Thank you for always providing the numbers we need.🙏
No problem 🫡
And the ones we didn't know we needed because I didn't think the patch notes would lie to me
@@ChrighttI think the madness/sleep thing is 1-2 seconds from what I saw.
I'd imagine part of the size of the Stormhawk Axe nerf is the existence of a talisman that buffs storm abilities existing now.
The nerf to almost every storm related ash, really.
Imagine those things with the talisman but not nerfed... Too oppressive.
@@calibula95 Especially since it stacks with shard of Alexander. Even a slight nerf would have been in reality a gigantic buff to the old damage.
There is a new Horn Sword with an extended Storm Ash of War that is better then storm axe ever was. It is stupid
I wish that was the case. The new dlc stormhawk is bigger and does more damage.
this man using his time to pull the numbers out of the patch instead of playing the dlc.
the hero we didnt deserve
Chrightt: Look to my coming at first light on the second day
At dawn, look to the Spreadsheet
Real. My actual game time in DLC is not even an hour long.
You are the real MVP of the DLC @@Chrightt❤
The poise generation speed nerfs were all done so that at least 7-12 frames had passed before hyperarmor started. Otherwise in PVP you would use something like storm stomp on reaction instead of rolling through attacks and win every trade. The exact details for this change was suggested and sent to From by some people in the PVP community a while ago.
It would be nice if they made these skills more useful for PVE though.
Quick question since you seem very knowledgable, will the reduced poise generation speed affech PvE in any significant way?
I was preparing a Stormcaller build for the DLC but now I'm unsure.
@@lauruva4314 Stormcaller in particular was the least affected by the patch, and the PVP playstyle that they fixed is not really something you would naturally end up doing in PVE.
So no, I don't think you'll have any issues with that, and personally I think stormcaller is a good choice to head into the DLC with.
@@lamellarm6546 Thank you very much for the quick and thorough response!
@@lauruva4314 stormcaller still slaps in PVE.
>caring about the pvp mini game to the detriment of pve
Lame
Make it like sekiro where they just don't have pvp, the game will be better for it (like lies of P)
I totally fell for the prince of death staff placebo effect. 🤦♂️
I was like??? Where is my increased spell buff
Same the scaling of Prince of Death Staff in-game is changed from B and B to A and A.
Same with Golden Order Seal.
Michael laughing his ass off punking us
To be fair, most of us are playing Shadow of the Erdtree right now, where it's almost impossible to know if your build is working, since you do very little damage.
Are you collecting and using the scadutree fragments? You're losing out on 5% attack power per level of the blessing -- I'm doing 1200 AR on a 740 AR weapon right now.
I think part of the reason they nerfed Stormhawk, and other "Storm Skills"
Is due to Dancing Lion Boss. Not only does he give you a big goofy ass helmet that I believe increases Storm Skills, he also has a Talisman in his remembrance that buffs all the Storm Ashes and spells/incants if they exist.
The dlc dropped so many incredibly stupid looking but equally powerful bits of equipment, fashion souls is truly dead.
@sirgideonofnirtheall-knowi1881 lol, I like the gravebird top. Black quill version goes hard.
I was either tired of bored, cause I threw on Maliketh's Helm hands and legs while killing things saying. I'm BATMAN
Ah, so you introduce an item taking a slot, then nerf a skill for net negative? I missed the part where any of the storm skills were too strong.
@@TheSeth256 pvp stormhawk axe I guess
@@sirgideonofnirtheall-knowi1881Are you joking? The DLC dropped some of the best looking armor sets in the game. Rakshasa's, Rellana's, the Death Knights', and the Solitude sets all go super hard.
U know, I used to be mostly perplexed by people who can look at games like elden ring and see numbers and stats. But i think from watching ur videos, understanding a weapon’s effectiveness, and how it fits into a larger picture of other weapons and the game as a whole is beautiful too. Thanks for posting Chrightt
Thanks for getting this out so soon!
Glad with your new vid Chrightt. Thank you.
"Man, I hope Chrightt posts a patch note review soon"
Thank you Chrightt!
Always good info. Thanks Chrightt.

2 hours ago i checked to see if you uploaded yet, i was like "pleaasseee chrighttt" and i see the vid!!! You are a blessing
I cant say for sure , but for those waiting for an update on parry frames, it seems like storm walls parry frames begin as soon as golden parrys, ive been using it just to see and ive been having as much success as ever.
Many thanks for this
Your voice is so nice and calming it makes everything you say easy to understand and follow

ty very useful
Thank you
He's back!!!
The actual goat. So glad you do this
nice work
You and cryptid are the best. Thank you
I don't know why they nerfed contagious fury so hard. Having to one hand your weapon AND not have access to your weapon's ash of war is already so restrictive. Did they really need to hurt its damage buff that much, ESPECIALLY with the two hand talisman which is just going to make two handing even stronger?
... Is what i was going to say, but based on a few minutes testing i just did, the jellyfish shield doesn't seem to get punctured by thrust damage anymore, for some reason. Maybe a glitch, but it makes much better to be used as an actual shield. Pretty unhappy with how the shield has turned out in general, that weakness to thrust attack thing was so interesting
I'm pretty sure thrust damage never pierced through even though is says that in the description. Also the reason why it was nerfed is because it's a buff that stacks with other buffs. So if you even watched people trying to one shot bosses you'll see it used as one of the buffs.
actually, the thrust damage piercing the shield has never been true. It's either been bugged since launch, or that line is just the world's most confusing bit of flavor text.
Havent used the shield all that much but im pretty sure that the “pierce” damage in question is damage from weapons that deal damage through shields, like shotels and i think scythes
Well done sir
I used the Longbow a fair bit before the update for a build I was preparing, and I will say, it does feel faster on consecutive shots. It's not by a lot, but I did notice.
Praise this man and his spread sheets!!!!
Welcome back goat
He is back... God bless 🙏
Thanks for the patch breakdowns as always!
It’s funny, because I’ve been heavily using a bow in the DLC, and I did feel like it was somehow better than I remembered
bro I'm waiting for your mv update so hard!!!
Best channel, man.
Nice. First for good to see you, second for covering the insane amount of changes! As ive told you almost 2 years ago, we saw another huge, sweeping patch before the DLC, just like dks3!
Also we should play again sometimes
Thanks for the video, hopefully they follow up with the bugfixes of the not-yet-existent changes.
Suggestion: a dissection of the "Shadow Realm Blessing" mechanics. Is it a simple dmg multiplier, does it take into account your level etc etc
Hey man, nice content. I hope you get to play and create content about MH Wilds when it comes out, love myself some nerdy numbers and minmaxing
11:20 regarding the Troll Knight Sword buff, this may* affect the new Moonrithyll’s version of the same sword. I doubt it given they have different names and a different weapon art but it is possible.
Bro I been waiting for you for so long for ac6
😭 Sorry bro, was really busy near the end of my AC6 vids. I have some time off to pump ER vids but will do more AC6 vids in the future. Hopefully they give us a DLC or another game too.
I'm normally one to encourage significant balance tuning, but hitting Bubble Shower for the MAJORITY of BOTH damage and poise damage was totally unreasonable. Now a generally decent skill that was overpowered in certain scenarios is literally detrimental in most contexts and underpowered even in its niche. My build just lost its main weapon. *sigh*
"Look what they did to my boy"
And there goes my main weapon for my int/fth spellblade... what can you do?
:\
It feels like they just wanted to nerf any common method of cheesing certain encounters in time for the DLC lol. No more Comet Azur, no more bubble spam on big bosses, etc. Really sucks because I finally got around to farming a Longhorn.
Honestly it's still not a bad weapon for PvE due to the length. Does more damage than Beasthammer (though I'd guess that one has the better Ash of War now) and it's way longer than the Black Steel Hammer from the DLC.
Must of been hard playing the game with that build, how did you not get bored of cheesing the game?
Oh no! Now you actually have to play the video game.
Garbage build to be quite frank with you
the moment I saw the patch notes, I just knew it was bound to happen that some are wrong. Thank you for the amazing work
Woo, ty! =D
Thanks, this will go well if the data that’s on Elden ring PvP reddit regarding hyperarmour.
The king is back!
A Glorious Return!
Ty
Good stuff
The biggest hidden W is Black flame protection nerf. It will free up an incantation slot, and it's faster to eat a boiled crab. This matches nicely with the powerstance nerf since it was the main reason I used black flame protection. As a sidenote, it also opens up more likelyhood to use other elemental protections since 15% physical is less vital.
The other W is storm caller axe nerf. Didn't face it much in colloseum, ive seen it used as an obnoxious hardswap.
Wouldn't that make black flame protection a waste of a spell slot now?
@drakewqSouls yep. It requires a lot of faith to unlock it. Nerf was too much.
Yea black flame protection is essentially useless now as boiled crab vs. BFP is only a 5% dmg negation difference without the 20% flask debuff. I don’t mind the nerf but it’s sad to see most buffs go from viable to useless. I was experimenting with bfp in invasions and it was great for tanking more hits against 3 mans, now I’d say the best buffing routine before fights would be golden vow + blessing boon + barrier of gold / golden lighting protection, then if you notice the defense you applied is not useful in your situation, you can simply pop a crab for more dmg negation. Braggarts roar also adds another 10% dmg negation so this is really good in the offhand.
20% would feel more appropriate
Praise the Sun! Just the video I needed
I am eagerly waiting on the information on the parry changes.
I love this guy
Would really be nice if Fromsoft themselves could give us this information. Thanks a lot for unpacking all this!
Thanks for this, I greatly appreciate your patch note videos as they have the real numbers, and not just "I feel this is stronger or weaker".
Welcome back guy o7
appreciation comment. looking forward to indepth look at new weapon
Thx
I only come here to check about the parry frames. Disappointed but I'll wait your video on it. 👌🏻
Thank you. I love the longhorn and was really bummed about the nerf. It felt like around a 50% decrease in damage and thanks to you i can confirm that it is.
I need your weapon breakdowns so I can pre plan my dlc builds
