Broken Differential: 2024 USTCC R4 Sonoma Raceway FK8 Civic Type R

After making plenty of suspension changes to better the handling of the FK8 following a disappointing outing at Buttonwillow, we were excited to compare the car to the last time we were at Sonoma Raceway for Round 2 where we set a new USTCC TC Lap Record as well as the overall FK8 Record. Unfortunately, after doing some traditional touring car two-wheeling over a huge curb, the limited-slip differential was damaged and no longer functioning properly. This led to some major traction issues exiting corners and hampered our overall pace.
Watch as the car lights up the inside front coming out of some of the key traction zones! You can often see the tire overheating on the Team Plus tire temperature display. The rear sensors were not installed for this race, but the fronts were showing the results of the broken differential.
Nonetheless, a solid drive up the field after a poor qualifying led to an interesting race.
