I wanted to make a Delena video that finally showcased Damon as the hero. Alot of my videos always stress Damon's faults and how Elena loves him inspite of them, but I think it's time to acknowledge that he's become her savior in so many ways. She's been depending on him so much this season and he's always there for her. I think this song is perfect to show this side of Damon and how he's has definitely become Elena's hero.

it makes me think of Damon saying to Elena that he is not a hero, that this is stefan's job to be the good guy ...but this video shows that Damon was always there for Elena when she needed him and he always protected her. so for me Damon is the real hero here because a real hero doesn't try to be one.

That is so true but in the begging of the vampire diaries Damon was the bad guy and stefen was the good guy but when Damon met Elena everything changed his whole world changed he fell in love w her and no matter how hard he tried he could not help no falling in love w her it didn't matter BC the more they work together they fell in love w one another so yeah Laurie b ur absolutely right about that he tried so hard no to care he tried so hard to be the bad guy but when he met Elena that all changed he ended up caring for her he ended up being the good guy then stefen ended up being the bad guy and Damon had to protect Elena from stefen so yeah Elena changed Damon's whole live even if Damon didn't want to admit that he became a good guy and started to care he did not want any one to know that
That's SO true. I always feel a bit angry about Stefan xD...I mean he does nearly nothing to safe and protect Elena (In my opinion) but always is the good boy for everyone.
And Damon (who does really EVERYTHING to protect Elena) is the asshole. Especially for Caroline Stefan is the hero...And for Bonnie...And for Jeremy...This makes me angry

Stefan was a protector and didn't want her to do anything but play safe. Damon was there when she needed someone to catch her when she falls. In a way they needed each other more then they thought. She just help made Damon and Stefan bond better.

Ok I'm going to be honest. At first I cried when Elena was falling for Damon and left Stefan, but as time went on I saw how right they were for each other. Stefan belongs with Caroline anyway. Also some people may not be able to see it, but she changed something in him and made him a better person and in the process he made her a better version of herself. She is stronger and more confident then ever. Plus she is happy and that's all We want Elena to be. Im sorry. I'm a Delena and Stefoline shipper.

Stefan was never the one to carry Elena to safety.. or the one to stand in the way of a dagger for her.. even when Elena didn't love Damon, Damon STILL risked everything for her with no expectations of getting anything back from her. He has pure love for her.

There are some guys that are like that out there. Damon met Elena first. I just don't understand how she could keep choosing Stefan when he was never there. If anything Damon was the one who was making all the decisions to save Elena. I really wish they was still together in real life cause they was a perfect couple. But when i first started watch vampire diaries i really thought it was going to be stupid but when Damon came in and realized what he was doing for Elena it was going to be a good show and it still is but it's kinda boring without Elena.

Damon was always the hero is my eyes he was always there even when he didn’t need to be he was there for Elena. She made him a better person and I didn’t realised that until now delena needed to happen for me to realise they were made for eachother He put up this front because he was hurt once he let Elena in everything fell into place they we’re definitely meant to be end game.
