I think more so how they were raised, bc they’re both around 17-18 years old, so blowing a kiss isn’t anything extremely erotic usually by that age. Fern was raised mainly alone in a forest with a priest and frieren, with no outside interaction for romance. And Stark was raised mostly in a warrior village and alone with Eisen, also providing no real possible romantic situations.
Stark from Eisen: We can tough out poison. Fern from Heiter: Alcohol is the best Medicine. Frieren from Flamme: Seduction-technique over 1000 years old.
Yes! The current crew of 4 actually seems like the apprentices of the 4 before, Stark with Eisen(the Warrior), Sein with Heiter(the Priest), Fern with Frieren(the Mage) and actually Frieren with Himmel(the Hero). Good catch Ange
The relationship between mentors and disciples is a big part of the show, but is rarely commented on. Kudos to you. And, yes, Frieren is in many ways becoming Himmel's disciple - not by learning the way he fought, but by trying to live like him, and having the same impact on the people she meets.
7:00 Yes Ange, you picked that up way faster than most people. I think many people don't notice at all - which is fine, nothing wrong with just enjoying the journey. I warned you before the keep an eye out for shots of the sky (Himmel = sky). What the sky is doing, what the sun is doing, the weather. Also, when making a decision or overcoming adversity, Frieren often looks at the sky (Himmel, but also something people do to remember the dead or when thinking of a loved one watching over them), or the camera cuts to the Sky. It happened a lot in this episode with the night sky, and a sunset, and a clear blue open sky above the church when Sein decided to adventure with them.
"Heiter was appalled." One of my favorite lines in the entire series! And then, Frieren popping out the phrase "sonny boy" like a granny, looking like a junior high student. This episode flat out broke me! lol Oh yeah. Himmel and Frieren were clearly one another's first (and so far only) true loves. Or at least I thought that had been made clear in episodes one and three.
Since you caught up on it: Frieren does get Himmel's spot. When they left for the Northern lands (in the city with the strict guard, right after they recruited Stark), there's a flashback of them leaving that fades into the present of the new crew leaving. Himmel's spot is filled by Frieren and Frieren's spot was empty in the present.
Frieren getting comparison to anya is always funny to me knowing that they are a completely different character and yet similar in a way. Its even more funnier bcause they have the same voice actor, atsumi tanezaki. Such a talented VA.
Wow. You guys holding out hope that Stark's brother is alive. I believe all in his city were killed and Stark is the only one alive from there. Sein is a great addition as you'll find and you do want a well rounded party for your adventure. Stark maybe able to handle most things but wouldn't be bad to have another warrior with them...
what Frieren meant by aversion to her own kind, i think it was that he was a genius as well. I really like they way you guys interepeted it as well i like that, and love today's reaction keep it up😁👍
Considering the context and the flashback placed right next to it, it's clear that Frieren meant that Sein is like how she used to be, hesitant to leave her comfort zone and go on a journey because "it's too late".
7 months have passed but Don't give up! There's many good animes and I understand that you can't watch them all. But.. COTE, Vinland Saga, Re:Zero are absolute masterpieces. If someone considers themselves an anime fan, they should give a chance to any of these titles, where the script rules like in Frieren
Sein is the fun uncle of the group 😆
Episode 19 is now live over on Patreon for anyone wanting to get ahead! www.patreon.com/carlie_and_ange
Next week is the finale❤
I like that because Stark and Fern are so young, they even think Frieren's kiss action was lewd and comment on Sein's strength as a priest to resist.
I think it's not just their age but the juxtaposition of the normal reserved big baby Frieren and the "lewd" Frieren that took them off guard!
Especially when both of them are raised by non sexual ppl like Heiter, Eisen and Frieren

I mean, Himmel fainted, and Eizen called her a wicked woman😂😂
well, Fern grow up with a priest and stark basically growing up with all men, so both of them must be really new with that lol
"Won't somebody please take this child home?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I swear I've heard that in another anime lol but can't remember which
I feel like you are thinking of One Punch Man when Saitama met Tatsumaki.
@@organizerbmo One Punch Man...Saitama said it to Tatsumaki
Stark from Eisen: We can tough out poison.
Fern from Heiter: Alcohol is the best Medicine.
Frieren from Flamme: Seduction-technique over 1000 years old.
even the potion that dissolves clothes 😂

Frieren has that expired rizz 😂

Love that Stark and Fern were blown away by the kiss
Himmel was so in love with Frieren IT HURTS

the poetry of the new group is so good, the emotional payoff is gonna be * chef's kiss* i just know it

Fun Fact: Sein has the same VA of Gojo Satorou from JJK!
Sub VA??
@@junglekxngtalksanime ye
What the fun part about that?
Thought he sounded familiar
And he was also (the amazing) Daybreak from Spy x Family, as well as Bucciarati from JoJo Golden Wind (although these guys have not watched that one).

The funniest episode by far 🤣, Frieren is so adorable ❤️
I think Sein isn't into Frieren type, he's into Flamme type 😁
Hope he will meet Methode in the future
@@RaidenShogun_CookingChannel hope so 🥹
@@RaidenShogun_CookingChannel But he's not a small, cute elf 😂
Carlie and Ange get ready to board the Himmel x Frieren ship 🛳

my favorite part of this channel reaction is the discussion at the end
I want to say we have been waiting for this episode but let's be real we are waiting for every episodes of Frieren from you guys 🤣
This is the time where this episode airs Gojo got sealed in Shibuya in Jjk. Got isekaied as a priest to join Anya's (Frieren va) party.🤣😆
Perhaps it was boring inside the prison realm, so he decided to teleport to another anime just to pass time

You guys always make my morning, so glad I can watch with you guys. Hope you have a wonderful one
My obligatory "You are required to watch A Place further than the Universe" comment.
Yes. You caught on. Freiren is playing the role of the hero. This time with this new group.
I've been waiting for the new episode for days oh godd 😓😩
Frieren procastinating to help Sein..
Fern appeared whom she knows will get angry
Frieren: Oh I remember it now 😂
Been waiting for frieren reactions 😊

9:27 I recently reread Dragonball and I think the thrown kiss might be a reference to Pilaf throwing one at Bulma as perverted torture
xD
Lmao i just realized sein is voiced by gojos voice actor ?
Seems y'all had changed the schedule. Can we get the new one
I think it originates from Dungeons and Dragons, but Dwarves typically have poison resistance as a racial trait.
9:25 highlight here😂
Anya and Frieren has the same voice actor.
Flamme taught Frieren: potion to dissolve clothes is good as a present for men, seduction technique chuuu...
Sein's VA is the same as Gojo
Noo, you missed the meme! 😂
Ange, don't worry, next episode will give you more depth about Frieren-Himmel relationship, but prepare some tissue (as always)..
Why am I thinking the other way around when you said "prepare some tissue" XD
Wait. Alcohol is NOT medicine? 🤯
Sein is voiced by Gojo 😂
Sein and Gojo.. same VA
Gojo satorou is here..
sounds like gojo va
😘 chuu~❤

If you wanna know what „Sein“ means….
sein= be

Sein says Oneesan and Oneesama. Thats quite different from "older woman".
His brother called him depraved for a reason.
Day 9 waiting for One Piece
I am waiting for haikyuu season finale 😢😢😢 upload soon
