There’s at least 8 players on Essendons list that are VFL standard at best. I would hate to play in that side if a fight broke out. Not many have a bit of mongrel in them, that’s why sides beat up on them every year!

They don’t have the forwards. They’ve been winning inside 50s all year. They just can’t finish. We need a better full forward and some some small forwards.
imagine if they played how we know they can every week ... 2023 langford, prime stringer, early season gresham, caddy doing his part, wright playing well, even weideman .. but it seems only one plays well each week and the others dissapear

Wanganeen, Davey, Davey, need to go asap. None show any potential at all at senior level, waste of time because they were related to former Bombers. McKay doesn’t care enough, no desperation or fight, or just is a little slow up stairs, Laverde undersized for the role he always gets, Menzie can’t kick so it’s useless having a small forward that can’t create or capitalise on half chances, Caldwell playing like Sam Walsh, works hard and competes and finds it back skills man… the skills. Hurts to watch. Coaches need to work out what to do with Perkins, has ability but is a bit lost being thrown around, seems more dangerous as a permanent forward or get his running up to be a winger, strong core, good hands, penetrating kick. Trade Tsatas or Hobbs if we have no plans to use them, Tsatas to dominating as an inside mid and didn’t even get a game with Parish injured for weeks.
Goldstein can stay but never plays if Bryan and Draper are available, pay him a little to stick around an guide those two or be a backup. Roberts and Caddy stay in every game they’re available, give them experience and confidence. Hunter and Heppell gone too already, try target a high level forward, ship out 2m Peter if he’s not it. He isn’t competitive enough.

He hasn't any real quality whatsoever since his outstanding Round 1 performance against the Hawks. Also add Peter Wright who has basically more or less reverted back to what he largely was at Gold Coast ever since Langford took his spot as the number 1 option in the forward line.
Essendon are a 10-14 team at best , they had the easiest draw and only won those games at the start of the year because of there accuracy if not for that they would be sitting bottom 4
Listening to malthouee on the radio .. he was saying our backline is way too slow and our fowards are way too slow . He singled out gresham . Stringer for not working hard enough and our ball movement lacks dare .. when we actually move the balk quickly we can look good .. this is not a quick fix .. l thibk we can be a good team but the clubs culture sucks

Went last night (Swans fan) and I honestly couldn’t believe he wasn’t in the side over Weidman or Kelly. He’s 10x a better player then those two at least
We know what he did was bad but in terms of winning games for a club he's good, if he was a bad coach north would've gotten better not worse when he left
