OMG this product is terrific! I was in despair over the look of my oxidized outdoor cast aluminum furniture and now it looks great again! Thank you for your review.
From what I have read at Amazon reviews (1 star), they indicate when applied it looked great; once dried it's back to the way it was - I was hoping your review would show us how it looked a day later.
I wanted to fix up my dried-out looking aluminum furniture, and a Google search led me to this video. I had also thought about car wax and WD-40, but opted to buy this product based on this review. A few days later, my furniture looks great. The product works exactly as shown here, and the smallest jug was more than enough for my dining table and six chairs with plenty left for subsequent years. This process will now be part of my annual spring yard cleanup. Thank you for the video. Much appreciated.
Thank you!!! We had no idea our furniture was merely oxidized!!! You saved us from attempting to repaint our patio furniture!!! Thank you for your simple solution!!! We are very appreciative!!!
Thank you SO much for posting this information. I just applied this solution to my "Crosley" tulip chairs (which are steel) and had terrific results. Reading a few other comments, I will cross my fingers that the oxidation doesn't return once the chairs are dry. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to post this video. :-)
I've used this stuff... looks nice for about a week and after that go's dull and fade-out again... as well you could use stainless steel cleaner and get same results
After 2 months I did reapply to some areas that were being harder hit by the sun. That being said I still recommend this stuff. It goes on so quickly and easily that I do not mind occasionally reapplying. My outdoor furniture looked so bad my only other choices would have been to replace or repaint which would have been quite expensive.
Hey thank you for this.. I just bought some patio furniture that looks just like this. I thought it was Iron but its alot lighter than I expected. Do you think its aluminum? If so I can use this on it?
Wandering if this would help seal a cast aluminum outside coke horse? It’s been sand blasted and primed. It does have pitting from being out in the bad weather and on kept up was very bad before the sandblasting. But is going outside so want to weather prof it. Not sure what type of paint to use? Thanks
Lasts a couple of months at best. I have reapplied 6-8 times over the last 2 years. If you're going to sell your stuff and want it to look good, and don't care what the buyer winds up with later, then fine. If you are having a pool party and you want to make it look good for the party, then fine. But this stuff is NOT a magic bullet. It is a temporary fix. I doubt that any product can compete with having it professionally refinished, probably for 50% of the cost of a new set, so probably not really worth the trouble.
It may, wax is tough to get off. I’ve used armor all to get wax off surfaces, the issue on furniture is that it would leave the furniture oily so you would them want to use a degreaser afterwards.
I wish I had known about this stuff before I started trying to scrape and peel o d for the layers of paint or whatever it is on my cast aluminum furnuture. . X what can I do now. ?
I have four black metal patio (rocking) dining chairs and tables. I don't know if it's wrought iron, aluminum, steel or a mix, but it came painted black. I re-sprayed it last summer--beautiful. I read how you should use car paste wax to protect the finish. I did that, buffed it, and with the first rain weeks later, it all turned horrifically white. It looks ruined after the winter & I'm distraught. I don't know how to remove the wax but saw this video and wondered if it would get me back to square one. What if I don't have aluminum? Anyone else with this problem? The chair backs and seats are like a wire mesh almost with tubular parts, flat arms...thx!
You can check your chairs with a maggot, if the maggot does not stick to the chairs, it is most likely aluminum. As far as getting the wax off, I would suggest either a pressure washer, or some sort of wax remover, or using something like Dawn dish soap. The pressure washer may Screw up the paint, so that may not be the best choice.
Great idea. I really don't know what our outdoor furniture is made of, whether it's aluminum, metal or something else? It's black and we got it from Home Depot. There's spots and some grease marks over it, and it's driving me kookoo.
Here are two products that would work better; 1. Collinite Collonite 47618 No. 476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax-18 oz 2. Renaissance Wax Polish , 200 ml Used these and other products detailing cars.
These are products that are used in high end detailing shops. They are used because of the results they produce. They would not be used if they came off in cars that cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. I am not trying to reinvent the wheel, I just want the best that is also rated the highest.
There are also very high-end ceramic polish/sealers. There are multiple steps in the process and must be applied in a low dust environment. Any imperfections will be trapped in the coating system finish. This will give you the hardest finish by far.
Using a Detail King Rupes LHR 21 Mark III Big Foot Random Orbital Polisher and high-end products will give you amazing superior results that few people have ever experienced. Once tried, you want go back!!!

@tstay24 do you know if maybe olive oil or leather cleaning clothes could work to clean and brighten up the black color? I don't have wd 40 and don't want to buy a product that might now work like in this video. So I want to try some stuff I have at home already. My furniture isn't peeling or damage just had a bath winter is all.

How does it look now 3 months later? Wondering how often it’s likely required
how's it look after more than a year?
Thank you!!! We had no idea our furniture was merely oxidized!!! You saved us from attempting to repaint our patio furniture!!! Thank you for your simple solution!!! We are very appreciative!!!
I used this product yesterday and it works EXACTLY as shown. No BS. Get it.
I tried putting clear coat on it last year-didn’t look much better / so I can’t wait to try this!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks

Cleaning and spraying with a can of non-yellowing UV clear coat is another option that will last along time and make it look like new.

i have the exact same table, glad to see this worked

Excellent tips! Looking for exactly this! Hope I can gey it in the UK!
Will this stuff work on steel platio furniture?
Great video and product. I have this same furniture and looking for new glides for the legs for the chairs
Does this work on deck railings
This video was awesome I bought this stuff and used on my whole patio set it came out like brand new!! It’s awesome!! Thank you so much !!
Awesome!!!
Does it still look good 3 weeks later?
Yup, you’ll have to reapply about once a year.
Thank you for posting! Just ordered.
will it work on bare aluminum on my Pontoon boat?
looks Gooding try this, I will let you know, thank you
I tried something similar to this product once before but as soon as it dried, it looked exactly the same. It was expensive, too! Any thoughts?
what do i do if the furniture has scratches on it? Wool it first? or just apply?
Try white vinegar with 50% water mix. Give it a good scrub and wipe off the access.
Is it safe on car paint
Hey thank you for this.. I just bought some patio furniture that looks just like this. I thought it was Iron but its alot lighter than I expected. Do you think its aluminum? If so I can use this on it?
Excellent 😊
Do you need to clean the table before you apply? How long will this last?

Very Nice Concept

Can you use this product on wrought iron furniture?
What is the name of this product and where to buy it
How do you get the old paint off?
Hi, this product work on iron doors , faded by sun ?
Are they painted doors?
I’m been looking for something to use on my iron doors 🚪 they look dull and fading. I need to bring back the shine
I’ve used Mother’s Back To Black (car care product) on black iron. Works really well.
Someone told me to use car wax on my table. But after buffing off it left a white haze. Will this correct it?
It may, wax is tough to get off. I’ve used armor all to get wax off surfaces, the issue on furniture is that it would leave the furniture oily so you would them want to use a degreaser afterwards.

Our furniture has quite a lot of white oxidised areas
Will this still work on those
Yes, it’s removed the oxidation and protects the metal so it doesn’t come back.
Thank you!
Does this product get rid of the rough and bumpy feeling of the furniture?
If the finish is peeling, no, it won’t. You’ll have to go over it with steels wool first.
Thanks a lot I was going to buy spray to paint my patio furniture...
What if your aluminum is peeling? Can you do a video on that?
Will this aluminium remover take the old lacquered paint stuff that is chipped off as it is constantly being half picked and annoying half on half off
It won’t remove the paint that’s flaking off, I would suggest using a pressure washer to knock all that loose
Does anybody know where i can buy this in Canada? On Amazon the price is $95 !! Seriously??
Thanks
jean paradis I have the same issue in the UK, out of stick
Stock sorry
I think I have cast iron, not cast aluminum (it is very heavy furniture). Would this work on that?
use a magnet. It sticks to cast iron; won't stick to alumninum.
Can I use this on cast aluminum or cast iron I’m not sure what kind of furniture I bought it used and it’s very dull but I don’t see any rusting yet.
Try to stick a magnet to it, if it doesn’t stick it’s aluminum.

It worked great for one day.
Then it looked dry again?
What the name of product? Zooming in on it would have been helpful.

@@DoItYourselfDad Thank you. I will try.
What’s the name of this product I can not see it in the video :/
This is it: amzn.to/2HrgT3F
do you think this can be applied with a paint sprayer on an aluminum fence instead of wiping?
Thanks for your response
I don’t see why not, you would probably still want to wipe off any excess.
I am cleaning a large patio table, do I power wash it first, let it dry and then use this product?
Yes, you want to apply it when it's dry.
Did what they said and it looked great at 1st, but the next day it dried back to same dull look!!!!!!
Will you post the name of the product?
This is the stuff Im using: amzn.to/3vZGnx1
What about the rust ?
If it’s rusting it isn’t aluminum. That’s a whole different process.
How about refinishing this type of furniture when peeling and flaking occurs?
If it's flaking you're best bet is to pressure wash it.
What about just using wd40?
Wd40 looks good, but will fade almost immediately, attracts dust and dirt, and will rub off on cloths.
Can I email a question to you?
Sure thing diyourselfdad@gmail.com

Is this the Project Farm guy?
Nope, but I do watch a lot of his videos!
Tip- when cleaning wicker chairs, dont use a pressure washer
Amazon has allot of bad reviews on this product!!! A better value would have been - Mothers 05101 Mag & Aluminum Polish - 10 oz!!!
Aluminum polish works on raw aluminum, doesn’t to squat for coated or painted aluminum.
Misleading!
Read AMAZON reviews first!
🙆🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I've used WD40 on my outdoor furniture and had very similar results and far cheaper
I’ve done that before. Leaves a residue, attracts dust and dirt and doesn’t last.
just tried this before i buy a solution, worked great to darken up the blacks. I'll watch to see how it lasts

You're welcome!
Will this work on powder coated cast aluminum, or will it damage the coating in any way?
Yes it will work fine, the furniture I use it on is powder coated.
