Beautiful lion cubs born at Port Lympne Reserve

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are delighted to announce the birth of two lion cubs, who were born in April 2024, to mum Oudrika and dad, Hunter.
Port Lympne’s experienced team have been monitoring the boisterous new-borns as they venture out into their impressive 8-acre enclosure, the largest lion enclosure in Europe, for the first time.
Port Lympne’s Animal Director, Simon Jeffery, said: "We are thrilled with these new arrivals. Both cubs are doing well, looking strong, and are venturing out into the enclosure with their parents and three sisters. We can’t wait for the public to meet our two new additions.”
Visitors can now celebrate the cubs’ arrival by coming to see these beautiful animals thriving with their pride.
Other recent new additions at Port Lympne include: the arrival of a feisty new giraffe named Karamojo and a new fossa - the largest mammalian carnivore found natively on Madagascar - called Makira. Swing by the new Critically Endangered Sumatran orangutans, Hadjah and Malou, sniff out the South American maned wolves, Pablo and Snoop or take a stroll through Wallaby Walk to spot the new joey baby peeking out of its pouch. Meet the tiny baby Javan gibbon, Sunda, the baby De Brazza monkey Bello, or take a trip to the Palace of the Apes to spot the youngest of the gorilla family: baby Kafele.
Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve is open every day from 9.30am - 6pm, adults admission tickets cost £32, children £28 (0 - 3 year olds go FREE), or why not purchase an annual family pass from £195, so you can visit Pablo and Snoop, Hadjah and Malou, and all the other new arrivals as many times are you like for 12 months and follow their progress. The annual pass also gives free access to the sister park, Howletts Wild Animal Park in Canterbury.
