I got one and like it. It's extremely versatile and worth the price tag, in my opinion. The mood knob is supposed to go between distortion types like soft and hard clipping so it can supposedly do both the Rat and the Klon thing. I usually keep the tone knobs turned toward the center to distort the lower frequencies and get a good chunky distortion then clean it back up with the post knob. The mid knob is pretty good dimed for leads or for a pretty aggressive distortion
It's not the most metal pedal, but it's superb for anything from cleans to grungy rock tones. It's definitely an _overdrive,_ not a pre-amp or metal zone-type distortion. Found one second-hand a while ago, and it's one of the best purchases I've made in the last year or so.
The kernom ridge is an overdrive too rule them all (i use it to replace a loooot of my drives). You can go to TS to KING OF TONE, to your own sound. I made 2 sounds with the exp control and go from here to there. Really great product.
looks like it could be an awesome pedal into the front of an amp. Especially with the preset function, I could definitely see myself using this but for that price I would definitely have to try it first. Sounds like you could get a precision drive-type sound out of those tone knobs and then, with the preset button, set up a turbo gain squashed kinda sound almost like an hm-2 or similar for breakdowns or another boost voicing for solos, without having another pedal on the board. I like it
Sounds cool. Pre tone is altime good! Especially if you have strings above 0.46 And just like Andy Sneap said! A good tone allows for a good composition.
We used to test pedals in shops just by chugging and measuring the sound against a Megadeth or Metallica album we wanted to get close to. In the 90's your options were limited to your knowledge of where stores were...so the hunt was on! CHUG CHUG CHUG!
Seems good. I'm wondering if I will ever hear about good pedals to pair with my katana artist combo. Its effects and tone are already so good but its distortion is more traditional, not quite brutal metal distortion but still heavy, and I don't know if a noise gate would be beneficial or not bc I'm still unsure how noise gates work exactly
I was always fascinated with James 'JY" Young of STYX and his Yoshinerator pedal that was custom made in the 70's. He wanted something to sound like Hendrix. Do you know what he uses now?
Hey Ola, #pleaserespong! Just got first tube amp (Revv D20) and I want to plug into computer via interface through xlr cable. It’s too loud for apartment to use with cabinet. Guitar into amp and cab sounds great. Amp into interface no audio at all. When I plug guitar into interface and practice using Neural DSP sound is fine except for some low level 60 cy hum. Can anyone help? Newbie at home recording. Would love to try out my new amp. Thanks!
I love Ola, and thoroughly enjoy all of his demos, but this one really doesn't do this pedal justice. There are a ton of other in-depth demos of this pedal. I wouldn't buy it expecting a hard rock/metal distortion, but it's an incredibly versatile overdrive.
I'm always fearing the worst whenever he starts testing something he knows nothing of. It can be good to come at it with no pre-conceived ideas, but sometimes a little bit of info, even just a press release, could help steer the demo in the right direction.
Well, that's quite pricey for a pedal....nice looking but you can buy an amp for that. And we don't really know how it works!!!! With all due respect Ola - i have been here for years - next time get the manual out, so you can make a proper demo mate, this really sucked. Peace and love everyone. 👽🤘
*Ola, I like your videos. I was wondering, "are you a member or affiliate with the Klu Klux Klan? OR, a member of any the patriot-nationalist organization here AT North America?*
Once that mood knob was going up I was like okay this thing can chug.

Yeah, kind of sounds like one of those distortion pedals where one can dry and tighten up the signal or the other way around. Gnarly!
Just read the manual Ola...it is an amazing pedal....
The Layout is amazing tho
Its one of the most beautiful pedal I've seen
Its like modern plugins UI in a pedal format
wickeeeed!!! We love that pedal! hope you're all good mate!

Reminds me of the shape knob on my first amp, Crate G60XL 1993!
HA! Yes, my first amp was a G-10 before I hit the big time with a G60. I remember that shape knob \m/

Analog signal path (no latency), digital control (127 midi slots for presets), different distortion types with the “mood” knob.
Sounds good to me.

very interesting video, thank you and greetings Pavel Czech Republic
The design is superb 🥰 ... so is the sound 🤗 Thank you for this demo Ola 🙂👌
This pedal sounds cool as hell!
that sounds great mate

I have one on the way. I was about to look for a distortion pedal to pair with it until I came across this video. It gets very chuggy on its own!
I was always fascinated with James 'JY" Young of STYX and his Yoshinerator pedal that was custom made in the 70's. He wanted something to sound like Hendrix. Do you know what he uses now?
Sounds pretty good for metal
Tnx Ola! Anyone familiar with Wampler Pantheon DLX,
compared to this one, thoughts?
Did it chug!? 🧐
Hi ola, I was just wondering if you would be selling other gage guitar picks. Red in the Wisconsin
how is it in front of an amp's distortion channel? it sounded like it could be a bit RATty (among other things)
🤘🤘
the chug pedal killer
Looks like this video was filmed long ago)
sounds like marshall to me. at least before the over drive🙂.
Ola is the new youngest version of hetfield. Bow DOWN!!! NOW!!!
6:14 it has midi
Which clean amp are you using in your DAW in this demo?
What table are u using?

RTFM dude 😂
I bet that's a typo and should mode.

All you do is complain
@@jme214 that's a matter of opinion mate. You don't have to read it and you don't have to agree either.
Your pedal far much better for $200🤘🏼
Day 357 of asking Ola for an 8 string solar T.
1st
*Ola, I like your videos. I was wondering, "are you a member or affiliate with the Klu Klux Klan? OR, a member of any the patriot-nationalist organization here AT North America?*
That thing seems super finicky. NEXT.
Day 356 of asking Ola for an 8 string solar T.
How do I say it sounds nasty and horrible, but as a compliment?
Blah…I don’t think it delivers a great sound. Maybe it works better with a real amp vs some dsp thing. As of what I’ve heard just now…nope. It’s blah.
This. And adjusting looks like a real pain in the ass. Overdrives and distortions are meant to be 3-4 knob pedals with straight forward logic
Not all that impressed. Seems like you can get more for less out of other boutique pedals. Especially if it's a digital pedal.
It's digitally controlled by MIDI and can store presets but the guitar path is analogic
Not once did i think that sounded good. At all
Underwhelming. Price = hard pass for me.
Oh, not this turd. Forget it. Iys one of those 1 million features, and it's still crappie kind of bits of gear.
More rubbish, just practice more and an OD1 from Boss is all you need.
