@@ClickDecision Templars spawn with 50 energy plus you can upgrade an extra 50 energy. You're talking about early game micro shenanigans. Once the game gets going or you're maxed out even, templar storm is a really strong asset, just like the vessels, except that storm can literally kill an entire army if done properly.

Its why spreading tanks is so important. Mastering that skill makes all protoss AoE much less effective and then you win on economy. Clumping units so a storm hits 4 tanks, thats like stacking units to let them get blown up by your own spider mines ...oh wait ...

75 energy isnt free artosis. But just a side note terran has this free ability called EMP its only 100 energy free but it takes away all the protosses free energy even if they are at 250 free energy. It also works against the protoss free psi shield.
Flash would have destroyed a number of Protoss structures and units equivalent to the free resources acrued from the use of high templars and arbiters in order to punish the Protoss.

If you are a bad player and lose the templar before it can return an investment then sure it's not free, but that rarely happens, in fact all u need to do is suicide that templar into a mineral line and it is free unless you have literal 1k mmr boomer hands.
