    Does anyone else have this problem where they watch one of Levy's videos and then your like "that was really inspiring I'm going to go play chess now and crush everyone" and then you proceed to lose 46 games in a row.

      I'm the opposite actually, I get that way with sports and stuff but I always play significantly better after watching a very strong chess player

    VERY classy of Levy resigning that last game when clearly lost and opponent had 1 second left. THAT was the best move of the whole video.

    I've never watched a near 2 hour RUclips video before in my life but I was captivated from start to finish. It's hard to convey the value of this content for players. Many pay to hear chess analysis at this level while it's happening in the moment. As much as memorizing lines can help players improve - knowing the thought process behind making moves, in my opinion, is far more valuale. Excellent content and kudos for a great channel.

      @@naczelnypsycholog6296 Not at all. If a chess teacher tells you that they know the response to every single possible line, run away. Admitting that they do not know but showing how to play the position in a solid manner is much more realistic. We are not computers. We will never know the response to every single line in the first 10 moves of every opening.

      ​@@sagarsharma877 agree, but that is from perspective of someone who already has some chess experience under his belt, and I'm guessing GMs know very well most of the theoretical lines in each openings, anyways his courses are rather targeting to the elo 1500 and below newbies, so those players rather still have and idealistic imagination about chess as usually the beginner mind strive for total perfection, that's why I think is bad

      I know this comment is a year old but also know that type of pain can linger awhile. It's cool you can use this to get your mind off of things. It's a good way. Also remember bitches ain't shit get out and do some things you don't normally do don't be afraid to put yourself out there and you'll find another one, just don't get attached.     I find this series incredibly useful to my game because I hear Levy talk through multiple options for each move and weigh the advantages and disadvantages, which informs my decisions.

    1:34:50 "I've never seen this in my life" yeah no kidding. Every time Levy drops an opening video, he mentions a bunch of moves the opponent makes. Meanwhile my opponents do this shit. Now I know why, he's never seen this lmao

    Hi Levy, I usually don't comment but I think this was your best ""How to Win at Chess" series yet (and I watch them all!) I can only imagine how much work and energy goes into making these videos. All we can say is thank you! :) You've finally inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and play some rapid games against humans instead of just sparring with the bots and puzzle solving.

      That's exactly where I am! I mostly play the boys and can do puzzles for a couple hours. But real people online? Eeeek! But I'm getting better with Levy's reasoning and voice in my head. It was a great step for me. I lost more than I expected, but I learned a lot about chess and my own psychology when under attack. I love chess, it's actually helping me understand my anger. Thanks for sharing your comment!

      Get some courses, totally worth it. Since learning a black and a white course my rating's gone up 200 points and is still climbing. It gave me a much clearer direction and structure with my playing.

      @Tyler I don't know about that. I started watching when he was doing the first of this series and I can now follow along as he has progressed the series. I think he has escalated the complexity of this series nicely. Though he may need to continue adding in basic level content to help some of the audience along since guess the elo is random on the complexity of the game.

    I don't usually comment... I love seeing you work through genuinely difficult situations. Seeing you point out mistakes of lower rates players is also helpful but I find that I'm always more excited for videos in which you're chess skills are really challenged. Thanks for all your hard work.

    Levi, been watching your vids for a few months. Truly a master class-finally going to take the dive into some courses. I’m thinking E4 first. Been a 1600-1800s range rapid player for a LONG time and just more ‘addicted’ to the instant gratification than putting in the work. Changing my mindset, elevating my game. Thank you for what you do.

    I usually don’t comment, but this is one of my favorite series on your channel and you really played some tough rated opponents, definitely draining lol. I’m learning that you really have to see what your opponent wants to do in response to your moves.

      surprisingly, one of the best things you can do for a creator is buy RUclips Premium. It disables ads for you and it gives a much larger amount of money to the creator.

    Amazing job Levy. I was probably an hour in before I realized how long the video was. By then I decided I couldn’t stop till the end. That last match was definitely an odd one, couldn’t imagine doing it after thinking for 2 hours straight.

    Love seeing you being challenged (and even losing) once in a while, I think such games can be even more instructive than those where you just steamroll some poor guy.
    Also love that you don't try to win from opening prep, that also makes the games far more interesting.
    Would love to see way more of this type of content!
