This song was one of 5 beautiful songs in the 1956 movie "بنات اليوم" (Today's girls) and Halim was singing it to beautiful "Magda". The music is composed by another Egyptian giant "Abdel-Wahab". I was a young boy. I liked the music but did not understand the deep passion it conveys. Now after so many years, I hear it in my old age and my own eyes are tearing. It still touches my heart and fills me with many beautiful memories. The movie is available online you should see the passionate way Magda was looking at Halim

İşte buralarda her Türkü göremezsiniz.

Music And Nostalgia: I am a Pakistani Canadian. I must have heard countless Arabic and Egyptian songs in U.A.E. during the late 1970s and early 19080s but I could never forget the melancholy tune of this song. As soon as I got access to RUclips I started my desperate search for my favorite Arabic song but I didn't remember the lyrics so till today I could never find it. Heard this song in the series Ramy episode 3 and immediately found it after a few google and RUclips searches. The song in question was originally sung by Abdel Halim Hafez. Ahwak came around 1976 and Abdel Halim Hafez died in 1977 at the age of 47.

i'm only 18 and i grew up abroad, so abdel halim hafez's music is definitely not from my generation or direct surroundings, but it will forever hold a very special place in my heart- it takes me back to when i was even younger, when warm-toned, sunny summer days felt endless, innocence was a given, and my mom played his music among others' with the windows all wide open, letting the summer warmth and sounds, such as the chirping of cicadas, come through and fill the house. it also reminds me of ramadan, which used to be during that same season back then, and of how, after my dad and brother would leave to the mosque after iftar, my mom and i would clean up while playing all her old cds and then sit down and watch our favorite ramadan mosalsal. what beautiful times those were, i'm glad these beautifully worded, made and performed pieces were the soundtrack of most of those simple, yet nostalgic and memorable moments of my childhood ♡ also, my mom always told me all about how much my aunt cried when he passed back then, as if a family member had, and i truly understand why now; i understand that her tears were all words, as beautiful as his, that her heart couldn't express out loud. this is absolute gold, and gold will always shine and hold great value regardless of the time that goes by.
it is a wonderful performance, just awesome! IF i could able to listen this as a direct listener it would my best memory! he is the best of the best musicians.
I just finished watching "Cairo Time" . Great movie, As soon as I heard this song I knew it was Abdel Halim. God bless his soul . -- He was the BEST!!!!!!!!
Wonderfully evocative of a bygone era. To all those who were lucky enough to be present at concerts by Abdel Halim Hafez and Oum Kalsoum, cherish the memories, as such times will never be seen again., You were fortunate to be there, and we are fortunate to revisit this era courtesy of RUclips. Shukran.

He developed the tune in the middle of 1970s❤❤❤❤❤
I went to one of his last concert he did in Paris “au Palais Des Congres “ in 1974 ,sitting in front row with my Dad , never forgot, i was 5 years old at that time

İşte buralarda her Türkü göremezsiniz.

I love you

I love you
I love you and I wish I could forget you
And forget my soul with you
And if it gets lost then it remains yours if you ever forget me
And I forget you and you show me how to forget your cruelty
But I miss the suffering you inflict on me
And my tears remind me of you, and I go back to you
And when I see you, it’s like the whole world coming at me with you
And its desires are yours
And at that moment, all my deprivation disappears in your love

I love you and I wish I could forget you

And when I see you, it’s like the whole world coming at me with you
And its desires are yours
And at that moment, all my deprivation disappears in your love
And I find you thinking about me and me about you
And my eyes are into your eyes
And what they sare is all over you even though you try to deny it
And I take care of you, waking up in the night, to call out to you
And I send my soul to wake you up
Get up, you who I obsess about, try to go through the hell I’ve been through
And I find you thinking about me and me about you
And my eyes are into your eyes
And what they sare is all over you even though you try to deny it

Music And Nostalgia: I am a Pakistani Canadian. I must have heard countless Arabic and Egyptian songs in U.A.E. during the late 1970s and early 19080s but I could never forget the melancholy tune of this song. As soon as I got access to RUclips I started my desperate search for my favorite Arabic song but I didn't remember the lyrics so till today I could never find it. Heard this song in the series Ramy episode 3 and immediately found it after a few google and RUclips searches. The song in question was originally sung by Abdel Halim Hafez. Ahwak came around 1976 and Abdel Halim Hafez died in 1977 at the age of 47.

i'm only 18 and i grew up abroad, so abdel halim hafez's music is definitely not from my generation or direct surroundings, but it will forever hold a very special place in my heart- it takes me back to when i was even younger, when warm-toned, sunny summer days felt endless, innocence was a given, and my mom played his music among others' with the windows all wide open, letting the summer warmth and sounds, such as the chirping of cicadas, come through and fill the house. it also reminds me of ramadan, which used to be during that same season back then, and of how, after my dad and brother would leave to the mosque after iftar, my mom and i would clean up while playing all her old cds and then sit down and watch our favorite ramadan mosalsal. what beautiful times those were, i'm glad these beautifully worded, made and performed pieces were the soundtrack of most of those simple, yet nostalgic and memorable moments of my childhood ♡
also, my mom always told me all about how much my aunt cried when he passed back then, as if a family member had, and i truly understand why now; i understand that her tears were all words, as beautiful as his, that her heart couldn't express out loud.
this is absolute gold, and gold will always shine and hold great value regardless of the time that goes by.
