Jimmy Akin doesn't make sense. Worship isn't based on the recognition that someone or something is uncreated. Many pagan cultures worshipped, venerated and prayed to gods they considered to be created or subordinate to an overall creator God. Also, we simply don't see the apostles praying to any saint who had just died, and they could easily have invoked the intercession of Stephen, the first martyr.
37:04 - you have not asked if Mary is an uncreated being.... Interesting that he would say that, because pretty much all other things making God unique from men has been given to Mary. Maybe in 100 years they will add this one too. The he says he don't know if people pray more to Mary than God, he did no study of it. Really, really?? Just look at the Hail Mary, look at it!
