If you drive the 3.0d first and then drive this smaller engine, you will see the difference, the 3.0d suits the car perfectly and it just wafts along effortlessly, unlike the smaller diesel which strains on hills and motorways, plus there is'nt a huge difference in economy
buying 3.0 litre diesel engine with 265 hp is not wasting money. in this car you have 201 hp 0-60 in 7.7 seconds, and the 265 hp CLS does 0-60 in 6.2 with slighlty more consumption. getting CLS 250 CDI IS wasting money. you definitely should get 350 CDI
i got the 350 but in my country we pay a 700 dollars tax for engines over 2 liter, the 250 in europe is saving money specially in germany wich has a higher tax.but if you have money for this car you have for the tax
So topical to find haters writing crap getting personal . the guys just telling you what he's found out with the car after 10,000 miles ok he's not going to hang your wife......
Absolute bollocks, if you had of drove both of these cars you would know the four-cylinder I was nowhere near the grunt of the six cylinder, and is a lot more inferior drive off to the six.
How is it possible that I average in E class 2014 with the same engine driving around Leeds 35 mpg? If the traffic is heavy 25 mpg, on the motorway usually around 45 mpg
they've done a great job with the front end of that car, very distinctive

Actually until you said something I completely forgot about voice activation.. I don’t use it either 🤦🏽♂️
- CLS 550 4MATIC
Good no-nonsense review.
I had no idea that MB offered the CLS in a 4 cylinder.
Thanks.
Yea actually it's renault engine

@@Cazanu417 Specially??? WTF man😆
It's a non sense spendin 50 thousand pounds for a car and having a 4 cylinder under the bonnet!
So true
I have the 350 CDI and it is quick. If I could afford the 5.5 v8 I would have that one.
I have it and I agree that most people would if they could
Where part 2?
That first gen looked so much better than the actual version (as of May 2017), it really looks sharper IMO

Take into consideration aerodynamics of the car
Why is is compared with a XF they are completely different cars
Now I know why real TV presenters get such huge salaries.
They sure as hell don't spend it looking good. This gentleman looks like an unmade bed.
I’m gonna get cls 550 and install an lpg in him so it will be cheaper than the 2.5d.
I doubt it
If you’re coming out with comments like that, it’s unlikely you have the cash power to buy a car like the CLS
4 cylinder cls is a joke
Driven one?
I think 3 cylinder is better! Lol
oh god i hate diesel engines, tick tick tick, its like finding yourself with a supermodel only to find out its a ladyboy
+Rich E Newer Diesels make a lot less sound. Sometimes unrecognisable from petrol engines
