      this is the problem w/ academicians and their idealistic take on life .... the "world" as we know it has yet to fully divested itself of 'in-group think' or 'us' vs 'them' mentality. when it actually shed itself of such limited perspective and recognizes that we are one and of the 'One' in words and deed, we are no different from animals in the wild. but then check that, at least animals do not hoard/over kill or commit genocides within the same species. As an example teachings of Yeshua ben Yousef is about as ideal as they come but have we as a race become better in the last 2,000 years because it is followed in deeds and actual actions. The WWI and WWII was fought between so called Christian nation to tune of 80 million killed ... so then answer is niet! but why? because we cannot let go of the fear or illusion of 'lack' aka: not enough to go around ... also the mother of all illusion! Human wax nostalgic about certain ideal situations in thought but as long as we are preoccupied w/ body identity thoughts they are just fantasies. become one w/ the spirit instead or is it called enlightenment ... but the irony is enlightenment is exclusively a personal affair and cannot be achieved in mass!

    He tells no lies. At a family goodbye dinner at a restaurant one of my favorite uncles said “Pri, did you vote for Trump?”
    I have no personal unction to vote for Donald Trump but at the same time also found no fault in him that wasn't also present in others of a different party. So far, my desire to get people to see similarities has often led to being told I too am not Black enough. Far from it. Love being Black (though I had no say in it)! Black family, Black husband, Black children. I just don’t do imbalance, hypocrisy nor blind loyalty. I like this young man. @spot light I’m not even conservative and I don’t agree with all of his beliefs. But I think he brings up some really good points, uses facts, and had principled arguments. He doesn’t seem far right or far left, I feel like he is a man who thinks for himself and formulates his own opinions and intelligent hypotheses. I might not fully agree with everything he said, but I don’t see what can possibly be the problem with his well articulated insights. You might not agree with him, but he’s clearly pretty smart and has some thoughtful arguments. What is so bad about that?

    • @Islanmir
      @Islanmir 4 года назад +2

      @spot light Trying to keep the conversation about racism as been a very counter productive method of engaging reality. How about making a pause on all the hatred and bias and look at the facts and statistics?!" Maybe then you will see that personal choice and responsability is really a thing. If you want to ear this from someone that is from your community : Thomas Sowell
      Funny that when critical thinking comes to the table, all that systemic racism, gender pay gap and many other "issues" go right out of the window, they are simply not true. You and others like you are running on "perception" of what you think that is real, but reality IS NOT what you think it is.

    Somebody give me a roundtable! Then place Jordan Peterson, Douglas Murray, Ben Shapiro, John McWhoter, Stefan Molyneux, Christina Hoff Sommers, Karen Straughan, Cassie Jaye, Bettina Arndt, Hans Rosling, Steven Pinker, Jonathan Haidt, Sam Harris and Coleman Hughes around it. Let them talk and debate - perhaps even hack each others heads off - for 10 hours, and I have no doubt in my mind, that the world would be close to being fixed completely! So many great thinkers under the same roof is what the world truly needs now! Somebody please make it happen! The politicians, the ignorant protesters - and the mainstream media - has fucked up the West. Only "Knowledge" can repair it!

    • @notto8978
      @notto8978 4 года назад

      I don't know the others, but Peterson is saying obviously so much nonsense, especially about Marxism, he has obviously no idea what it is...
      Just look up, what Richard Wolff says about him - Peterson even refused to debate him - and then says, Marxist won't talk to him...

    • @McCallaFilms
      @McCallaFilms 4 года назад +4

      @@notto8978 I would have to strongly disagree with that. I've studied Marxism to a great length, and wrote a thesis about it, and I have not heard Peterson say anything untrue about Marxism. In fact, I've doublechecked most his most controversial statements (not just about Marxism, but also about questions of biology and psychology), and they all seem to be supported by a great deal of credible empirical evidence (lot's of peer reviews, references, citations and with a solid methodology). The only area where he becomes slightly muddy, is when he speaks of religion. Here - for obvious reasons perhaps - he takes some liberties. But when it comes to politics, he's usually spot-on. Can you provide me with an example of where he is wrong about marxism? Too often people are critizing Jordan, without giving concrete examples (...or without actually having heard what he said). That's why most critizism come in the shape of Ad-hominem attacks on his character (the left's favorite counter-argument strategy). I hardly hear any hardcore fact-oriented counter-argument against Jordan. The most obvious reason for this might be, that reality is on his side? But in postmodern societies, as we all know by now, there is no place for objective reality. Because that would mean that somethings are more true than others, and we can't have that....

    • @McCallaFilms
      @McCallaFilms 4 года назад +1

      @@notto8978 If you haven't heard about the others, then you probably should have a look at them. I get the sense it will do you some good. It's healthy - and educational - to stay clear of echo-chambers and filter-bubbles, and to listen to what people are talking about on the other side of the fence every once i a while ;)

    • @notto8978
      @notto8978 4 года назад

      @@McCallaFilms For example one time he says sth. like "OK, so let's get precise, what is my privilige, is it 10%, 15%?" I don't remember the exact words. In any case, he obviously seems to not understand what that means, 'cause if he would, he'd not ask such a stupid question since you can't describe privilige in numbers. Several centuries of oppression have a heavy influence on power structures, culture and the way we view black or white people. Impossible to put into numbers! He rather looks angry that someone suggests that his success is at least in part due to his whiteness and not only to intelligence and hard work.
      To Marxism - he seems to equate that with stalin, Mao or other dictators, which makes no sense. Marx said that the problem is that the working class does not own the means of production and so he is less paid than he actually generates in wealth. The difference gets to the owner of the means of the production. Thus a rising inequality.
      You can have a socialist society where for example most companies are owned by their employees, you have health insurance for everyone, free college (all paid by taxes) and you have a society freer than ever seen on this planet. Without a dictature. Without genocide.
      But instead Peterson just says "Stalin", "Mao", "Khmer rouge in Cambodia" instead of actually adressing valid arguments
      Thanks for your response btw
