Every time I see a trailer on your channel I automaticly want one. I do Not have a need for one though. I fib, I have a five by 8 foot for my mower But these blow my mind. I like that side front hatch for pallet loading gear you can't push foward. The hidden ramps - nice and heavy duty. Darn good axels 10K each, sweet & that rear gate-that latch...heavy duty last long time. The dump angle - make me smile Stan. why you do this to me? Thank you and be safe.
That Horizon is a beautiful trailer. Love that two tone paint option. Really impressed with that swing-out side door, something you don't see on dump trailers. The whole thing seems to be well engineered all around with the ttongue toolbox to the triple taillights and multiple marker lights. Can't wait to see the other videos in this series! Have a good one, Stan.
Always showing us the neat equipment out there that can help us get work done easier, & enjoy it a bit more. There are so many options out there. It's so nice to get the full scope from the guy who puts them to work! Thanks brother. I'd rather spend more on a piece of equipment with the little "extras" that you would almost hope would come standard (stronger materials, better designs, more versatility, extra storage, etc...). Keep the great videos coming!! So helpful & appreciated. Not to mention making us all dream on the next one!
I purchased one on 12/12/22. Got the one thats not a goose neck. The one part that is rusting is between the fender and trailer so theirs a long brow line running along the inside of the fender. Also the pin where it tilts on and the two small chains in the rear. I have not had enough time to do anymore inspections on my trailer. I just hope i can get around to it soon and fix their missed issues. I need to fix all them exposed areas before winter gets here again and get salt into them tight rusted areas. Nevada got a good snow pack starting from day one of 2023.
🚚🎥👍 Wow, that Horizon trailer is truly stunning! The attention to detail is remarkable, from the elegant two-tone paint option to the innovative swing-out side door. It's refreshing to see such well-engineered features, like the tongue toolbox, triple taillights, and multiple marker lights. This trailer sets a new standard in functionality and style. I'm eagerly looking forward to watching the rest of the series and exploring more of its impressive capabilities. Keep up the great work, and have a fantastic day, Stan! 🌟🔧👏
Oh man that thing is siiiiiiick! Looks like horizon blasts everything before paint and the other brand leaves the mill scale. Some folks might argue the mill scale offers a bit more corrosion resistance, but i think it's just so they can avoid paying the labor to make it nice.
@@petersmart1999 that kind of decision is made by someone in an office looking to trim labor at the expense of product quality because folks let them get away with it. Buy from there ones who invest in a good product rather than just trying to turn and burn for short term numbers.
I appreciate how they blended in the frame in different spots with little end caps and angled plate. Making the trailer “look” more streamlined. Typically when fabricators go the extra effort on the details? They don’t skimp on the other areas trailer manufacturers are known to purposely just not do.
I have a 2008 PJ 14K 14' Dump, it's been a great trailer. The only issues is their powder coat paint job, the paint flakes off in big sheet while driving down the road. The box latch lasted a few years before it didn't work. The swing down ramp door lasted awhile, I just cut the hinges off and use the clip pins to hold it on.
Stan I wish I'd known you were coming down. Would have loved to at least come meet ya. My shop is 10 min away and I do a ton of business with both Wrightway and P&K. Love that Horizon trailer. Much better finish than a PJ and honestly looks a touch better built.
I go so nerded out over trailers.... they are so cool! So many different types! Im SUPER impressed with the quality of the Horizon, love the side door! Love your videos!
Question for you stan, How would I, an inexperienced operator go about maybe getting some seat time in an excavator? I have a kubota dealer that does rentals and i was just wondering if you thought that was a good idea.
Depending how n why you need the seat time I have rented equipment, I believe there are training schools around the US, and I even saw some kind of tv program that highlighted a place in Vegas where you paid to run equipment on a construction site, a mini excavator being one of the pieces.
There’s a game called “Excavator Simulator”, sounds like something that would help you out. A lot of training is just getting the muscle memory working, so time spent doing the simple things. Also watching YT on how the pros do stuff, they don’t drive in there and start digging, they clear certain areas first, they think about the ground conditions
On the ramps, turn the angle iron upside down so there is two points of contact with tires / treads. This is a great trailer, especially with tandem dual 24k. Also, I like the lights placement so they don't get destroyed by rocks tumbling out the back. Also, look at how they welded the fenders to the dump box, that way dirt and rocks do not wedge themselves between the fender and the dump bed making it hard to dump, fowling the paint, and something else to clean -- epic! Fork holders / Side door are nice! I still am partial to my BWise Ultimate Dump 21k trailer with the Hydraulic Loading gate.
Not sure why they don't offer wired and wireless remote for spreading and a simple solar charger for the battery. But a very nice trailer overall from this video
I’m considering a dump trailer to haul horse manure but want to be able to haul my tractor which has a cab. Doors won’t open with wall 4’ tall. Need a 2’ tall side wall so it will double duty.
Nice trailer. I noticed there's no gasket on the tool box, so it'll allow water in while driving. Not a big deal, but straps and chains will get wet. Bigger downside is an 80" wide interior. Hard to carry an 84" bucket. Not Deal breakers. Too bad they're not available in Canada.
Love the colors ,reminds me of the 1973 mustang mach 1,orange with 2 black racing stripes. Do I need a class A license to pull her? And o yeah how much out the door $?
Fyi, trailer flooring plate over lap isn’t a engineering specialty. It’s basically laying two 4ftx8ft plates on top of one another. Very simplistic in the fabrication process. It’s also doubling up the thickness in the middle of the trailer by default. I’ve re-skinned plenty of dump trailer beds.
Stan I love your dump trailer collections. There are exotic car collectors and sports memorablia collectors. One day, you gotta get Brian Fullerton to do an episode of shop tours just on your dump trailers😃
I watch many review videos and on a good many of them they just dance around the price discussion but never actually come out with the MSRP. We all want to know. You know we all want to know. Why not just tell us? I mean you are talking to the salesman. For those wanting to know you are looking at around $22,000 for this model. Cheers!
Nice trailer, for sure, but he was so proud to mention that front mounted “tool box…” Yet it’s not really a tool box, mainly a battery and all the wiring storage compartment; with SOME free space for tools and what not 😄
If they are at the same price point, it's a no brainer. Either way, I'd personally never own a PJ trailer unless they wanted to give it to me for free. The only info I think was missed was how much the scissor lift is rated for, though I would assume about the 14-16k mark. Would prefer telescoping but not a deal breaker. Side door sounds awesome, hopefully in testing it doesn't prove to flex too much. Definitely a good looking trailer and love the simplicity of design and how most of the smaller pieces look to be stronger metal where the PJs looks more easily damaged.
can the ramps hook to the side door opening? i dont see a slot like at the rear. It would be nice to wheel barrow loads to the side walk directly. not loading out the back then having to jump up on a curb to get to the job site when using a wheel barrow. plus side of a tall curb or higher elevation sidewalk then the street is the ramps are less of an angle.
Someone is aimed at Diamond C for sure. Ive got thier 16ft telescopic dump and i see alot of design cues taken from that platform. Frame, bed structure ,ramps and many other items. Im not a fan of the guard and high mounted roll tarp. My diamond and tge pj have thier mounted low in the front which is more protected. Curious to see how the side door holds up with bed flex over time. That is a sweet option if it holds up.
just by chance the last video I watched was a video of yours where you were saying that you would never buy a scissor lift dump trailer over a telescopic ram one ...
Stan the only thing I would be worried about is the side door how reinforced is it I would be worried that it would flex and bend at that point if something heavy was dropped on that section of the trailer
depends on what its made out of , I suspect given the gauge thickness its like AR 400 or even AR450, which means its already 2-3x as strong at the same thickness as anything else.
Very nice! Certainly want to see how its doing after some, & some more (lol) use & abuse... I've seen quite a few new trailer places showing up, & New brands too. They aren't all built similar, & some are of poor quality. Thanx !
I'm just curious what your plans are for it. My 19 ram has a 4.10 and the 8 speed trans with the hemi. My gcwr is 24,000lbs. This leaves me about 17,000 to tow. If the trailer weighs 6,000 empty.. I would max out at 11,000 lbs of load. This is now a class A CDL trailer.. to gain 1500 lbs of load over a 14k trailer. In my eyes it's not worth it unless I was running duallys....
I think this geared more towards the pro concrete companies that like to have nice things that last a long time. I can definitely see this thing getting ceramic coated and washed weekly as part of a OCD fleet mangers dream assets. I know I'm gonna suggest the company I work for buy one. I'll let you know how long she lasts and how much the Ceramic coating costs.
Looks like a very nice and well thought out trailer. The only problem I see it’s not telescopic cylinder. It’s.the dreaded scissor lift design. So will it actually lift with a heavy load up front?
not in the market for one nor will i probably ever be but for just over 15k out the door that is a steal for that trailer. great engineering and design and looks great too hope you enjoy it Stanley
I’ve been running brimar (bwise) and just got a Texas pride roll off trailer, personally think Texas pride and Nedlands are top tier for roll offs, but I’ve seen these new horizon trailers popping up a lot lately

The tail lights on the orange trailer seem to be covered some what by the lip of the rear gate on both sides.

How does this Horizon compare to a Diamond C or Gator?
Just saw you at Lowe's making a video about a Craftsman log splitter.

What about the cylinder? What size is it? How much can it lift?

Nice trailer Stan!! Don't see many 10k single axles!
Im waiting for a horizon trailer to come from Wright Way. This is my hometown
Asking Ben to open the door because one hand is filming, and the other is picking your jaw up off the ground.
Basically 🤤

Nice and Well Designed Trailer.
