I discovered this podcast through one of my nieces. I was particularly interested in this episode. Because of the mention of my dad regarding hazmat. I would like to mention that it was Howard Kennedy not Tom Kennedy. Thanks, Chris

This was a truly incredible show !! Chief Ingram is a very intelligent and thinking out of the box gentleman. Lots and lots of inside and behind the scenes information. I loved learning just how scummy the P.D. was back then. Not surprised !

I live in San Jose Calif., in silicon valley, where there are plenty of exotic chemicals used in electronic manufacturing, and, I've worked with some. At one chip fab, the MSDS for a new chemical had "Unknown" listed in the chronic exposure effects. Great. So, I can feel for the concerns of those research lab hazmat incidents.
The San Jose FD has had a Hazmat unit since the 1980's.
