God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension."
      Freeman Dyson, famous physicist.
      .
Mysteries; scientific mysteries, religious mysteries personify Freeman Dyson. Here's how he thinks , speculating about non-physical things is permitted even enjoyed but never confuse speculation with science. Not physical is not science. Dualism describes reality. There is a mental component or apparatus of some kind . The mental could affect or set the conditions of the physical universe . The mental could have instilled some kind of purpose . One could call this mental component or apparatus God . God, if there is a God, is part of the universe , evolves with the universe . God is Not omniscient, does not know what's going to happen. God's knowledge increases over time.

So strange coming across this afterlife incident. I am now 54 but in my childhood I had a preoccupation with Lou Gehrig as far back as I can remember and I was not nearly the baseball buff as Christian Haupt. Growing up in the 70's there was no internet or VCR's and the only way I could have known of Gehrig is on rabbit ears TV by happenstance which I must have seen quite randomly - but it always stuck to this day. Now I've seen all the videos and internet and know all about him and he is one of my all time favorite people that has ever lived - the guy is solid gold inside and out. I am a big believer in reincarnation, the afterlife and such and I am convinced we must have lived that life together and are somehow related and actually being guided by him - I have many.

. I am a practicing Christian but not a believing Christian. To me, to worship God means to recognize that mind and intelligence are woven into the fabric of our universe in a way that altogether surpasses our comprehension.

My father, now deceased, is named Robert George Gehrig. His father, my grandpa, also deceased, is named Robert Adolf Gehrig, who emigrated to the U.S. from Switzerland via Canada after WWI. We've often wondered if or how we might be related to Lou Gehrig, the famous Yankee.

I’m a Christian and I wholeheartedly believe in reincarnation. Those who don’t are closed minded and judgmental about many things. I’ll leave it at that. ❤ God bless you.

In the bible, John 9, Jesus doesn't correct his disciple when he asks if the blind man was born blind because he had sinned (how could he have sinned if was not even born?). Why do you think that is? The Jews have and had knowledge that were passed through generations to generations and not everything is written. Jesus was a Jew and so were his disciples. Also, the judgment day, the day when Jesus will return and decides whether our spirit will return to the Father or go to hell for eternity, has not come yet. So where do we really go in the meantime when our earthly body is no longer? Our spirit continues to live, either in the spirit world or comes back to Earth if needs be, and that only makes sense.

You would find that most orthodox Rabbis believe in reincarnation. Reincarnation is part of Judaism.
You are correct Christ did not rebuke the apostles when asked because he knew reincarnation was real. Christ even asked the apostles ' who do they say I am' Matthew 16:13-19. If someone asked a similar question today you may think they were a bit strange unless you had some acceptance in the belief of reincarnation.
Christ also said that John the Baptist was Elijah.
We are here to come to enter into a relationship with God and accept his free gift of sin through the death of Christ. Mainstream christianity today has been tainted by the influence of roman emperors to control the masses. When the final judgement happens as per revelations man is separated into those that were known by God and those who were not. Every soul is given that opportunity, otherwise Gods judgement would not be fair and just.
