I was just wondering about this the other day. Just to pick examples -
Firstly, there was the terrible history in Europe as a whole, during WWI and WWII. Some people lived through both of those wars. Who could endure fighting or suffering so much twice, within 20 years? The Spanish flu (influenza) pandemic as well, which swept the world and killed more after WWI than did the actual war.
How did people cope with their trauma?
Then among and after other crises, there were the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, when people were able to get access to media and beg for psychological therapists. I highly doubt if any were sent to help the victims, but those present saw the need for them, urgently.
I can't imagine just how bad it must be for Ukrainians (or Russians) who sacrifice their lifestyles, their bodies, minds and lives, and the bereaved and the loss of their future hopes. The loss of homes and basic services, kidnapped children, raped and tortured captives and the mass graves. Not to mention the medics. The lack of supplies, the dread of danger and death... it's dreadful.

Learn about what ukrainians did in 1943 on Volhynia, then say about what psychological wounds are.
