    this new bassist is real good and he adds some nice touches to the original songs. but man im gonna miss hooky playing with this band. so much more energy and presence.

    • @neilevans4352
      @neilevans4352 9 лет назад +4

      +Yuuf Eternal with hooky theyre themselves if you know what i mean, they perform without thinking, hooky,s right in saying it,s not new order without him, but if he doesnt want to be involved why does he bitch so much?

    • @JODIDO84
      @JODIDO84 8 лет назад +4

      +Yuuf Eternal Yes, you are absolutely right...It would be the same with The Cure without Simon Gallup...The new album is not bad at all, but the magic has disappeared...It would have been good if the band had splitted after Hooky's departure...Why the need to become some fucking dinosaurs...? It's better to burn than to fade away !!!

    • @stephenschofield2836
      @stephenschofield2836 8 лет назад +2

      +Yuuf Eternal Totally agree, it looks like the energy is there in the songs, but it's missing the spark. Shame that the lads haven't sorted their shit out yet, as their music will never sound right, coming from an instrument, unless the hands of Gordon and Hooky are playing it.

    • @80srevival44
      @80srevival44 8 лет назад +3

      +Stephen Schofield I'll buy these dinosaurs' music any day. Very hesitant about the new album but they put out a great work. Hints (and even a reference to Ian with having Iggy on there) of JD in there, early electronic, later electronic, and some new touches. Yes, even more cautious without Hooky being in there....he's gone, get over it. But STILL a great band, even with this lineup.

    I really love Gillian and her beautiful, streaming synths. They can be soaring, they can be melancholy. I didn't realise how much I missed them until she came back, I think she's what's been missing this century with New Order. That certain sound I fell in love with as a lonely teen in the 80s. Her synth sounds were an important part of that.

    There is NO better link, in 2015, to the 80's than #NewOrder. U2 is still good, but not their new album. New Order's new album is 80's worthy. A TRUE classic. And, the final song on this video, "Temptation," is SO good, if you are original fan.

    I love TEMPTATION, but the STREET HASSLE mashup is too pretentious even for me, alas. And I don't see the point of house arrangements for perfectly good tunes. (A house version of ISOLATION a few years back tarnished an otherwise great show.) But if they are enjoying their music, good on 'em.

    Bernard. needs to get into the gym. voice control is gone, not being able to keep up with his lyrics. hats off to the band to be on stage, but with an hour of running per week, Bernard could improve his breath control by huge measure.

    The Omphalos, in the Apollonian Oracle at Delphi, was the "navel of the world." The prophetess/priestess would enter a "mantic state." New Order is to music what the omphalos was to the ancient Greek imagination. Through their music we receive oracles, if not visions.

  • @bobscomix
    @bobscomix 8 лет назад +3

    I don't get everyone in this commentary slamming New Order! They didn't try to be Joy Division and thank God for that! They went in a totally different direction after Ian Curtis's death, ushering a New Order of synth pop elevating it to a level it hasn't been and never will be since. so stop criticizing a great band! can't we just appreciate their differences and that they are 2 totally different bands?

      +Dumme Kunst, I believe it is not easy to replace Peter Hook, but he has a unique style that can not be compared to Peter , who was always the soul of the band. Maybe the next record he finds his place in the band. Let's give a chance to the beginner . Hugs from Brazil.

    Music Complete is, to me at least, the best NO album since Technique. And Bernard is looking LESS stodgy than he did when they were inducted into the UK RnR Hall Of Fame. Sure, Hooky isn't here, but everyone has made peace with each other and now NO and The Light promote each other.

    The latest pedestrian offerings from New Order. I think they they need to take some serious notes from Wire. But then again Wire isn't making music for the house/ clubbing aficionados.
    Sort of glad I missed them on the last North American swing of their last tour. I got to save $75. Imagine...$75 buckaroos. What happened to $35.
    What sellouts

    For me this only comes alive with the new stuff. Like a fine wine, NO live matured and improved over the years, but seem to be going through the motions on the old songs here. New Lp, first great one they have made since 1989, would like to see them do Nothing but a Fool live. Their first great song since Vanishing Point.
