This is a project I’ve been toying with all winter. It’s looking more and more like I should be preemptive with the Team primary replacement. Thanks for the info!

Just did this on my father's 2020 rxc I can confirm and argue that the screws that hold the ring on are exactly the same from the team to the adapt! Don't waste hard earned money on screws you will not need!

So I gave up waiting on maybe a clutch recall update from Arctic cat as of all of them growing a time bomb effect. I installed a Polaris P-85 primary. I’ve got a 2019 hardcore 153 with a silber turbo. The response is still ridiculous and belt life has increased also. And I’m not scared to hold the throttle to the bars. Cheers🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺.

Nice. Glad it is working out good for you. Was it a direct bolt on? I assume you had to mod or replace your secondary to adjust belt deflection?

    • @fasterdura1772

@@MotörDogzAdventures had to get the taper cut. Special bolt out of states with the funky bushing spacer. Got the bolt from a 16 secondary for deflection and it’s been good.

Great video. I bought a brand new team through BDX in 2020 for my 2013 M8 to replace the old unserviceable cat unit. It has around 2k miles on it and holding up good. When I spoke with the guy from BDX he told me there was a bad run of team clutches cat got from team for the models that came with them on them. Idk if that holds true or not but so far the one I have is not showing any cracking or abnormal wear. With that said, I'm eye balling the adapt but cant justify the switch to it just yet. i guess if I start seeing some serious cracking goin on I'll do it.. but crossing fingers it wont.

Thanks! Cat did recall some of the 2017/18 Team clutches for cracking but stopped there. They should keep going as the problem clearly wasn't fixed. Keep an eye on it for sure, check the outside sheave with a mirror on a regular basis. Cheers!

Or just put a cvtech clutch on it and never have to worry about rebuilding a clutch again. Problemo solved

So far I have almost 1000 miles on the new clutch and it has been working great. I finally received the bolts for the ring gear and installed it. Took a good look at the clutch while it was on the bench and everything still looks new. So far I am very happy with it.
