the part with the camera shaking from the stink bug was hilarious. I am a larger fella also and my wife gives me he hardest time over my feet of bugs.:-)
Of course Jay we thank you for sacrificing and staying on the ground to bring us the Pillars Wonders :)!! Way to go Dee...you are adventurous and awesome
Gotta get all that stone column pillar footage, of course!! :P
ParoDeeJay 😀😀😀
Nxt time go see the salt flats with all the beautiful flamingos
Aha, I didn't know they had those in Progreso. Nice! We saw the salt flats in Bonaire and that was awesome!! :D
Way to Go Dee you rule
Loved this episode - very kind and respectful of you Jay to not directly film the funeral casket during the church visit ❤ Thanks to this episode, I'm looking to book with Yucatan Cenote this fall 😀
Such a fun day! Yes, once we realized that we had almost crashed a funeral, we obviously decided to be respectful. Yow!!
Congratulations to the daredevils who successfully ascended and descended that treacherous, hardscrabble cobblestone ski jump of a stairway! Kudos to Jay for his good judgement by remaining on terra firma! That's where I'd be!
With my big ol' feet and lack of balance sometimes... no way I was shimmying up that thing, ha ha... :P ~Jay
Brave Lady Dee! Climbing up those steep steps and all. Great video of your excursion!
Thanks so much! She was brave indeed but at least she made a new bat friend, ha ha... :P
WTG Dee climing that pyramid thingy...The views look amazing from up there. We have never went to Progresso and it looks very nice...like a calmer Cozumel. Thanks for sharing!
She was dang brave climbing up that thang! And coming back down looked twice as scary!! :O
The stairs are fine...until you have to climb down them! I loved Dee's photos and couldn't believe the close-up of the bat - cool! How fun to see all the parts of the ruins, including the columns! Nicely done!
Those columns were so fascinating, I just couldn't pry myself away from them... :P
Agree Jay, solid ground
Solid ground is my favorite! Haaaaah!! :D
It is interesting how all the Yucatan area archaeological sites are pretty similar in architecture, even the ones in Belize are similar. Great civilization that was. Great job guys!
They really are! This was pretty similar to Altun Ha in Belize. Always fascinating though!! :D
Wow. Cool excursion. I might climb that if there was s slide on the other side to come down 🤣. I would be seriously terrified to climb down. Bravo to the brave souls that did it. Love living vicariously thru you all.
Ooooh, a slide might have been fun. Why didn’t the Mayans think of that?! :P
Thanks Jay and Dee for another awesome video. I want to specifically thank Dee for saving me a trip up those stairs. Once she got to the top and showed the view I knew I will never go to the top in person. So thanks much for showing me what I would have missed. I even had a touch of vertigo, lol.
Thanks for coming along with us, even if only digitally, hah... glad to share our fun!! :D
That was awesome! No way would I have risked that climb! I'm a big chicken. 😬 Way to go Dee!! 💖
She climbed right up that bad boy... daaang!! :D
Thank you for your service Dee and Rob and Carl to climb that huge ruin hahaha great footage!
They some crazy fools, ha ha... :P
Very brave.... by eating those precut fruits 😳
Not gon' lie, I was a little worried, ha ha... :P
Who needs a gym membership when you have these stairs. Great vlog thanks for sharing. Sincerely Adventures of David and Aaron
#truth :D
Way to go Dee oh, I wouldn't climb those steps!! I love your ruin spins Jay. Rock on.
She shimmied right up that thang, ha ha... I think coming down was the hardest part... yikes!!
Thx for staying on the ground, Jay. Great pilar footage!❤️🚢
Bringing all that important pillar and column content!! :P
Wow! I really wish we would have did this Tour in Progresso! Congrats 🎉 Dee on Climbing up there!! We went to a different Mayan Ruins site when we did our All Inclusive in Cancun... We went to Chichen Itza! The Best Tour we have Ever Done!! Thanks for Sharing!! 😊
Oh nice! I remember Chichen Itza is the one I used to always hear about as a kid. Supposed to be a great site! That’s awesome!! :D
Yikes, those steps! Great job, Dee!
As someone that trips on nothing, there's no way I'd climb those ruins. Unless you want footage of me falling! Very pretty. Thanks!
As someone with very little coordination and balance from time to time, I was staying on that dang solid ground, ha ha... we were proud of the three tributes that volunteered to climb to the top though!! :P
I'm with Jay I just can't claim like Dee she very adventurous
14:48 Nice job Dee! Gotta climb it. When in Rome..
This made me nervous watching Dee climb that huge ruin. I wouldn't have done it and I have tiny feet! 😁
Hi Dee and Jay!!! Those were definitely real ruins!! Nice video!! Hugs!!
Yes, they said they were "restored" but definitely real. That's awesome!! :D
Those are some steep stairs! Good call in letting Dee climb them lol
Yeah really... she volunteered and ran right up those things... pssssshh!! :P
Cool ruins! No way would I climb up those steps. Way to go Dee!
Looks like climbing down was much more tramatic..lol
Yeah true, the journey down would freak me out a lot more! Yowza!! :D
13:59 Yea at the Pyramid of the Sun a little west near Mexico City the once sacrificed 80,000 people in 3 days.
Save the sea turtles Jay. Thanks for sharing.👍😊
#pahhhhh
Thank you for doing these vid.s
Thanks for tagging along, at least digitally!! :P
??????? Once again I'm following in your footsteps. My daughter and I are doing the excursion you did . Very excited.
? Do we just wear swimwear and cover up or is there a place to change so we can just wear normal clothes?
You have saved me time after time. Big thanks.
Great video, but I’m really surprised they allowed people to climb on the ruins. Over time, aren’t they just going to get worse? I would have thought they would want to keep them as intact as possible
You would think so! I'm sure a lot of portions have been restored, hopefully including those stairs, so maybe they're not original at least!! :P
Ya right Jay ! Big chicken. 🤣😂😭😭
6:38 I was going to mention this.. Yucatan is where the asteroid hit that killed the dinosaurs and 70% of animals and plant life on Earth. It was a great run for the dinosaurs who ruled Earth for 165million years. Us upright humans are working on about 2 million years..
Oh my goodness...I felt like I was up there with Dee. Scary 😰
She was dang brave shimmying up to the top of that thing, ha ha... :P
Is it possible that you can tell me what are the names of the excursion for carnival so I can book it on my next trip. Love you guys videos.
Our Progreso excursion was booked independently outside of Carnival, through a company called Yucatan Cenote. The exact one we did was called "Burrito Grande" hah...
@@parodeejay thank you so much. we are going to do the excursion.
Jay.. what camera are you using?
Same one we've had the past few years. I put our gear list in the description of every video for the curious, ha ha... our main cam is a Canon G7X Mark II. :P
That was awkward , Dancing Dee seen beating hasty retreat from Church , run Jay , switch of the camera , ☹️☹️ The pitch forks are out run
It was slightly awkward going from "hey, pretty church, ooh I hear singing" to "oh, that's a casket" and trying to respectfully beat feet back to the van!!
How much was the tour?
This was a private tour, which was $600 for the day. Split among 6 people, $100 each. But they have quite a few options that they can tailor to your individual needs.
ParoDeeJay Thanks so much for the reply/information. I really enjoy you guy’s vlogs.
What’s the name of the excursion. Would love to check it out
Carl booked it directly with a company called Yucatán Cenote, and that particular one was called “Burrito Grande”.
They should have skipped the church that day with a funeral going on and all🤦🏼♀️💀📸
I think our guide was as surprised as we were, but we tried to be respectful and turn right around once we realized what was going on!!
Ikr I hope ringing that church bell was a part of the funeral service and not just someone ringing it just because
"Cenotes" is that like 100 dollar bills
Gimme all those C-notes!! :D #MoMoneyLessProblems
Ugh dragon fruit, my bird eats dragon fruit.
