnt he?
@Lockemeister Glad you enjoyed the video. I love the Drive in theater. We are fortunate to still have three remaining in the KC area. Not sure about the guy in the Night and Day short. He does look familiar.
Holy smokes!!! This is a VERY nice Drive-in !!! The one my wife and I go is no where near as beautiful as this one! Ours maybe shutting down though.... Thanks for sharing! :)
This particular drive 🚗 is still going strong...
Really neat movie. I got the sense of community watching this. the kids get to play before the movie which is great. They can burn off energy and meet their friends. The swap ands shop is a great idea. A great neon sign to the drive in too There's one in Blue ridge , GA but not a great as this one.. I got a question. The Disney Short, I think called "Night and Day". Was that liitle guy in the short an old advertising cartoon guy. I think I remember him from Bromo Seltzer or something like that.
@Mickeym1a2n3 Glad you liked the video. I saw a lot of great movies at the drive in while growing up. The owners name is Wes Neal.
Yeah, they still do intermissions.
Apparently people like the I-70 Drive-in more since its got more views
Bring a boombox. Save your car battery.
@RQVOutdoorMoovies Thanks!
@videomix22 Thanks for the comment. And sorry to hear about your DI.
Its about 12 miles west, as the crow flies, probably a little farther on the highway. Are you from the area?
do they still do intermissions?
Yes
How far is it from the I-70 Drive-in?
