Another way to scale an airport is that you can use google map to know the size of the terminal and runway width using a reference from a real 1:400 model and put the picture of the plane the same size as the 1:400 plane
I am about to go headfirst into an airport project and need advice. I am building the terminal one concourse at Manchester airport in 1:400 scale, i am going to make it out of plywood and Windows out of acrylic with interior lighting. Since I can never find any tutorials for terminal buildings I need to know if I am doing anything wrong, thanks.
Hi, you probably won’t see this since you posted this a very long time ago, but what do you do when your phone board keeps curling, because I really like the airport I built but my phone board keeps curling
Yo just wondering where do you get your model planes from or what website. I’m having a really hard time finding them and I really want to build and airport. I would appreciate it if you could tell me. Please and thank you :)
sweet tutorial mate... I have to say... your layout of BUF is really realistic... cant wait for the vid! also thx for tagging my first update in there loll
Today i asked all my friends for thin pieces of wood or foam boards and nobody had ANYTHING that i needed so my friend ended up giving me four big construction paper pieces, oh well :D
Reason why Buffalo airport is so small(other than size). Is because for most international flights and some US flights most people drive the 90min to YYZ. Because there are more airlines and more destinations served
Thanks dude i have needed ideas for MONTHS and then i see THIS, GEINUS!!!! How much did this cost in total, im 12, and i MYSELF only have a few quarters :D
im really excited to *ONCE I GOT MY STUFF, ALL I NEED FOR NOW IS A FOAM BOARD* start building the airport, you just lit up a MASSIVE landing light in my head! the airport design is G E I N U S ! ! ! cant wait to start building! thanks bro! liked for sure! P.S how much did this cost, and how much did each thing cost *Grass, Green Tape, Paint Pens, SPRAY PAINT* cuz i am on a super budget :D have a good day
My friends making a model airport with some wood as terminals.. no taxiways and runway, it’s “imagination.” He uses Daron models which go for less than 15$
Is there a place where there's really cheap aircraft? I really want to make a model airport with f-16s with 1:72 scale however, I find planes that cost 20 dollars and I want a large quantity without wasting lots of money.
Luckily my local airport is just like 2-3 miles from me it’s Gerald r Ford international can you please make a model of it if you do that would be greatly appreciated!
It took about like five days to start up my airport but we’re still working on it and it’s if you want to own it then it’s $45,000 and and it’s a I think it will probably be four weeks to finish so I’ll be probably still in school😔😜🙂😇
I spent maybe $5 most on my physical airport and took 3nweeks lol

Or just use the measure tool and divide the length by 400.
Lockdown is starting to look a lot more fun

You can get them any online aviation store and in some model stores/airport stores. The airplanes sizes are 1:400 of the real thing, or 1 in 400th
thank you
What sign and I can’t see anything
How much in Canadian dollars
What is the length for the foam board
Big
I want to see how to make the airplanes in another video
I love foamboard

Filled out the form
Why is there an advanced side an a non-advanced, is that just for show?
What planes did you use?
Spirit Airlines He uses GeminiJets.
That's the Gemini Jets airport I do!
Oh and put cardboard boxes for terminal
How do I get the right measurements for my model airport
Well measurement is down to personal preference but just measure the area you see that your airport can fit in and then work around that
@@Aviation18 I'm trying to make it realistic tho
I wood make a video of my fireworks stands how do I make theam
Me to
What is the size of the board
It all depends on what size you want to make your airport but man was 2 feet by 5 feet
How about a runway
I want to but I can’t
I am in because I don’t know where it is
I made mine out of cardboard……
Budget at its best
