I love The Beatles, especially their early era since september 2019. A while ago I listened to "A Hard Day's Night" and now "Eight days a week". And it moved me so f-ing bad, that suddenly I started to breathe more heavily and my belly started to ache; you know, that kind of pain when you're nervous. I think it's just AMAZING how is this band so timeless to make a 15-year-old girl cry with emotion. Have a nice day if you read it
I was there, at Shea Stadium, in ‘65. My ticket costed 5$. As soon as I saw the poster, that the Beatles would be there, at Shea Stadium, I knew I had to go. I spent hours putting on the right clothes and dressing myself up for the occasion. I arrived two hours early, at 5 o’clock. It was a very warm evening, as I remember, and excitement was filling up. Guests arrived, pulling up with happy faces. Someone brought a banner saying “Help!”. I brought a snack at the bar right before. I also brought some water. I sat myself down, with my friend, who was extremely excited, too. Our seat was quite high, we got a good view, but was sad that we were so far away. Everyone was bouncing off the walls in excitement and happiness. I was so nervous. The second they arrived onstage, a burst of screams came out from the air. I thought I would have gone death. Couldn’t hear ONE THING. The screams were so loud. I remember joining in the screams when George took the vocals in “Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby”, (I think, couldn’t hear) and being so sad when Paul finished “I’m Down”. Marvellous night!

Nothing can quite top the 60's without mentioning The Beatles, they were such a masterpiece for their time. I would do anything to experience these historical moments.
Yeah, all those 14 year old girls are 64 now. But I bet you every one of them remembers seeing the Beatles. This was a hysteria that really swept the USA up into a frenzy. I was only 14 too, and the first thing I wanted to do was pick up a guitar and get the girls, too. So I did and I played in a band for about 10 years and we did a lot of Beatles songs. The crowds always loved it and danced their asses off. That was a magical time.
I loved the Beatles so much that i got jealous of Sally in Mad Men when Don got her the ticket to this concert. A fictional character who was my age when this concert happened!
Sometimes I stop at 1:48 and just appreciate the connection between John and Paul, I like to think about how much their voices match perfectly and I know it's silly but for me it's magical...
WOW. It looks like it was really warm, hot, sweating and everyone was overcome by the heat from the number of people, the lights and the sheer excitement----AND----no one had ever quite heard anything quite like The Beatles before.

Me too. Who would've thought the greatest band of all time would stop touring soon after this tour and that John would be no longer with us just 14 years after this concert.
John Lennon will go down in history as a "musical genius" for the 20th century. He could do it all, write and compose, and a great singer as well. Miss the guy.
Paul was and is a musical genius as a songwriter, superb vocalist, lyricist, bassist, multi- instumentalist, and just brilliant in every way imaginable. We are all so fortunate to have lived contemporaneously with his time on this Earth. He is a true musical genius and a world treasure! Lennon was equally brilliant but his talents were off center and complementary to Paul's. Equally brilliant of course With George and Ringo the genious cup runneth over. The power of such collective talent in the right place at the right time still brings a tear to the eye. Such a coalition of the stars will never be seen again ...
Watching this on TV was a treat for us as kids Remember...there were opening acts too. At 0:51 in this video, there's a girl in a blue striped blouse with black hair hanging on the fence. THAT is a memory that stuck with me all these years! I was 6 years old and for some reason, she stuck in my head all these years and seeing this today flooded it all back. Her reaction and me having no clue why.....but I knew it was something special yet I didn't understand it. Wow.... its part of what made the Beatles so special to me...that they could do that to a "girl"......Been chasing it ever since......never caught it, but had the time of my life doing it.
1:38 Nice shot of Brian Epstein, The Beatles manager and the one who believed in them and promoted them to stardom. His name gets often under the radar for many but I pay my respects for him. I wonder how he felt getting those 4 kids with no money and filling stadium a few years later.
Vindicated. He knew. He said right after they agreed to him as their manager that they'd be "bigger than Elvis." NO ONE else but him could have made what happened possible.
Carlos, one of the best comments I've seen yet on here! Absolutely true!! Lotza prople eschew him, put him down, because he was gay..He was a promotional genius!!
Elfi...Consider yourself lucky he's deciding to learn all these wonderful songs!! Hoping that he learns them correctly, like I did, when I learned guitar, and started working out their songs by ear/memory!
He will get a good, rounded musical education if he learns Beatle songs on the guitar. They are still the foundation, melodically & harmonically speaking, of pop music to this day.
Dudo que algo parecido a este fenómeno musical aparezca y lo supere...canciones del año 1963,64, 65 y pare de contar son aun escuchadas por millones de pèrsonas...asi jamas moriran... serán escudados por siempre...
The Beatles woke me to my life on 2/9/64. On 12/8/80 I was thrust into the darkness of reality that my heroes and the world they created and blessed us all with until that evil night was now ripped from us and John suffered such pain. My daughter was born on Christmas day 1981. On 12/8/81 and to this day, with my missing only 5 years, I make my pilgrimage to Strawberry Fields across from the Dakota where Yoko sets the candles in the windows and with my guitar, join sometimes well over a hundred other kindred souls who stand in the rain or snow or just the Christmas tide to break into smaller groups and sing and play together in honor of JWL and I always think how very lucky I was to have been here for all of this and to have heard Ed Sullivan say, "Ladies and Gentlemen... the Beatles!" and have my life changed forever... and, my beautiful daughter, came to share the experience with me many times and now she is handing it down to my 5 year old granddaughter... tonight, we were all singing "Across the Universe"... John, we love you... and I thank you from the bottom of my soul. Humanity.
These four men were all born during World War Two when bombs were falling from the sky over Britain and life on this planet was a living hell. And then to think of how much love and good feeling they brought into the world, well it takes your breath away.
They will never be forgotten and the bombs won't be forgotten either. Love is the only thing that matters and the only thing That's going to keep US going
There had really been nothing like this. Sinatra had given a taste of this in the Forties; Elvis a bigger example in the Fifties. But an entire stadium composed of screaming young women? No historical precedent. And nothing like it since, I would argue. Brian must've been, "LOOK WHAT I CREATED"
Pretty cool to see him like this aswell since there is barely footage of him and only a couple of interviews and they are all in poor quality black and white.
This video SO captures the adulation and excitement about the Beatles - not to mention their phenomenal songs and talent - at that time. If you missed it because you weren't yet born ?! You really missed something great ! Thank God for videos like this so we'll never really lose the sights and sounds of that era. :)

Airton Silva it's always good vibes with the Beatles.
The Beatles made everyone in the crowd either applaud and scream, pass out from excitement, or cry tears of joy.
Or have an orgasm
or pee themselves from excitement
I never did understand the screaming and crying! They were a wonderful band! Each album was special.
Oh, wie viele Erinnerungen kommen hoch, wenn ich dieses Lied der Beatles höre. Beste Musikband aller Zeiten❤
The harmonies in this are nothing short of tremendous
Electrifying: I felt it, back then, as a five year old boy who did not attend this concert.

Over dubbed. John's the only one singing on this track.
But of course, Paul sang the harmonies live.

This phenomenon will never occur again, not even close!
TRUE, because they were the original--unique, and what followd was pale imitation.
😭😭
Never again
Yeah i agree that it probably won't occur again but they weren't the only ones... ahem Michael Jackson!
@@MrDaiseymay What followed wasn't pale imitation but it was almost entirely derivative.

My mum is 67, me 34...she still adores the Beatles.
So did you end up getting all the girls while playing in the band?!

Paul was and is a musical genius as a songwriter, superb vocalist, lyricist, bassist, multi- instumentalist, and just brilliant in every way imaginable. Humanity.
