It didn’t ruin anything. Toy Story 3 was the perfect send off for ANDY’s story which was the original trilogy. Toy Story 4 continued Woody’s story which wasn’t done.

Toy Story 4 was in memory of Don Rickles, the voice of Mr. Potato Head. They used his voice from outtakes from previous movies and compiled for this movie so he's still part of the story.
See, I consider the trilogy to be the main story, while this is a separate arc with new morals. The first three were about stages of life - accepting that people you love will have other people they love just as much, accepting that losing a loved one doesn't mean you'll never love again, and that eventually, you have to move on from the things you once loved to pursue new parts of your life. The fourth movie continues that theme of learning to accept change and move on, but involving Woody's internal abandonment issues and desire to be important to the people he cares about, so it'll be interesting to see if they'll continue along that same vein.
It was the first fully CGI movie as well. Other movies had used CGI, but no movie was exclusively CGI before Toy Story. And look at the first few, you can see they worked with what they could do well with. No one was going to try to do hair, so no humans (or minimal). The first is Toy Story. Plastic pieces, easy to do lighting. The next two were Bugs Life and Antz. Same deal. Before this, you had some Pixar shorts and the like. Try Tin Toy. The toy looks fine. The baby? Well...not everything holds up.
dude! i didn't know they removed the scene with stinky pete and the barbies... I remember that scene! I'm pretty sure it's on the dvd we have. it does make sense that they'd remove it. it's one of the many scenes that made me feel weird about the movie, as a kid

Sadly new ports of the game all use the Wii version which has a lot of content cut compared to the PS3 version but its still an absolutely amazing game. It includes a full open world wild west area similar to Disney Infinity, along with the buzz lightyear video game from the second movie and lots more!

This might sound bizarre, but I think Toy Story 4 is an amazing Woody movie, not a good Toy Story movie. Mainly this comes down to just how hard they character assassinate the cast. Regardless, I am happy that people enjoyed it for what it was!

I grew up literally with woody and buzz and as a kid toys became real these movies are the last toys of the generation of toys r us and number 4 made me laugh and literally cry for the end of the childhood I grew up on

But the ending for the 3er one is just so emotional... Never seen the 4th one but I don't think it was needed. Bitter sweet ending that could make you feel something will always be the best in my book.

Toy story 4 did buzz dirty. Took away years of experience being a toy. Buzzes whole story in 4 should have been what forky goes through, not a seasoned vet like buzz
So sad story with a happy ending so when I was really young I had a woody doll and it was the same size from the film and one night someone accidentally let a apartment building on fire and the entire apartment complex was burned down and I lost a lot of stuff and one of those was woody but I forgot what age I went to Disneyworld and found they had one and my parents got it 😁
My only issue with Toy Story continuing is that they easily could have kept same theme of toys coming alive and make up a new story and cast to carry the reigns. Reck it Ralph which is similar was able to do that while being its own thing. I thought this was too perfect of send off for 3 trilogy and original cast who are now getting old and some pasted away. I was excited for new Star Wars having something new and original but hated how they use old story and characters as stepping stones.
