Really nice to see the teardown of this unit. I got the smaller R600 myself. But seeing how the R2500 is build shows to me the level of quality that the company delivers in building these products. It looks solid, feels solid and i expect a long usage out of it. Maybe next year I'll upgrade, we'll see.
Bought a r2500 Oct 3/23 and so far works great. When the ac switch is first pressed on it comes up at 50hz then after 5sec or more it switches to 60hz. The app also has 50hz /60hz toggle. The only minor issue with mine is a slight odor when inverter is working hard. Not sure plastic or something else. Never has been a problem and runs fairly cool and noise level is minimal even when fans are on high. I'm in Canada and in area prone to power outages. Well worth money and even better on sale. Nice to see they are built well so thanks for this video. PS heavy so recommend a wheel cart for distances. Great video and tear down
The off gassing when it heats up is the conformal coating on the PCB that keeps dust and moisture away. It will go away after awhile. Similar to the new car smell.
I have had for 8 months. Its good product. Its heavy alright.. lol solor and plug it charge's fast. Only complaint is charging door. Its in the back? But besides that great product 280w solor most I've gotten from panels.
Thanks for the teardown. Glad to see it's not a bodge job inside. I wonder if the bigger names (Ecoflow, Bluetti etc) are worth the premium on top of this.
Well that's a decent invertor stage it has. I've rarely seen such a clean sine wave on a UPS mode output before. Makes you less afraid to use it on different devices. A lot of invertors that use FET switching put out a blocky waveform which averages out as an AC wave but is nowhere near an AC sign wave. In the UK the R2500 with the solar panels you have is £1179.99 direct from their UK website.
And you shouldn't need to. My ev is almost 13 years old. Battery has lost about 5 miles of range. As long as you don't run ur flat and store it dead. Charge every 6 months if not being used and if will be fine.
Just bought R2500, and started to test, My Desktop PC has power supply(Dark Power Pro 12, 1500w) with hold up time 17ms, looks like should be good with R2500, is equipped with less than 15ms UPS, but it doesn't work, when the power outage, PC just went to restart..

Excellent video. Great to see the inside is well put together.
Looks like a well made device, and smart.
The solar panel did better than i expected.
On a clear day it will put our 400 watts. I managed 227 as the weather wasn't cooperating today. Today it would be zero as it's raining.

Nice video, have they released any app updates with any extra features, ups status/control on app, power voltage adjustment etc

I use the bluetti eb3 as my ups for my computer. Been flawless.

Impressed about the tear down... no way on earth to change the batteries in there tho :)

I use the bluetti eb3 on my computer. Full ups no switch over delay at all. Been through multiple power failures and pc keeps humming along.
