Was really into chess when I was younger & stopped - it’s now been some 20+ years & have started to gain a lot of interest & start playing again.
Also, i appreciate the content & never comment.
I don't usually comment but love the content! I've gotten back into chess after 20+ years of not playing and am learning tons from your courses and content. So awesome to hear the thought processes of great players as it helps refine my own thought process when playing.
"After 20+ years of not playing..." Then you're too old not to know the word "hiatus", even if you're new to English.
@@pythonpillow1114 I know the word hiatus, but I can't fathom (there's another word I know) why anyone would reply to this post only to suggest I should've used a specific word.
@@jonathanhenderson9422 "of not playing" could've been halved in character quantity & I choose to share this for the same reason Louis C.K. likes company.
@@pythonpillow1114 There's a lot of extant, obscure words that can replace short phrases, but I've never met anyone who felt compelled to point them out in response to a RUclips comment!
Honestly I kinda like it when it's just higher rated players cuz usually your opponent just makes a dumb blunder
But that just makes it that much better
8:54 when night clubs reopen and you pull a fatty
I don't usually comment, but hearing the thought process of Levi during several games combined with subtile humour just makes me do it
1:33:45 The computer shows an amazing combination and he says "I hate computers, they are the worst" :D . Really enjoyed the episode, thanks.
This was actually surprisingly informative. I like your content like this. Its slower and actually does teach me stuff
Hey man, I never comment but u are the only chess channel I watch everyday. Keep doing your grate content, and greatings from Spain!
Levy: Win At Chess
Also Levy: loses
He showed us how to win as white against an IM by playing a weird opening with white.
dont be like that be grateful
I mean he could have easily won in time that last match
I kinda miss 700 rated players hanging queens on move 2 😂😂
also 1660 rated players hanging pieces on move 6
@@ccfshorts101 And missing moves like rook a4
@@sravanthch2879 maybe he just didnt like it even though he could have trapped the mans queen
@@ccfshorts101 but he's 161660 n hung a piece on move 6, didn't see a trapped queen for 3 moves in a row, I'm not a psychic or hikaru's sidekick, I'm just fucking righteous
@@sravanthch2879 yeah he played like a potato
Wow! That last game resignation was a class act Levy. That alone was a great lesson! Thanks for the awesome video.
I dont usually comment but this episode was great! I love longer episodes because it means that I get to laze around for that much longer before I click on another GothamChess video
I'd love to comment the exact minute when levy gives the code. But no, you should watch the entire video, it's really good
“My entire existing is based on the game of chess” lucky you!
Made it to 100 mins and it's gold all the way through, just like your heart, Levy
Okay, I usually dont comment. love these longer videos. I watch almost all videos on 1.5-1.75 speed and so watching these mammoth videos is awesome. You get to watch your thought process against higher rated people and its awesome. Even if the video is 4 months old, I hope you see this :P
I actually actively watched all of this video. Normally I just have Gotham running in the background and only watch with one eye, but this video was solid to see him break down the logic of his moves and his thought process

Previous comment’s joke aside, the 40% off coupon is super dope. Thank you.
Also, after two hours worth of your commentary/analysis I feel like you’ve just given away the beginner lesson for free with this video. Damn bro
why is the code not working? I have been trying to use it for days now
@@sportingcp2760 I would guess that’s because it expired. This is a question better suited for Mr. Gotham
I feel like his titles are the most random
I think he does that for the RUclips algorithm lmao
levi video titles are slowly turning into hikaru video titles
Takes me a whole day to watch this video because of obligations but it’s worth every second. It’s so inspiring to watch you play
I usually don't comment but I've been watching for a long time casually and now I'm on a binge watch through all your how to win at chess. You are amazing and the content you make is amazing. Thank you!
3:30 a.m.,Gotham posts a 2 hour long video
Me:"i don't need sleep,i need chess"
I love this episode as someone breaking into intermediate chess I appreciate the more advanced concepts you showed in these games. Thanks for being the internets chess teacher!
Hey Levy, I usually don't comment but I think this was the best ""How to Win at Chess" video you've done (and I watch them all!) I can only imagine how much work and energy goes into making these videos. All we can say is thank you! :) I play every day with a friend at work and while I play I try and emulate your thought process, it helps me a ton!
Levi, been watching your vids for a few months. Truly a master class-finally going to take the dive into some courses. I’m thinking E4 first. Been a 1600-1800s range rapid player for a LONG time and just more ‘addicted’ to the instant gratification than putting in the work. Changing my mindset, elevating my game. Thank you for what you do.
There will be instant gratification, believe me. If you know nothing just 3-4 productive hours of learning will improve you significantly.
I love this long form content, it helps me understand how a master would think, I watch a lot but don’t comment often
Goth, your comeback to streaming is bigger than Martians landing on planet earth
I don't usually comment, but I just wanted to say that I appreciate all that you do. You're an entertaining teacher, two words I thought would never interact with each other.
"Usually don't comment but appreciate the content." There ya go Gotham xD
I watch it all, everyday. Keep it up. Enjoy the “thinking process” of calculating. Met you in Vegas and watched your game with Blindfold King G.
I loved this episode. It’s always great watching top players having such an epic battle
levy resigning when opponent has 0.00.9 is why i love gothamchess so much :)
This is such a great series brother. These series literally helped me gain like 500 elo points no joke

You won't improve unless you're also solving puzzles to apply what you've learnt.
I usually don’t comment. Probably shows since I’m watching a video from a year ago. Love how you have the time to get into the thinking in a longer game. Thank you for this long of a video.
at about @11:10, is there an idea for Knight sac and take e4, if they take back, you can give a check with Rook; They can defend with Ne6, at which point you can just push the d pawn to pin knight?
